-Salara, Bridge-

NTran had stormed off the bridge awhile ago. Hed spouted off some choice words in the Romulan tongue which any of them barely used. Part of TRell wished he hadnt done anything at all. TRells concentration was broken when he heard a voice.

Where are theStarfleet officers that were onboard?

TRell swiveled around in the command chair.
Admiral Ditex has been relieved of Command. You work with me now and your officers are in the engine room.

-Salara, Bridge-

T'Sa followed Ian to the bridge. She heard him speak of the Starfleet officers. She looked around as she studied the faces. She two could see the tension, perhaps even feel it.

"Ian," she whispered to him carfully. "Something is...differnt."

-USS Madras, Bridge-

Archer nodded understanding what the man was saying.

"We'll...do what we can for you."

Archer looked around and frowned.

"An entire month you said?"

-Salara, Bridge-

Ian was surprised to hear that N'Tran was relieved of command. What had prompted that decesion?

"Understood." He said.

He stared down at the new commanding officer.

"Permission to collect my crew." He said.

Ian simply wanted what crew he had left to return to DSG, so they could leave...

-Salara, Bridge-

TRell stood up and approached Xavier.
First, and let me make this very clear to you. I didnt want to relieve my friend of duty. He tried very hard to show you not all Romulans are bad. Because you continually ignored him and shrugged him off like an arrogant Starfleet officer you are responsible for the contempt he will hold you in. Now get off my bridge. TRell probably hadnt helped matters any by speaking to the Captain like that. TRell had already told him the Kiris and Cory were in the engine room.

-Salara, Bridge-

Ian stared at the Romulan, not flinching one bit. His rudeness however did surprise him. He tried to be respectful, defering command because it was their ship. Ian didn't want to forcibly remove his officers who were helping, but he would now. He regreted trying to be nice and asking if he could take his crew. It probably showed weakness on his part.

"Good day." He said, then turned and walked out.

He had no clue why N'Tran was so upset with him. Quite frankly, he was surprised that there was a Romulan that was so highly emotional. Ian felt little guilt for his anger or sadness or whatever the Romulan admiral felt. He didn't go on this trip to play diplomat, but to help save N'Tran's world. Ziona's father was probably dead. Councilor Watts risked the fury of the Federation and Katran was left behind, risking his life for Romulus. Ian risked his own life, and that of us his crew, including his sick mentor, to help the Romulans. It was rather ungrateful on N'Tran's and T'Rell's part, Ian thought. He didn't care though. This wasn't about N'Tran, it never was. It was about Fito and his damn empire.

"Xavier to lieutenant Ditex and ensign Taylor," He ordered, "Report to the transporter room."

He wanted to get back on the Klingon ship, meet with Watts and Ziona, and leave the Romulan ship, once and for all.

-USS Madras, Bridge-

The commander approached a console while still speaking to Archer.

"Indeed," He said, "I'm not bitter. I just wish Starfleet allowed us to go back to a starbase. Just until repairs were done. She died because of that reason."

-USS Madras, Bridge-

Archer looked at the man. This man seemed to be a strong one. War did that to people.

"You know, if you were bitter?"

Archer walked over and nodded at the man.

"Everyone would understand."

He looked at the consol. He read the display and sighed.

"I'll call in some favors, look into the whole.... 'reason' why this was done. You don't send a fleet to the front lines, and not allow them to repair."

Archer shook his head. He looked at the Commander.

"You know, Starfleet..."

Archer shruged.

"Times have changed, Commander."

Archer sighed again.

"Worst way to get a command of your own," Archer commented.

-Salara, Corridor-

T'Sa followed Ian quietly, not knowing what to say, if she should say anything. She yawned slightly and looked around. It will be pleasent to be back on the station. She picked up her pace and moved beside Ian.

"I..."

She shrughed not knowing what to say.

(The GTarkin isnt traveling with the Salara anymore. Just thought youd like to know.)

-Salara, Engine Room-

"Xavier to lieutenant Ditex and ensign Taylor," "Report to the transporter room."

Kiris tapped his combadge.
Ensign Taylor is one his way. Im not leaving. Not yet. Kiris looked to Cory who had a look of awe on his face.
What do you mean youre not leaving? Kiris simply told the truth.
My father needs me and my mother right now. I will not abandon him for anything. Cory pulled Kiris aside.
You could lose your commission for disobeying orders. Kiris nodded.
If Captain Xavier wants to take away my commission for staying with my father in a time of need, so be it. Now get out of here. Tessa will be expecting you. Cory reluctantly left the engine room.

