-Salara, Quarters-

Ian took a few steps in to see Ziona exausted on a chair. He looked around the rather small, cramped room.

"The Romulans must reserve luxury for the senators and the empress." He muttered.

He looked around the room, searching for something of interest.

"What happened?" He asked, "Did we get the Ferengi suite?"

Ian squatted next to her.

"You ok?" He asked.

Salara, Quarters

Ziona nodded to him and glanced around the quarters too.

"They're a little cramped but I don't think I'm going to be up much longer." She smiled at him. "We both need rest."

She got up from her spot on the chair and pulled her colored shirt off, wincing slightly as the fabric brushed her side. However, she felt better without the extra layer on.

--Salara, Corridor--
Watts bowed his head kindly and followed her out, succeeded by Katran and T'Sa. There was one thing that he would make clear if necessary: the other two officers were not to take part in the deliberations. Not at all.

--Hawk, Cockpit--
"What is our ETA to Romulus, Lieutenant?" Brenn Tantor, currently team Commanding Officer, inquired to 2nd Lieutenant Josh Johnson, ship pilot.
"Less than 30 minutes, sir," Johnson replied.
"Very good," Tantor remarked. "Brian, activate stealth mode," he shouted, calling back to Brian Johnson, team tech officer.
"Aye," came the reply, and the ship descended into complete stealth mode.

-Salara, Ward Room-

TRell entered the room and sat next to NTran.
How many are onboard? NTran smiled. TRell was always a little paranoid.
Seven my friend. They wont be any trouble.

-Salara, Corridor-

Laura stopped by the door to the Ward Room. She motioned for Kiris and Cory to come forward. They walked forward.
Meet me in the cargo bay in a few minutes. C Deck Section 8. They nodded and left.
Right this way. Laura said as she pressed the button to open the door.

T'Sa entered the room and stood off to the side politely. She took another deep breath and waited for anyone else to sit down. She looked around the room, familiar with the lay out of a Warbird already; she had been in a room, much similar to this one, several times. She sighed quietly. The safety, and comfort of DSG, was sounding better as more, and more time went on.

Councilor Watts and Major Katran entered the room just prior to T'Sa. Watts, upon entry, introduced himself.
"I am Councilor James Watts, representative of Earth to the Federation Council." He then looked to Kyle. "This is Major Kyle Katran, a member of a special branch of Federation service," he didn't want to go into greater detail. "And last," he said, looking towards T'Sa, "is Federation Captain T'Sa."
He then eyed the Romulans with curiousity as to what their response would be.

We are aware of who you are. TRell said distastefully.
Thatll do commander. NTran replied sternly.

Youll have to excuse Commander TRell. He doesnt share my thoughts when it comes to being friendly. Please, have a seat and we can get down to business.

Ian zipped off his over black jacket and tossed it on the chair. His black and grey vest covered his red undershirt. He looked back at Ziona and sighed, knowing she went through a lot. Apparently she had taken the Guardian somewhere and even gained Nautolian prisoners.

"How was command?" He asked.

T'Sa continued to Stand, close enough to hear and speek, but far enough so she wasn't going to be touched by anyone, or be near anyone. T'Sa watched with avid interest. as typical, Romulans had an...additude was the word? Indeed, she was used to this by now.

Ziona turned to look at Ian as she sat down, her back against a nearby wall, sitting indian style of the floor. She shrugged quickly.

"It was... well, it went fine until we ran into Borg... and then Vaadwaur. It was... interesting." She cracked her neck, then her knuckles then her back. "I don't know how you do it. I'm much better suited for tactical. I mean, I can handle it but I guess it takes practice." She smiled faintly at him.

Neither Watts nor Katran reacted to T'Rell's remarks. They just each took their respective seats and observed their surroundings. Finally Councilor Watts spoke.
"The reason we are here, Admiral," he began, "is because we have reason to believe that Romulus will face an all-out assault from the Nautolians at any time now. This information--that is, the gravity of this situation--has been validated by Major Katran. Unfortunately, for reasons I do not quite understand, both the Council and Starfleet Command were reluctant to contact Romulus themselves and notify your government of the grave, looming threat posed by the Nautolians--one far more serious than anyone had ever anticipated. At the urgings of Major Katran I have taken it upon myself to initiate this dialogue with your people, for it is urgent that such a course of action be undertaken."

Ian chuckled, "Hey, you never know. One of these days, you may gain a command of your own. I won't lie...four pips is a hard life. Especially if you're dating one of your officers..."

He smiled slyly at her and sat down next to her.

T'Sa listend closely to the councilman. She took in every detail and analyzed the outcome. INvasion. Most likely, invason would happen. Would they be there and see it? or be to late? That was the question, that would remain.

Ziona laughed at this and looked down at her hands, twisting her fingers together into a rather complex ball in front of her. She glanced over at Ian, then glanced down again.

"Maybe." She spoke finally. "Maybe someday I'll have command." She sighed heavily, a happy sigh but a sigh full of various emotions ranging from happiness to melancholy reminiscence. There was a silence between the two. "Are we in danger?" She finally asked. "I mean, being here. Being on this mission or whatever you want to call it. Are we in danger?" She glanced over at him.

