-Terra Nova-

T'Sa sighed softly as she moved for the house carefully. She took each step one at a time and took in the details of the area. It was quite exctravigant. T'Sa had no idea things could be this... detailic for a home. She moved for the door and entered the house, looking around at the room she had just entered.

-DSG, Banquet Hall-

Archer looked back to Ziona and her father, and spoke softly.

"What will you two have?"

-U.s.s. San Antonio, Engineering-

Kiris sighed.
Duty calls. Ill be back as soon as I can. Kiris turned to the computer.
Computer, Site to site Transport, San Antonio Engine room to Just outside the Banquet hall, DSG. Kiris disappeared into the matter stream.

-DSG, Banquet Hall-

Kiris walked in from the hallway. He took a seat in one of the chairs and waited to find out what was going to happen.

Earth, Restaurant
Founder wrote:

The doors to the restaurant were pushed open, not having the automatic doors DSG had. The restaurant certainly had an old Earth style feel to it. It was probably what made it appealing to most people. Now, it was packed, mainly with DSG and Elerra Prime refugees. Two people led an older man into the restaurant. Most people on Earth, at least around here, probably didn't even know who he was, but on Elerra Prime, he was well known. Governor Ahmad Fadi Al-Firdos, dressed in flowing robes, entered with his two senior aides. They all took a seat at the corner table, closest to the door.

"It...looks nice..." Al-Firdos commented.

His two aides, Sirex and Tolal, stared back at him. It was obvious both men did not like the restaurant at all. For them, it was too...small class and quaint. They didn't like the governor being there as well. Mainly due to paranoia. It was understandable. They lived on Elerra Prime and almost everyday, something bad happened over there. If it wasn't the Nautolians or Romulans, it was an anomaly, anti-Human groups, or some dangerous psychic alien living underground.

"Governor?" Sirex said, "Surely we can find somewhere else to eat? I believe if-"

Al-Firdos quickly cut him off.

"Enough Sirex," He said, "You two are always complaining. You're more wound up then a Jem'Hadar. Enough. I had a long trip, nothing to eat as well. Let's just eat and then we'll find a place to sleep. Ok?"

They both nodded, not really liking it, but having to accept it. Their table put them in a position for Sophia to see them. If she did or not, that was up to her. Sophia, as almost any Terran from her side of the universe, would immediatly recognize Al-Firdos. In this universe, he was of course a kind, strict, but benovalent leader. In the mirror universe, that was definitly not the case. There, he was an intendant for the Alliance. While it would normally be strange for a Terran to be an intendant, he was made so because he sold out his species for power in the Alliance. Al-Firdos helped the Alliance murder and enslave thousands of his brother and sister Terrans. Al-Firdos was intendent of the mirror universe Elerra Prime for some time. He was a cruel and heartless man. Weekly, he would pick out a random slave and kill them. No real reason, just to do it. He became one of the most hated Terrans amongst the rebellion. When the Alliance's power fell and MU Xavier took control of the MU DSG, he fled and went into hiding. His current status is unknown...

Sophie smiles as the waiter who just took her order walks away. She takes a moment to have a good look at the decour. It is interesting to her, she imagines it is reseblance of the early ages of this Earth. The varieties of humanoids in one place astounds Sophie. Her eyes rest on a nearby party of three. She nearly chokes on her water when she sees Al-Firdos. A mouthful of water bursts from her mouth. She moves quickly to wipe it up with her water as she receives strange looks from serveral nearby people. Her reaction is understandable given that the last time she had seen the man had not been a pleasant experience. OF course, she reminds herself, that was another lifetime and another universe. The Al-Firdos she had once known was a beast of a man. This Al-Firdos could hardly be held responsible for the actions of his mirror counterpart.

"I don't know if Mommy's ever going to get used to this," she says quietly to Demetrius. Meaning of course, running into counterparts of people from her past. She caresses her sons cheek and begins to prepare a bottle for his dinner.

-Uknown Place, Interrogation Chamber-

TRell stopped screaming again. He was shaking involuntarily. The alien retracted the device again.
Feeling more corporative yet? Before TRell could answer another alien entered.
The shuttle has dropped out of Warp near a Wormhole. It disappeared a moment ago. They need your presence on the council immediately. The alien shook its head. Very well. Keep my new friend busy here while I am gone. The new alien nodded. The other left. The remaining alien approached TRell and removed the restraints.
Can you walk? TRell shakily looked at the alien. Was this some sort of deception?
TRell sat forward and then stood to his feet.
Why? TRell asked. The alien pulled him close.
Not all of us agree with the way our people do things. If you wish, I can help you escape. TRell looked at the alien. At the moment he wasnt in any position to turn down help.
Not without Survok. The alien nodded.
Then we must be cautious and will have to get you some equipment. TRell was still slightly shaking.
Equipment? The alien handed TRell a belt and several devices.
The belt will mask your life signs. These weapons are ammunition based, make each shot count. Now lets go.

