This thread is similiar to the more TNG crew cameos in the first episode of DS9. Although it only pertains to only two charecters. Sisko and Janeway. Wouldn't it have been nice for the two to meet? I know ya'll are probably thinking "Not really...Whats your point?" Look at the other shows. They had Kirk and Picard meet. Picard met with Sisko. I assumed the same would be done for VOY. It isn't a big deal. I was just wondering if anyone would have liked the exchange between the two. Nothing long ,just something while they were docked in "Caretaker".

I only suggested it because it seemed like a "pass the torch" type thing.

Not what I meant at all. I mean when Picard met Sisko. I think showing a captain with the previous one overshadows the new one, and makes them seem like a lesser captain, until they establish themself. Dont think its good writing.

Yes. I didnt like Kirk/Sisko either. I dont think it is good writing, I think its lazy writing. But I suppose people like to see familiar faces too...

I think it would be nice if Janeway and Sisko got to battle side by side and they both kick aliens butt. They both are great Captains.

You...can't be serious.... Sisko would OWN Janeway.
It would have been cool for the two to meet, I think. I dont see it as lazy writting, it's supposed to be the same universe/year/galaxy etc.....

Then you've never seen the first episode of Voyager. Which had Voyager, if I'm not mistaken, beginning the mission at DS9.

How are they different and what does that have to do with anything?
I didn't want a full episode. I meant something like Picards cameo on DS9's first episode.

Yeah, I don't think it would have been too out of place for Janeway to stop by Ops on her way to Voyager. They most likely did meet, just not on screen. It's unlikely that a captain would have her ship docked at a spacestation without meeting the commander of that station...I think.

What are you talking about? DS9 acted like any other starbase and the only character we saw was Quark? That made 0 sense.
VOY acted like any starship and the only character we saw was NEelix.