NTran listened as the Councilor spoke. NTran too found it odd that Starfleet wouldnt contact his home on their own. There was a crackle from the com.

Bridge To Admiral Ditex, were close to the Romulan System. NTran pushed a button on the desk.

Acknoledged. He lifted his finger off the button.

Speak of the devil councilor. Are you planning to transport to the surface or contact them from orbit?

Ian didn't immediatly answer her. A part of him felt guilty for bringing her along, but he let his personal feelings override his command judgement. This was why he was told not to pursue relationships with officers under his command. He already conveyed his feelings for her. One day, he hopes to have more solitude with her, but there never was a chance it seemed.

"Yes," He said, not lying to her, "There is potential for danger."

Ziona tilted her head back, resting it against the wall and sighing heavily. She had a faint smile on her lips though.

"Danger seems to follow us, Ian." She finally spoke. "But I don't think I'd have it any other way. A life without danger and adventure doesn't seem worth it to me." She looked over at him. "Don't you agree?" She watched him with her piercing eyes for a few moments, waiting for his reply.

Ian nodded, while staring at the carpeted floor.

"I guess thats why we joined Starfleet," He said, "Then again...didn't you join to get away from the field marshall?"

Ziona laughed at this.

"I joined Starfleet for many reasons. Only one of which was escaping my dad." She sighed heavily at that thought. "I guess... I felt I could do more with Starfleet. I felt it was just... a better place to be. Sometimes I wonder if I've made the wrong decision though." She looked at Ian. "My father seems to be doing so many good things, as the Councilor mentioned before we left. I... I just wonder if maybe my decision was wrong." She ran her hands up and down against the carpet on the floor.

"I would think that meeting them in person would be ideal," Watts replied, looking over at Katran, hinting that he should speak.
"Oh? Yes, uh, I agree," Kyle replied. "Indeed I do think a personal meeting is warranted. That way the critical nature of this situation can be fully understood." He sighed. "The situation is critical Admiral. I was carrying out an assignment with a number of officers," he was careful not to acknowledge the existence of Special Forces, "and we were taken prisoner by the Nautolians on a Nautolian listening post near the far edges of the Vega System, where Deep Space Guardian is centered. There we encountered two Romulans, a Romulan sub-commander and a Romulan lieutenant, who were also taken prisoner.
"They had been ordered on an expedition to examine the region, where they detected a potential Nautolian presence there. They were right. There they discovered plans for this invasion--plans of which I was briefly told."
He paused for a second, then continued. "They were to attack within the next two weeks or so after my assignment, and since then I have been urging Starfleet and the Federation Council to notify your government of this threat. If your people don't arm quick enough, you'll be in trouble, hence why we are here."
"We realize," Watts added, "that it is critical for the Romulans to be notified of this for not only our own personal security, which was an honest factor in it, but for the security of allies as well. We know full well what the Nautolians will do if your people are overcome by the bloodthirsty Nautolians, and I'm sure you do too."

Ian looked at her, surprised at her saying this. She had told him once she chose DSG because it was so far from Federation space. Far from anyone else.

"Why do you say that?" He asked.

Salara, Quarters

Ziona sighed heavily. She glanced over at Ian.

"I don't know why I'm talking like this." She finally spoke, shaking her head. "I must be exhausted. I don't know what I'm saying, don't listen to me. Just ignore it." She got up from her spot next to him and paced over to the other side of the room, despite the small size of the room.

She hugged her arms to her chest, feeling suddenly very vunerable and silly for talking about such things like that. It was nonsense. Yes. She was tired. It must be because she was tired. There wasn't any other reason. A deep breath was all she could manage before she turned to look at Ian again. She suddenly felt distant... not because she wanted to be but because something was there, holding her back.

TRell sensed the one called Katran was hiding something. He reached out with his mind, attempting to probe the mans thoughts. It was difficult with so many minds around the room.

NTran continued to listen. He understood the urgency of this matter. Though he had no desire to understand the politics of it.

I will join you when we get to Romulus. I have a the attention of a few officials yet. I know some will not be happy to us. NTran said referring to Sela.

"Bridge to Ward Room. We've arrived in the Romulan system."

((Don't worry RM. T'Rell won't get a chance to read your mind.))

T'Sa sighed to her self. Apparently, she was not needed after all. Deciding to find something else to do, knowing her way around, T'Sa turned and simply left the room. She moved though the corridors, eventually arriving where Ian and Ziona were located. She stared at the doorchime for a moment, debating, but decided not to disturb the,m. It was clear, they needed a moment for a privte converstation. She looked around, and didn't know where else to go. Simply, T'Sa moved back againts the wall and sat down, and crossed her legs, and closed her eyes to mediate. Not exactly, private, but the most comfortible location, for the moment.

It was odd that Ziona was questioning herself like that. She was not arrogant but she was sure of herself. At least, from what Ian could tell.

"Ziona," He said, "What's wrong."

He stood up, but stayed on the other side, allowing her to pace.

"I'm asking as Ian," He said, "Not your captain."
