What do you think?
They were like the Vorta. Females were breeded out. No purpose for soldiers.

I noticed in a DS9 episode, Dax said that a Jem'Hadar told her there are no female Jem'Hadar. If that is the case, how did they reproduce before the Dominion?

Were the Jem'Hadar MADE by the Dominion or did they manipulate their gene pool like they did with the Vorta, until no females were left?

It sounds like they were created, what with all the changes. Although, they couldl have been around BEFOER the genetic changes...

Yeah, but which one?

Were they some primitive, but strong species before the Founders discovered them or did they literally build the perfect soldier?

Perhaps build the perfect soldier. I think so, anyways.

Although, it's verry possible they were like the Vorta. Weak, primitive, and some or one, did something to a Founder, and the race was repaid by what the Jem'Hadar are now.

If they were like the Vorta, where are the females? Were they genetically bred out from the gene pool or do Jem'Hadar males have the ability to give birth?

I don't know... Perhaps, there is no real "gender" to speak of, or at one point, there wasn't, I mean. A lot of questions. Maybe they were 'phased' out. Which would be weird...

It looks like they had to be created cause if no female then how could they exist? Just seem odd though. Maybe a experiment went wrong or maybe made for that purpose of the Dominion?

I never liked the Jem' Hadar.

as far as I know, JemHadar were genetically grown by the Dominion (like the clonetroopers in SW) and only take something like a a week or two or some ridiculously small amount of time to fully mature from embryo to trainable warrior

Why?

They are, with all respect to the Klingons, the most efficient and powerful warriors known to date.

Memory Alpha uses only canon information. In the rare instance that they don't, they will say so.

Right, thanks
The book 'Heart of the Warrior' deals with a retrovirus that will turn the Jem'Hadar back to their 'original, nonviolent selves before the Dominion altered them'

I thought the Jem'Hadar didnt have an "original, nonviolent self" - and they werent altered, they were genetically engineered warriors, grown in test tubes - never having existed as a race until the Dominion created them....it was the Vorta who were altered by the Changelings

That's the question of the topic.

There is definitly an implication that they were simply made by the Changelings to be the perfect soldier.