-Romulan Shuttle-

Sub-Lt. Chilnak dropped the shuttle out of warp, dropped the cloak and entered the wormhole. A moment later he exited the other side. He saw the Federation Station, Several Romulan ships, Admiral Ditexs he guessed and one Klingon Bird of Prey. Chilnak keyed the com.
Sub-Lt. Chilnak to the Salara. Respond please. There was a short pause.
This is Ditex. Where is commander TRell? Chilnak wasnt sure.
Permission to submit my report in person Admiral? Another short pause.
Dock your vessel and proceed directly to the bridge. Chilnak was relieved
Understood sir. Chilnak Out.

-DSG, Banquet Hall-

Ian had been checking every detail in the room as everyone continued to enter. Flags, the UFP ones, were in place and set up. A banner hung at the back of the wall, welcoming the Aikon to the Federation. Food from both the Aikon and Federation were set up on top of the massive table that could fit 100 people. 49 on each side and two at each end. Smith would sit at one end, while the Grand Sovereign would sit at the other. A show using Federation fighters was being prepared and would serve as one of the many entertainments. The Banquet Hall didn't have divided view ports, but rather one long connected one. That way, everyone could see the show clearly. Ian regreted that his first officer would not be attending. He knew the man had an affinity for music as did some of the other officers onboard the station. Some music from a live band would have been wonderful. The station would have to do...

"Computer," He called out, "Play some music."

It beeped and questioned.

"Please specify." It said.

Ian thought about it for a moment, wondering what type of music could be neutral. What might be light hearted music for Humans could be the trumpet of Armegeddon for the Aikon. He didn't want to evoke their anger or fury.

"Play something classical, but nothing vocal," He said, "Something by Beethoven maybe..."

The computer beeped and music began to play, but at a low level so the guests could hear each other. He walked towards another the table and stared down at the formal documents that were placed. Old stlye pens were there, but more for ceremony than anything else. Their "signing" into the Federation would be through a modern day PADD. He stared down at the UFP symbol that was on all of the documents. Ian was worried about letting these...people join the Federation. He was reluctant, but willing to accept it...if just to end the war. He was interrupted from his thoughts when a young woman approached him and asked if everything was in order. He vaguely recognized her, but didn't know her name. His eyes darted towards her neck line and he saw she was a lieutenant junior grade.

"I believe so lieutenant," He told her, "Excuse me."

With a quick nod, he walked off and spoke to one of the officers that helped set everything up.

"Ensign?" He said, "Go to the cargo bay 2. We have Romulan ale stored in there inside of crates marked "Hydrospanners". Don't ask. Bring a crates worth up here. There are more people then was anticipated. Go!"

The officer nodded and rushed off. Ian sighed in content. It seemed that everything was prepared. He noticed his new chief of engineering walk in and to his surprise, the man was not dressed in his dress uniform, but his normal Starfleet, and a little dirty, uniform. Ian felt slightly annoyed, but then remembered the man was working tirelessly to repair the 5th fleet. He didn't have time to bath or change uniforms. Ian felt someone tap him on his shoulder and quickly spun to face the person. Of course, it was admiral Smith.

"Captain," He said with a smile, "This looks good so far."

Ian was shocked. Normally, Smith would be screaming that one tiny thing was not perfect.

"Thank you sir." Ian said, not knowing what else to say.

An officer carrying a tray of wine. He walked over to admiral Smith and captain Xavier, offering both men a glass. Both men took one and the officer continued around towards the other guests, which continued to grow in amount. Smith took a sip.

"Ah," He said, "It's the Chateau Picard I brought over. Captain Picard's deceased brother used to own a vineyard. He had a few bottles on the Enterprise-E. When he found out the Aikon would be inducted into the Federation, he gave me a bottle for the ceremony, regretting he can not be here."

Ian took a sip and found it to be a bit dry, but tasteful. Picard no doubt was pleased that a species he made first contact with was joining the Federation, but he wondered if Picard knew the Aikon and their true nature...

"Well," Ian replied, "It isn't his fault. The man is helping to protect the Neutral Zone from more then one threat."

Smith stared at the red wine, lost in deep thought.

"Yes...," He said, "But that's all about to change. Once the Aikon join, Fito will be crushed..."

Ian tilted his head to the side in curiosity.

"And then what?" He asked.

Smith looked away from the red wine, wondering what he meant.

"What?" He asked, "What do you mean "and then what"?"

Ian looked around, not wanting any officers to hear this.

"Well," He said slowly, "What I mean is, what happens after the Nautolian war?"

Smith shrugged, "Things go back to the way they were. The Aikon have billions of Mogdai workers. They could assist in helping us to rebuilt what we've lost."

Ian stifled the urge to roll his eyes.

"Slave is what I'd call them." He thought to himself.

Before Ian could continued the conversation, an officer blew the Boatswain's whistle, announcing the entrance of the Grand Sovereign. Ian turned and saw the small Aikon leader float in chair. Several people clapped, with Ian joining in. Right behind the Aikon leader was the massive Orog body guard and six Mogdai servants. Ian felt a pang of guilt looking at them. They looked starved and weak. Not like the Orog or the chubby Chi.

