Quote: | Missing Children Found Dead as Woman Charged With Killing Mother
EAST ST. LOUIS, Ill. Three missing children whose mother and unborn child were allegedly killed by a friend were found dead on Saturday, East St. Louis police said.

I was only slightly following this story, but this is just horrifying, it really is. Three kids, dead? Could you imagine what they experience, seeing their siblings die right in front of them? Imagine being the last of the three? How horrifying.

I am generally against capital punishment, but stories like this make me wonder if i'm right in that belief.

Definitely. The perpetrator of this atrocity should get the death penalty, no doubt about it, IMO.

^^Capital Punishment is never a right option it just brings you down to the killers level, no one derseves to be put to death by another no matter what their crime. That being said this is jut terrible, i mean sersouly i can just never grasp how some one can kill kids.

I couldn't disagree more. There are some obvious scenerios in which the death penalty is warranted. This is one of those scenerios.

Personally, when it comes to punishment for something like this, I think it's much worse for the person to live their life in prison than to get death. I mean, I think it's harder for someone to live the rest of their days thinking about why they're in prison than getting a painless death.
That's just my opinion.

Getting to work out, watch TV, and so forth is a lot better than to be killed. If we put the perpitrator in a Supermax prison, however, I would be fine with it, but I think a slow, painful death is warranted in this case.

Personally, if I went and slaughtered a ton of people, I'd think it much worse to suffer for years on end then deal with maybe, what, five or ten minutes of searing pain. And really, from what I've heard from the Sheriff of my county, the death penalty can't be cruel and unusual so it's really not that painful.

They either do not deserve to live or do not deserve to have any kind of nice time at all. In other words, they deserve hard labor sentences or sentences at the Supermax prison here in Colorado.

I'm cool with that statement, RM. I agree with you that if they don't get death they should be in solitary confinement or something to that extreme.

That only works if the person has a conscious.

Indeed. And it's hard to believe that someone who would brutally kill a woman and her unborn child and her three children, all while claiming to be a "friend," would have a conscience.

Apparently the kids drowned. What a sad, sad way to die.
