Windows Vista to be released January 20, 2007

I'm actually amazed this hadn't been posted. I wonder how many people are going to be switching over and just how well the system will work, especially given how long it's been delayed.

Won't be getting it. Kubuntu does me fine, has a new version out every 6 months, and if I wanted it to could already do all the stuff Vista can without needing such high hardware requirements.

I think I may rebuild one of our old computers downstairs to run on Kubuntu, but I think that I'll leave Mac OSX running on my MacBook

It looks like an improvement to XP, but I don't know... at any rate, OSX makes me very happy. Be interested to see what people think of Vista once it's released, though.

Really? me too, i have had pro for about 3 months now, the academy got it on their new pcs awhile back and so far its pretty good for windows.

the hardware specifications are too exceesive and may make my computer explode although i do think its quite nice on the eyes