"Grand Sovereign Chi ladies and gentlemen!" Smith announced.

The applause grew louder as the small alien took his place at the head of the table. The ceremony was not beginning just yet. Some more people still needed to get there, but it would soon begin, with or without them. The officer that was sent to retrieve the Romulan Ale came back with four bottles worth. That would be more then enough. Romulan Ale was so strong that even a Klingon could get drunk off of it, and that took a while. Ian motioned for the man to begin pouring the glasses. While the ale was illegal in the Federation, there aren't many officers in Starfleet that could say they have not drank it. It was almost reminescent to Cuban cigars in 20th century America. Ian approached one of the tables, filled with drinks and took a bottle and began pouring in four glasses.

Ian hoped that the Grand Sovereign would have the stomach for this...

-Earth, Restaurant-

Governor Al-Firdos heard the woman cough up her water and looked at her. To his surprise, she was staring at him in horror, but quickly looked back towards her baby.

"What was that all about?" He asked, no one in particular.

The Vulcan aide looked at her and then back at the governor.

"Unknown," He said, "Perhaps she is aware of your status."

Al-Firdos laughed, "I doubt I'm some celebrity."

The Bolian looked up from the menu and stared at the woman the two men were speaking about.

"I've seen her before," He revealed, "My sister lives near her in Guardian City. Well...she did before the evacuation. She said that every so often, rarely, she would see captain Xavier visit her."

Al-Firdos reacted in surprise, wondering if the woman was a friend, relative, or maybe even significant other to the captain.

"Was the child his?" He thought to himself.

"My goodness," He said, "That poor woman, alone here? Captain Xavier must be worried sick."

He signaled for a waiter to come to them. The waiter, a young man, approached the table.

"Yes sir?" He asked, "More water?"

Al-Firdos shook his head, "No no no."

He pointed towards Sophia.

"If you could," He said, "Could you send that woman a message? I'd like to invite her to eat with us."

The waiter nodded and quickly took off. Both of his aides shot a dissaproving lookg, but said nothing. The waiter approached Sophia and whispered into her ear, passing on the message. It would be up to her if she accepted or not...

-DSG, Banquet Hall-

Ian had offered Smith and the Grand Sovereign a glass of Romulan Ale to which both heartily accepted. He knew that any other time, Smith would be complaining about the use of the Romulan Ale. Ian didn't bother to offer a glass to the servants or the guard. He had a feeling the Grand Sovereign would dissaprove. All three men was standing, or floating, next to the table and drinking.

"Grand Sovereign," Ian said, "May I ask if any other Aikon will be attending?"

The alien took another swig of the ale, downing it at an alarming rate.

"No," He said, "My people don't like to travel off world very often. If you saw the paradise that was my world, you'd understand. Besides, with the Mogdai and Orogs, we no longer need to leave our world as often anyways."

Ian nodded, learning a little more about Chi's species as time went by.

"I see." He said, taking a sip of the rather strong alchohol.

The banquet was crowded with people, but not to the point where it was uncomfertable. The room was massive enough to fit everyone. Just a few more moments and it would begin. Ian cast a look in the direction of one of the servants, who stared at the ground sadly.

"Federation allies..." He thought to himself, trying to shut his moral side up.

(Andy, you'll like this, I'll actually use a pic! One I've already posted before, though, )

~ Blake Robitaille's Quarters, Deep Space Guardian ~

Blake rushed about his quarters quickly. Being that he had spent most of his time in his office, allocating security officers to different sections of the station to guard the Aikon's quarters, to the outside of the banquet hall, to the inside of the banquet hall, and several sharpshooters in a loft. He doubted any of it would be needed, but it was just his standard.

Blake had been very quickly informed of the arrival of some marines to the station, including the Field Marshal Andreas. The last time he had seen that man was during the entire incident with Harfin Dicot. Blake was still glad to have disposed of that man... quietly.

Blake had finally devised his means of dealing with the Aikon, and it currently rested on his desk in his quarters. It was a bio-neural gel-pack used within the computer to rely orders far quicker than normal circuitry. It had first been tested in starships, namely the Intrepid class and was found to be a success.

Blake placed his dress uniform on having just dried from his rushed shower. He wouldn't have time to shave and he noticed his hair was getting longer than he normally kept it. Trivial matters that he ignored in the wake of all that has been happening. The uniform was now on and Blake ran a small amount of gel through his hair to simply make it look a bit wavy. A hint of cologne for good measure was added and Blake walked over to his desk and strapped his belt to his waste, which had a hand phaser just in case. Blake he headed out the door and locked his room behind him by password.

~ Banquet Hall, Deep Space Guardian ~

Several moments after leaving his quarters, Blake entered into the banquet call. He noticed security officers standing at all the entrances and several others found patrolling the halls. Inside the banquet hall were numerous others along the perimetre and Blake looked up to vaguly see his sharpshooters, knowing exactly where to look for them.