(Hmm...well's thats a problem since Watts and Ziona are back there. We'll just say they were beamed onboard with us.)

-Salara, Transporter Room-

Ian walked in, noticing Watts and Ziona standing there. He felt so bad for those two. They had been dragged back and forth, for no real reason. He hadn't responded to T'Sa, since she didn't really say anything. He didn't want to talk about it. He just wanted his officers to walk in, get a call from the bridge that they were at the station, and finally just go home. He had, had enough of Romulans. His chief engineer contacted him and said he wasn't leaving.

"I'm ordering you to report to the trasnporter room." Ian said, angry.

-USS Madras, Bridge-

The commander looked at Archer, not really pleased with the news.

"That's funny," He said, "Two promotions in two years..."

He looked back at the console and began looking over the ship status. Jones approached Archer.

"Captain," He said, "OPS just contacted me. The transports are ready to go."

(Ok that works.)

-Salara, Engine Room-

Kiris tapped his combadge again.
Im sorry sir but I must refuse. I have matters here that require my attention. Ill beam to DSG as soon and theyre resolved. Ditex out. Kiris plucked the combadge off his uniform and sat it on the desk. They may try to transport him off the ship. He couldnt risk it. He hoped the captain would understand. Kiris picked up a bar and smashed the combadge.

-Salara, Transporter Room-

Ian felt complete fury for Kiris' actions. His duty was to DSG first, then to the Romulan "state". The station could be attacked and the chief engineer was needed to repair and hold the station together. Without him there overseeing repairs, things just got worse. He wasn't forcibly going to remove him from the ship though. If Ian had to have made a choice between his father, Thomas, or Starfleet, he'd probably would have chosen his father as well. It didn't make Ian any less angry. His hand moved away from his combadge and he stood on the pad, preparing to beam off...

-Salara, Transporter Room-

T'Sa frowned at what the Officer was doing. Ian would no doubt, be angery. Or angier, rather. T'Sa shifted and sighed, wanting to just go home.

Many Years Ago...

T'Sa looked around as the hunters slowly surrounded her and Thomas. She snarled and hissed at them, looking for a weakling to attack. The weapons they held looked rather nasty. T'Sa hissed again, and readied her self to prounce.

-USS Madras, Bridge-

Archer nodded to Jones.

"Clear them, make way for the next group."

Archer looked to the man. He sighed and looked at him

"Commander..."

Archer looked down. Suddnely, the sound of something powering up was heard. Then the lights of the bridge activated. Archer looked up.

"That would be the station transfering power..."

-Salara, Transporter Room-

Cory entered the Transporter Room.
Captain, Please dont punish Kiris for doing this. Hes just worried about his father. He doesnt mean to be disrespectful.

-Salara, Bridge-

The Salara dropped out of warp.
Commander TRell to the transporter room. Weve dropped out of warp. You can transport back to your station at your leisure.

-Salara, Transporter Room-

Ian stared at Cory who walked in and spoke in defense of his friend. It reminded Ian of his friendship with Archer. The captain of the Hippocratic Oath gained fame for going against three Jem'Hadar to rescue the crews of down Federation freighters during the Dominion war. Starfleet brass couldn't see past his bravery and admonished him for risking his crew's life. Ian recalled rushing to Archer's defense, knowing he would never have willingly put his crew in danger if he didn't have a plan. Ian slowly nodded his head to Cory.

"Well then," He said, "As the Bajorans would say-May the Prophets be with him."

If this ship was going back to Romulan space, they would need all the help they could get...

Ian looked at the transporter chief and nodded.

"Energize." He said.

All of them beamed back to DSG...two less officers then they began with...

-Vega System, Space-

If an outsider were to warp into the Vega system, they would assume a mass exodus was occuring. Transports, packed with civilians slowly followed after two Federation starships, also filled with civilians, out of space dock. They slowly formed a long line, leading away from DSG and preparing for warp. At the same time, dozens, upon dozens of shuttles flew from Elerra Prime, carrying all of the colonists, evacuated under the order of captain Archer. They quickly joined the fleet of evacuating ships. On the other side of the planet, a fleet of Romulan ships, carrying the Romulan refugees, flew into space but did not join the Federation convoy. Immediatly, they jumped to warp. They were destined for something else...

