This show was on NBC tonight (encore tomorrow) and I didnt watch it because it didnt look good. It was about people who find that they have extraordinary powers and their stories and whatnot. Everyone who saw it has been raving about it. Any thoughts out there? Should I tune in tomorrow and catch the encore?

It was probably the best pilot episode I have ever seen! So far, of the six fledgling superheroes introduced so far, Hiro, the Japanese guy with teleporting powers is my favorite. The special effects were amazing and I cant believe how much blood and gore theyre allowed TV now, its come a long way in the last six years. I cant wait till next weeks episode!

I was going to watch it today, but then "House" was on instead, which is a very good show. Anyways, I keep hearing good things so I will tune in next week.

I watched it. It seemed a little unusual. I won't say good or bad yet. I'm interested in seeing more before I think of it as either good or bad.

I agree, awesome first episode. I also couldn't believe the gore. Also couldn't believe NBC showed a scantily clad webcam girl doing her thing. I think anyone who like Star Trek would probably enjoy this kinda of show (there's even some Star Trek/Spock dialogue with the Japanese characters).

I was not able to watch the first episode so now I'm kind of disappointed that I missed it. I watched the 2nd episode tonight and thought it was pretty good. It's kind of hard to follow since they're all individual stories so far it seems. I like Japanese guy too.
It was so cute and funny the way he yells, "Yataa!" in New York when he teleported there. Interesting ending too. I was also surprised by how much violence and gore they showed on the show and what is now being shown on TV. We have come a long way in what we allow to be shown now. But I liked the 2nd episode so far so I'll have to watch it next week. I liked the Star Trek references made by the Japanese guy too. I'll have to try and catch the first episode in a rerun at some point or see if it's available on itunes or something.

If you miss the new episodes of Heroes on Monday you can always catch the encore presentations Fridays on Sci-Fi.
The second episode was good. I like the fact that Hiro can also time travel, he accidentally went from the beginning of October (the episodes airdate) to November 8th and saw the destruction of New York by a nuclear weapon. The part where Pete the flying nurse stepped off the guardrail and didnt fall until he looked down (cartoon style) was also pretty fun. I dont understand why one of the heroes had to have a father who turned out to be the shows first serial killer super-villain.
The gore of this episode was R rated material for sure. Can you say SE7EN?

Heroes is great! I just saw the latest episode with George Takei guest starring as Hiro's father. Check out the licence plate on his limo (takei's) it's reads: "NCC -1701"
I TiVoed it and as Hiro's sister walks to the other side of the limo, I was like..No they didnt!

Yeah...I still didn't get around to watching one, but it doesn't seem like my kind of show. I am quite picky these days.

I need to catch up, lol. I've sadly missed several episodes at the end of season one.