Blake looked around the banquet hall and saw all the different faces. The first thing that caught his attention was the large four-armed incredible hulk that towered over the feeble looking Aikon leader. He wondered why they never rose up against the Aikon given their size. He assumed it was a technological thing.

Given Blake's position on the station, he would no doubt have to take part in mingling with others. The first people he saw were Field Marshall and Commander Andreas. He approached the two of them.

"Hello Commander," he nodded to Ziona, then turned to the Field Marshall. Their last encounter wasn't to pleasent, but this was not the occassion to be bitter, "Greetings, Field Marshall. It's good to see that you survived the whole ordeal with the Romulans. Rumour had it at first that you hadn't survived. The Federation would have lost a great officer and suffered from it."

Blake turned when a waiter walked closer with Romulan ale. Normally he would have scowled and apprehended anyone with it due to being illegal, but this was a special occassion and so Blake didn't care, in fact, he even took a glass as the waiter passed by. Blake remembered the old days in the academy when he and his friends would illegally acquire a bottle now and then through some friends. Those always turned out to be eventful nights... Blake was a rather large fellow by human standards, though, and could hold his liquor well. Hopefully this would still stand with the bright blue liquid he took a sip of.

DSG, Banquet Hall

Andreas turned to look at Blake as he entered and smiled slightly as Blake exchanged words with him. Ziona waited next to her father, rather uncomfortable with the situation. She, too, remembered the last encounter her father had with Blake.

"Hello, Commander." Andreas smiled quickly to Blake and nodded. "Yes, I must say I was lucky enough to be rescued when I was. Luckily, the skirmish with the Nautolians helped my escape go through easily. Unfortunately, however, I'm afraid Romulus has fallen or at least suffered great damage due to the onslaught of the Nautolians.

Ziona grabbed a glass of Romulan Ale as the waiter walked past, almost dying of surprise that her father wasn't ripping into Blake again, as he had done the last time the two had met. She took a quick drink and tried to smile at Blake, but the look on her face was of sheer surprise. Andreas arched an eyebrow at his daughter before turning back to Blake.

"Unfortunately, Commander, the Nautolian approach has forced me to call in some more Marines to help reinforce Deep Space Guardian. We were going to take over Marine OPS again, however, I've been informed by my daughter here that security was supposed to take over Marine OPS as a headquarters. I'm sure we can work something out in regards to that. And I'm more than willing to find another location to settle my troops if security is in dire need of the extra room. I don't wish to push you and your men out just because I'm adding a few extra precautions."

Ziona took another drink of Romulan ale, almost choking over the fact that her father was offering to give up Marine OPS to security. This was nothing like her father and Ziona was beginning to wonder if the man had hit his head rather severely on Romulus.

-Terra Nova, Thiandrus' Residence-

T'Sa took in the details of her new surroundings as she looked around for signs of people. That woman, the sister to Nicodemus., she clearly had a problem towards T'Sa, all due to her being Vulcan.

"...When my father returns, we won't be the least bit amused by this entire situation."

T'Sa wondered in her mind as she repeted the line to her self, what that meant. Was the entier family like this? She sighed mentally at that thought. How wonderful. The family of the man shes romanticly linked it, are racsists.

-DSG, Banquet Hall-

Archer stood to the side and watched the whole exchange. He found it interesting, being as the Field Marshall has a repuatation for being a hard ass. He also took a glass of the ale.

Hmm...been a while since I've had this.

Archer took a small sip and looked around the room carfully.

"I don't think they mean any harm miss," offers the waiter. "Probably just trying to be gentlemen. It's not right for a pretty lady to eat all alone."

It's not, him, she reminds herself. "Very well," she says standing tenativly. The waiter makes a signal in the air and several other waiters rush over to make room at the table for Sophia and the baby.

"Thank you, gentlemen," she says to the trio. She holds Demetrius in her arms. A waiter indicates the high chair. "He's fine for now," she replies. She is willing to sit with the men, however, she is not ready to put her son down amongst the strangers just yet.

-Salara, Bridge-

Chilnak stepped off the left and onto the bridge. He was thankful to be on a fully armed and crewed ship again. There ghostly emptiness of the Ferex was still fresh in his mind.
Sub-Lt. Chilnak reporting as ordered. NTran turned around in his chair. He eyed the young man for a moment then got up.
In my office. The two of them stepped into a room just off the bridge.
Tell me, Where is Commander TRell? Chilnak sat down.
They destroyed the TKere. A few of us were on the Ferex, Commander TRell was among them. Somehow they shutdown the entire ship. NTran sat down too. He could see the young man was shaken.
Do you have your Tricorder data handy? Chilnak produced his tricorder and laid it on the desk. NTran picked it up and linked it to his terminal. NTran quickly discovered the Ferex had been able to scan the ship that attacked them prior to its being disabled. The weapon in question was quite similar to the energy dampening weapon employed by the Breen during the Dominion War. Romulan ships could be modified although it wasnt easy.
Ditex to engineering.