-Lead Shuttle, Aft Compartment-

A man, dressed in fancy civilian clothing, led an elderly man towards a seat.

"Governor," He said, "Please, sit down."

Governor Al-Firdos shook his head and made his way to the cockpit. He had to see it for himself. His hands clutched the flowing robes he wore as he walked. Al-Firdos stepped onto the cockpit and stared out the view port.

"My goodness," He said, "So many ships..."

He felt a pang of sadness, seeing so many leave DSG behind. A prayer escaped his throat, hoping that one day he would return...

"Good-bye." He said to Elerra Prime.

-USS Madras, Bridge-

The commander nodded, as the power was transfered to the ship. With a depressed sigh, he began to walk away.

"I'm going to DSG," He said, "I have a cracked rib...if you'll excuse me..."

He couldn't bear to look at the bridge anymore...

-IRW Tomolax, Bridge-

A subcommander approached the quiet Donatra. Admiral Donatra had rallied the Romulan refugees once more and led them from Elerra Prime. The Federation, corrupt to it's core, demanded no more Romulans in the Vega system. Donatra, after chaotic events, called her people so they could move on somewhere else. She hadn't told anyone where it was they were going. The events of the invasion of their homeworld was known to them and several Romulans wanted to return to fight. At first, Donatra refused, citing that it was time for them to get away and make a new Romulan state. They could start over and no longer be part of a Romulus that had Sela's power hungry hands wrapped around it.

"Admiral," The subcommander said, "You haven't said a word since we've boarded. Where are we going?"

Donatra looked over at her new first officer. Originally, Loval had been, but he had gone insane and is now rotting in DSG's brig.

"To the fleet resistance." She said.

Her first officer looked at her in confusion.

"To what?" He asked.

She had realized that when she started this exodus of her people, she had made them all a promise. A promise that they would one day be able to return to Romulus. Making a new state wasn't the answer. Saving the old one was.

"Onscreen." She ordered an officer.

She had spoken to the helmsman on where they were to go. While she was hated by the Tal Shiar, she still had some friends on Romulus and they told her the desperate situation. The screen changed to show what she wanted.

A hidden Romulan fleet, converging and preparing to assault the Nautolian forces. They were close to DSG, only a few hours away. She would join with them, including the many ships and officers she had under her command and fight for her world.

"Send them a message." She ordered.

The subcommander nodded, "What message admiral?"

She smiled, "Permission to join the fleet?"

-Imperial Star, Bridge-

"Status report?" Grand Admiral Surak demanded.

His loyal captain rushed to his side and read off of a Nautolian PADD.

"The resistance on Remus was hard, but defeated," He reported, "In a matter of hours, full control of Remus is ours."

Surak nodded, "So there is no chance for them to interefere on an assault on Romulus?"

The captain shook his head, "Not according to General Koon."

Surak smiled and walked towards the edge of the bridge, his head tails swaying.

"The Cardassians?" He asked.

"They've already been contacted and Gul Oyet is leading the fleet." He reported.

Surak nodded once more, taking everything in.

"Then by all means," He said, "Order the fleet...to plot a course to Romulus...."

The captain bowed, "It will be done."

-IRW Xoril, Bridge-

Subcommander Metrix was leading what was left of the Romulan task force. They had managed to hurt the Nautoliand, BADLY, but it was not enough. For every one ship they destroyed, more were waiting. Fito planned this perfectly. He didn't beat the Romulans with power, but with numbers.

"We still have a chance." He said to the others.

An officer shook his head and looked back at him.

"No sir," He said, "I don't think so..."

Metrix stared at him, wondering what he was talking about.

"Why is that?" He asked.

The officer pointed to his console.

"Because I'm detecting nearly 50 Cardassian ships dropping out of warp..." He reported.

Metrix realized right then that it was over. The task force was low on numbers as it is and the Nautolians just gained a huge boost.

"Signal the task force," He said, "Fall back."

"But Romulus-" An officer said.

"I SAID FALL BACK!!!" He demanded.

The message was sent and the remaining Romulan ships quickly turned and fled, leaving the Hawk alone amidst the enemy ships. Metrix watched as the Cardassian fleet quickly joined the Nautolians. All of them made their way towards Romulus...
