Do you really think J'way, with all those principles, would have blatantly smashed the Prime Directive by bringing on those telepaths in Counterpoint?

The species was Warp Capable...just incapable of getting to their wormhole....So there's no violation there...
Now, for all we know she had picked up those telepaths BEFORE entering Devore Space...then upon getting to Devore space they had those laws...so what did you expect her to do? Just give up and say "screw you" to the Telepaths she already promised to help?
Not to mention, even if she didn't have those telepaths...she still had Tuvok and Vorik. They're telepathic...would it have been wrong to put them in the transporter buffer and call them dead? Or should she have still let them suffer to the Devore because they were her crew?

I don't think she did anything wrong. She snuck fugitives across enemy space, but weren't they the ones who told her about the wormhole? I think that would imply that they're a warp capable race.
Also, as Voyager2004 said, she had Tuvok and Vorik on board. If she's going to be sneaking them around, why not take on a few extras? Besides, I think she was in a mood to piss off the Devore since they kept "inspecting" her ship

I know they're warpcapable- its about interfering with other governments. Remember Ensign Ro, and how the Fed. refused to interfere with affairs between Cardasssians and Bajorans.

Captain's are also allowed to make a decision on that. Being promised a trip to the wormhole? It was a neccesary risk.