Go ahead Admiral.
NTran summed up his thoughts.
Begin retrofitting the ship for encounters with energy dissipation weaponry.

Right Away Admiral.
Ditex also sent the message to two other Warbirds and KorTaghs bird of prey.
Sub-Lt. Chilnak, I am herby promoting you to the rank of full Lieutenant for services rendered in a critical situation. If it wasnt for your effort in getting this data to us we may not have had a chance. Dismissed. Chilnak stood up.
Yes sir! Thank you sir! Chilnak left the office. Now NTran faced a somewhat difficult task. He needed Xavier to grant passage for 3 Warbirds and KorTaghs ship through the wormhole. He keyed the com.
Romulan Warbird Salara to Deep Space Guardian. I request communication with Captain Xavier.

-DSG, Ops-

Jones, grateful to put something on the viewscreen other then the mammoth ship, switched to answer the Salara's hail. He looked up at the image on the screen, requesting Xavier.

"The captain is busy Salara," He said truthfully, "Can I help you?"

There was no way he was going to interrupt the induction of another world into the UFP. He hoped whatever they needed, he could assist.

-DSG, Banquet Hall-

It was a little after the time to get started, finally. Smith picked up a knife from the table and tapped his glass, causing many to turn towards the sound.

"Ladies and gentlemen!" He shouted, "If you all will take your seats, we shall begin!"

The hover chair made a wrrrring sound as it approached one end of the table. Smith took the opposite end and Ian sat to his right. Once everyone was seated, Smith stood from his seat and looked around.

"I've been waiting for this moment for several months," He said loudly so everyone could hear, "It took some time, but the Aikon have agreed to join the Federation and today, we have two ceremonies. I'd like to begin the first ceremoney before the induction. Captain?"

He motioned towards Xavier, who proceed to stand up.

"Thank you all for being here," Ian said loudly, "For those who don't know, I am captain Xavier and on behalf of the United Federation of Planets and Deep Space Guardian, we welcome the Aikon Grand Sovereign. I won't take up too much time with this. So, I'll begin now."

He pressed a button on a PADD next to his document. Immediatly, a floating, holographic image of the Vega system appeared high above the table.

"The Vega system has had a long and turbulent history," He said, "That history continues today, but it's name does not. The Federation has been waiting to officially rename the system for some time and today, coupled with the happy moment of the Aikon joining the Federation family, has come. As of today, changed in all Federation, Klingon, and..."

He was about to say Romulan, but that wasn't possible since Romulus is currently fighting for it's life and very freedom...

"...all starcharts, the Vega system is now the Elerran system," He announced, "Named after Elerra Prime, arguably the most important planet in the system."

He put his thumb print on a PADD, as did admiral Smith, making it official. Ian placed the PADD down and a light round of applause was heard. He sat back down and Smith rose from his seat. Currently, he was the only admiral there. Anymore brass and the risk of the Nautolians attacking would have only increased.

"Now that, that's done," He said, "We will begin the Aikon induction into the United Federation of Planets. I like to think that the Federation is more then just a union of planets, but a...family as mr. Xavier called it. Despite our different cultures, appearances, and overall way of life, under the Federation banner, we are one."

He made a motion with his hands, lacing his fingers together to put both hands together to prove his point.

"And now," He said, lifting the PADD, "We extend our family to include one more. Grand Sovereign?"

The tiny alien motioned towards one of the Mogdaii. The servant rushed forward and picked up the PADD. He held it up to the small alien who was meant to place his finger print there and seal the deal. The Grand Sovereign reached forward, but before he could place his print there, the servant nervously and accidentaly dropped the PADD. It made a whimpering sound and knelt down to pick it up quickly.

"Idiot!" Chi yelled.

He snapped his fingers and motioned towards the Orog. The massive alien stepped forward, causing loud sounds as he walked. It grabbed the Mogdai and snapped it's neck, right in front of everyone. The other Mogdai quickly took their comrade's dead body and moved it out of the way. Ian stood up in shock, while other murmured amongst themselves in surprise. He looked at the Grand Sovereign and to his surprise, the alien bastard didn't even bat an eye. It was as if he stepped on an insect and did everyone a favor by getting rid of it. He motioned towards another Mogdai to pick up the PADD.

"What is wrong with you!?" Ian shouted.

Smith stood up quickly, "Sit down Xavier."

Ian shook his head, "No, absolutely not. I won't allow this to continue."

He pointed to the now surprised Grand Sovereign.

"I don't care if you want to join the Federation," He said, "Goodness knows we need all the help we can get, but if you want to join, you must change."

Chi tossed the Romulan Ale he was drinking into the ground in anger.

"Excuse me!?" It shouted.

Ian didn't back down, riding on the anger he had. He knew if he let go and let reason sink in, he'd stop. Thomas Xavier would never have agreed to the Aikon joining and neither would Ian.

"Xavier!" Smith yelled, "Sit down or I will-"

The captain continued, cutting Smith off.

