PostFri Sep 22, 2006 2:20 am    Shark on CBS

So who here watched Shark tonight after CSI? The show that stars James Woods and Jeri Ryan? I thought it was a pretty good pilot episode. The next episode looks even better. I saw a lot of previews for the pilot's episode so I felt as if I already watched a lot of the good scenes.

I know that James Woods is the main star, you know, the "Shark," and Jeri Ryan is more like the co-star, but I hope they show more of a stronger role with her character as the D.A. Otherwise, Jeri holds her own really well with James Woods from what I saw. Should be some interesting on screen chemistry.

I saw it last night and loved it. I believe she will hold her own. Like to see her and James Woods act together.

Is this show going to be shown over in the UK in the relatively near future? I'm a big Jeri Ryan fan and I'm glad that she landed a regular role on another major TV series. And to add to the good news Shark seems to be getting mostly positive reviews, decent audience approval and solid ratings. Jeri Ryan also seems to be liked by most critics and I could only see one genuinely bad review for her where the critic described her as "monotonous" and "dull", but even then the critic said she was well suited to the role of an aloof District Attorney.

But sadly the Neanderthals over at CHUD.com stated that Jeri should "get her act together" and then widely described her as "pretty annoying". One lonely creature even said that Jeri Ryan "can't act and must be &*@%ing the right people to show up in TV shows".

Why are some people *still* vainly attacking Jeri Ryan, even though she showed what a talented performer she was many years ago and won herself a decent role on a hit TV series?

Why are you keep saying people are attacking Jeri? Noone is attacking her that I can see.

I think Za Za Zoom means why are some of the TV critics attacking Jeri so much. Like being harsh. I personally think Jeri Ryan is a great actress and has gotten better as the years have gone by.

I heard that Shark has already been picked up by Channel 5 over here in the UK, but sadly its so far slated to be shown on one of it's digital channels in October and not on Channel 5 itself (although Shark could later be shown on Channel 5 same time next year).
