This is disgusting. What is wrong with people? Why do so many people feel the need to run into a school, kill innocent people and then themselves? Does it give them satisfaction to know they're ending a life so early with no justification?
My sentiments go out to the families of those who lost their lives.

What is with all the school carnage in the past few weeks? Did I miss a memo? Absolutely sick. And this was at an elementary school, too...

All the more horrifying.
I heard about this at school. My God. What is this world coming to?

We're now at the age that schools will put more money into metal detectors then in books. Sick evil b*****d that did this. My condolensces to their families.

The news media doesn't help much. I realize that they won't stop publishing these stories, and we can't expect them to, but the people who commit these atrocities are likely fueled by the news coverage they know they'll receive afterwards. This is a very sad situation indeed, and there's not much anyone can do if someone has a death wish. I'm glad I'm out of school now.

The scariest part is what the guy planned on doing to the girls.

Well it is beyond belief. Why. Just why. What else do you say all the sorrow has been said time and time again with the other shootings. Is it just an unexplainable fact of life, with no sense at all to why murderers choose children.

Well, I imagine it wouldn't be hard. I hear they've got a right to them, after all.
But yes, such things are tragic, especially so close together. Our flag at school has been flying at half-mast all week (I'm not positive it is because of the shootings, but that seems the most likely cause).

People should be able to look at someone and get him/her therapy before something happens. Still this is one of the worst things that can happen.

Sad development here...
Quote: | Amish Shooting Victim Begged to Be Shot First to Save Others
GEORGETOWN, Pa. Under a cold, steady drizzle, the Amish drove in horse and buggy to a farmland cemetery Friday to bury the fifth of five girls shot to death by an intruder as new details emerged of heroism inside their schoolhouse.

Yeah, we don't, and that's sad. The Amish are quite different, though, obviously, but regardless, for this thirteen-year-old girl to try to do this was a great thing. I think I would have done the same thing, were I with little kids, but that obviously can't be said for certain.

I agree. I read that he brought zip ties, chains and lube with him. What a sicko.
It's amazing that so many of the Amish forgive him.

Not many. They've all forgiven him. And yes, that is amazing, but it's there way, a way which it seems we all have abandoned.