"You've enslaved two species!" He shouted, "You've brutalized them and twisted their religion and culture to service you. You...you...you don't even care. To you, they're not sentient. They're just...cattle to be herded and skinned and eaten. The Federation does not tolerate slavery. I don't care how desperate we are because of the Nautolian War. It isn't worth winning if we sacrfice who we are in the process. I'm SICK AND TIRED of seeing the Federation accept evil, more and more, just because we've been through hell. This must end! I can not, in good consciouns, allow this. I don't care how many ships you can destroy with your flagship. I won't sit around and smile while you do this! We're fighting against Fito because he wants to conquer, enslave and kill. We're just trading one murderous, enslaving tyrant who is our enemy for one murderous, enslaving tyran who is our friend. That is hypocritcal and WRONG!"

Smith slammed his fist on the table.

"Damn you Xavier," He said, "Get him out of here! Now!"

Lieutenant Christopher Monroe and ensign Lynn Parks, security from the Hercules, grabbed Ian roughly and motioned for him to move. Ian was about to fight Starfleet officers. He accepted and allowed them to lead him out...

DSG, Banquet Hall

Ziona had taken a seat closer to the back with her father by her side, watching as the proceedings continued as planned. Andreas had a glass of Romulan ale held gently in his hand as he turned his eyes towards the front of the banquet hall where Ian was sitting with the rest of the honored guests for this specific endevour.

The speech began, starting with Smith and moving on to Ian. The two Andreas listened intently, agreeing with what the speakers said. Andreas sat up a little straighter as the time came for the Grand Sovereign to seal the deal on the PADD. Things seemed to be going smoothly and Andreas smiled to himself as he took a sip of his Romulan ale.

However, things suddenly took a very strange turn for the worst. The Mogdaii holding the PADD suddenly dropped the PADD at its feet, obviously embarassed, as the sound of its whimper could be heard even in the back of the room where Ziona and Andreas were sitting. What happened next was apalling, even for Andreas. A nearby Orog cracked the Mogdai's neck, sending a sickening crack through the entire room as the deed was completed. Andreas gripped his glass a little tighter and Ziona turned her eyes away, stiffeling a gasp.

"My god," Andreas breathed. Just as he spoke, Ian jumped up, calling for an explanation from the Orog.

Ziona kept her eyes averted, her hand placed gently on her father's shoulder, as she listened to Ian's outburst. She didn't want to look towards the front of the room, nor did she want to know what would happen to Ian. The banter between Smith and Ian was growing heated and, after a few moments longer, Ziona got up quickly and exited the banquet hall, Andreas turning to watch as his daughter left.

But he didn't move. He remained there. For all he knew, he might be needed if chaos broke loose. A sickening feeling was beginning to gather in Andreas' throat as he suddenly realized that the new "ally" they were hoping to make was nothing more than a monster. The tide of the battle maybe wasn't going to be turning quite as easily as he had hoped.

NTran looked at the man on the screen. He half wondered if Xavier simply didnt want to speak with him. He didnt have time to think about the what ifs.
I would like permission to take 3 Warbirds and KorTaghs bird of prey through the wormhole to retrieve my officers. NTran chose his next words very carefully.
I thought I would ask permission in the interest of good relations between our peoples. Im going weather or not you grant permission. I just thought it would be better if our passage was authorized. NTran had no wish to fight with these people but he wouldnt leave any more of his officers behind. They are all he has left.
Time is of the essence.

Archer stared in shock at what just happened. Ian was right, what was happining to the federation? He stood up and moved for the door. He shook his head as he moved though the doors. He looked at the security officers and glared.

"Get your hands off him."

-Terra Nova, Thiandrus' Residence-

T'Sa studied the enterance hall in great detail. There was a lot of decoration thoughout the area, mainly on the walls. Although, the floors and ceilings had some to. She looked around for signs of anyone. Though at the moment, the place felt...empty.

~ Banquet Hall, Deep Space Guardian ~

Blake sat in his chair in disbelief for a moment as the large alien snapped the neck of the smaller one. Unfortunately Blake could do nothing about it openly due to diplomatic immunity, however, he had seen enough. He knew that going about his original orders were the right course of action.

Blake watched as Captain Xavier was led out of the room by Smith's security officers after his rant to the Grand Sovereign. Blake could not believe Smith would allow this to pass. The man was not the kind of politician that the Federation needed. Perhaps he would do something about it if the right time came. A shuttle malfunction? And airlock accident? Perhaps a quickly dissolved poison. He didn't know and wasn't sure if he would, but it pleased him to think of the possibility.

Blake sighed as Captain Archer rushed out, in all probability to stop them from arresting his well-known friend. He was sure Smith would do something about this. Blake would leave in a few moments once the commotion died down, under the guise of using the washrooms, to intercept Captain Xavier. In Xavier, he may find a willing ally...

-DSG, Ops-

Jones was taken aback by the sheer arrogance of N'Tran. He was going to go whether they approved or not? It was obvious he was under the sheer misinterpration that the wormhole was public. Since he didn't want to cause trouble, especially with the Aikons onboard, he would allow it. If Romulans were causing trouble on the other side, the station could easily destroy the wormhole, which they would not cry over since it would collapse within a month or two anyways.

"Good hunting." Jone said simply, "You're free to go."

He closed the channel, hoping captain Xavier wouldn't be angry at him for this.

-Earth, Restaurant-

The governor smiled, "It isn't a problem. My name is Ahmad Fadi Al-Firdos and these are my two aides, Sirex and Tolal. I am the governor of the Federation colony on Elerra Prime. Your name madam?"

-DSG, Corridor-

The officers continued to march Ian, while holding his arms, through the corridor. They were not fearful of Archer in the least. He couldn't pull rank since an admiral ordered them to do this.

"Get away," One said, "Or we'll have you arrested for obstruction of justice."

NTran would have thanked the man for a speedy response but hed closed the channel before he could respond.
Ditex to the RPril, Klas and the GTarkin, we have clearance. Proceed through the wormhole. He closed the channel.
Im on my way old friend, Im on my way
The 4 ships could be seen disappearing through the wormhole.

Archer narrowed his eyes. Funny, when an arrest happens, thats usually specified, not get him out of the room. Archer didn't say a word to the men, but shot Ian a look then simply stood still.

DSG, Corridor

Ziona headed down a corridor, leading away from the banquet hall. She didn't want to be anywhere near these new "allies". They were monsters, horrible, savage monsters as far as she was concerned. For some reason, seeing that innocent Mogdai killed just sent her reeling. She had seen battle, she had seen many killed in the name of Starfleet or any other faction. But it was different to see something innocent killed, just for making a mistake.

A few more turns down different corridors led her to a turbolift. She jumped in quickly and called for her quarters. She would wait in there. At the moment, she wasn't sure where Ian had been dragged off to. But at least in their quarters, she was safe. Everything was outside and she was inside... and she was away from those monsters.

DSG, Banquet Hall

Andreas remained where he sat, his arms crossed on his chest now, watching carefully as things began to unfold. He wasn't sure how Smith would react now that Xavier had been dragged out. He wasn't sure how the other members of Starfleet and the Federation were going to act now that the true nature of the Aikon's was apparent. Andreas hoped that the induction of the Aikon's would be stopped, but from the way Smith was acting, that wasn't going to be the case.

A frown creased Andreas' face as he narrowed his eyes and glanced up to the front of the room, watching Smith carefully. Andreas wasn't at all pleased.

-DSG, Corridor-

They continued to lead Xavier down the corridor, ignoring the silent Archer. Ian shared Archer's look, but was unsure if Archer was trying to say something or not, didn't make sense to him. They entered a turbolift.

-DSG, Turbolift-

"Docking port 1." Lieutenant Monroe ordered.

Ian looked at him in surprise.

"We're not going to the brig?" He asked.

The officer shook his head.

"I'm sure you'd like to be put under the care of your corrupt chief of security," He said, "You're going the Hercules' brig."

Ian rolled his eyes.

"Oh yes," He said in a dry tone, "Out of everyone, it's my chief of security that's corrupt..."

-DSG, Banquet Hall-

Things were still tense in the room. It was obvious that most of the people were rather uncomfertable. Smith hoped that it wasn't all over with the Aikon. He vowed to tear Xavier apart after this.

"Grand Sovereign," He said, "Please, accept my deepest apologies..."

Chi yelled, veering his small chair from the table.

"This is unnacceptable!" He shouted, "Put your station in order, or this treaty, will never be signed!"

He motioned towards the slaves and the Orog. They quickly followed him out of the room, as they rushed out. Smith was fuming. He knocked over a bottle of Romulan ale and rushed out...

-USS Hercules, Brig-

Ian was placed in one of the holding cells of the Prometheus class starship. The guards snickered at the sight and walked off, leaving him with only one guard for the moment. Ian slumped to the floor, placing his hands on his head.

"What have I done?" He thought to himself.

It was safe to say he would be either demoted or cashiered out of Starfleet altogether...

"Dad," He whispered, "If you can hear me...I sure can use your help right now..."

He stared upwards as if his father was somewhere above. Ian knew better then to think he would get a response, but what came next made him jump in surprise.

"He isn't listening." A voice said.

Ian looked up and saw admiral Smith, standing in front of the force field with his arms folded.

"I guess my career in Starfleet is over?" Ian asked.

Smith shook his head, not really answering that question.

"Why?" He asked, "Why'd you do it? We were so close. So close to finishing it all. Months of hard and careful negotiations. Nearly a year of fighting the Nautolians. It was about to end and you SCREWED it all up. Why?"

Ian pulled himself up from the floor and approached the edge of the cell.

"Why?" He asked, "Because I'm tired of seeing the Federation sink. It's sinking into corruption and by the looks of it, nothing is being done to pull it out. The line has to be drawn somewhere and I fear that the inclusion of the Aikon into the Federation was about to be the point of no return. I couldn't allow that..."

Smith looked at him in completel anger.

"You couldn't allow it?" He said, seething, "You arrogant piece of garbage. You are not worth that uniform. You are not to decide what is right for the Federation and what isn't. Last time I checked, you are not the Federation president. You are a no name captain that is only famous because he inherited his daddy's last name."

Ian clenched his fist, desperatly wanting to strike Smith for that last comment, but obviously, he couldn't.

"Corruption?" Smith said, "Because some idiot captain with stupid pacifict ideas wants it, the Federation will not change. The days of us catering to others outside of our borders are over. We were weak, but no more. We're not sacrificing anymore for others outside of the Federation to get things at our expense. You want to talk about corruption? Corruption is why you're in that clean uniform and not on the streets of Romulus, Bajor, Cardassian, or anywhere else the Nautolians have conquered. Corruption is why you have a warm meal from the replicator, instead of fighting for scraps of food on the streets. Corruption is why our starships are in good condition, being serviced in luxurious space stations while other ship's hulls are falling apart. Corruption is why we win."

Ian stared at the man and shook his head.

"The scary thing is...," He said slowly, "You really beleive that..."

Smith scoffed, realizing he wasn't going to get through to Xavier.

"Good day captain," He said, "I'll release when the Aikon are part of the Federation."

He turned and left the brig, leaving Ian to contemplate what he said...

~ Banquet Hall, Deep Space Guardian ~

Blake sighed as he finished the rest of his Romulan ale in one swig and set the glass down hard. He would have liked to have had some wine, too, being a wine lover but it looked like he wouldn't get a chance. Blake stood up from his seat and straightened his uniform. The room was now filled with the noise of chatter and gossip as a result of what had transpired. From what Blake heard, there were mixed reactions. Some were appaulled with what the Aikon Grand Sovereign did, and other were more concerned with losing an ally that would save them from Fito. Soon those people would be greatly disappointed.

Blake walked down the table and gave Field Marshal Andreas a look as he passed before leaving the banquet hall. Andreas was one of the few people Blake had implied his membership to Section 31 to. It wasn't a complete admittance but rather implied through the uttering of the motto. He hoped that the Field Marshal wouldn't catch on that Blake's plan was actually being set in motion by Blake and not the planned occurances and do something to stop him. Blake had not expected his presence at Deep Space Guardian.

~ Corridor, Deep Space Guardian ~

As Blake left the banquet hall, he noticed a rather disgruntled Captain Archer. It seems the man kept his wits about him and did not try anything drastic so close to the hall and close to Admiral Smith.

"Captain Archer," Blake said to the man to catch his attention, "Any idea where they may be taking the Captain? I wish to...speak with him."

Archer looked back to Blake. He studied the man for a moment, then spoke.

"You and me both..." he trailed off.

Archer looked up and down the corridor then spoke again.

"Most likely, he was taken to the Admiral's ship. Being as that is currently insde the station, I would believe that is under your jurisdiction, no?"

Archer looked up and down the hall again, to ensure no one was listining. In his mind, he was wondering what the hell was going on. Of course, it would be improper to bring it up to Blake, particuarly, if he for some reason agreed with the Admiral. Archer motioned for the man to follow.

"It would seem," he spoke, "That the...new allies are rather...abrupt..."

-DSG, Banquet Hall-

Alicia waited a moment as Blake walked out. She looked around the room, and decided she couldnt wait here. After all, her Captain was just arrested for speaking about a Murder. IF this was what Starfleet did, she didn't want to serve in it. Alicia moved though the doors and out into the corridor. She looked around and Saw Blake and another Captain...Archer she believed she heard the name as. She moved for both men quietly, trying to not disturb them, but also, not simply surprise them. She softly spoke.

"Pardon, sirs...."

From what Blake knew about Captain Archer and being that the man was a close friend of Captain Xavier, it was likely that the two shared the same sentiments on the event and therefore Archer would likely aid Blake, if needed, in releasing Captain Xavier. He followed the man as they began to walk slowly. Blake made sure that Smith and his lackeys weren't around.

"Yes it is," Blake started, "Being that the ship is docked with Deep Space Guardian, it is within my jurisdiction to enter it and claim the prisoner. And so I shall be doing. I'm sure there will be some resistance, but frankly, I don't care. I'll walk in with a security team if I have to. I doubt that will be necessary, though."

Blake suddenly turned around when he heard the soft, yet recognizable voice if Lieutenant Stone.

"Yes, Lieutenant. What can I do for you?" Blake asked her.

Archer nodded as he listened to Blake speak. He was glad that indeed, Blake could claim the 'prisoner'. Indeed, what was about to happen would be risky. Archer was about to speak when a voice sounded behind them. Archer heard Blake call her by her rank. He wondered what her name was. The woman noded to both men and spoke.

"Sir, what happened in there? Is that what we're heading for? Because if it is..."

Alicia didn't finish her sentence. She sighed softly as she looked to the men.

"I haven't been here long, maybe you don't trust me, but I know the look of men being up to something..."

Alicia blushed slightly for being so upfront.

"Count me in," she whispered.
