I abhor the episode where Lwaxanna Troi gave that ear massage (damn it, what's it called?! ) to the Ferengi and other stuff.

The epi I consider the absolute worst is where one of Riker's innumerable affairs gives him a gaming device that makes people addicted and soon all the ship gets infceted, except for Wes who - once again the American stereotype of the ingenious kid that saves mankind - saves the Enterprise. |
Oh yes, that's "The Game". I don't think it was the worst TNG ever. Agreed, it wasn't the best but sadly, I've seen worse...

What is that? It sounds like a Star Trek movie. The one were an alien comes out of Chekov's ear. But a TNG episode? Can someone else guess this episode?

Like someone said earlier, the only new footage was of Riker lying on a bed in sickbay, where he was having flashbacks.
Other than that one I dislike all episodes involving Wesley, especially "The Game".

I agree with Untitled.
My least favorite TNG ep. would have to be Encounter at Farpoint.
Encounter at Farpoint was so...bland. I don't know how TNG got picked up with such a boring pilot. I'm glad that it did, though! The following episode (The Naked Now) was great!

- Bland and very overdramatic. Not to mention Chessy. I can understand the interesting idea of Riker and Troi before TNG, but the way it was done in the first episode was so completely -BAD! They were so stiff - "Yes it is me your Imzadi" - THis is love were talking about not some robotic encounter.
And of course you can't forget Q, besides the introduction to the greatest ST series - also was Q, one of the most memorable...creatures ever encountered in ST. Hell he's got his own DVD collection!
I do think though...that TNG & SVU are the only two shows that I can think of that started off bad but progessed and grew into the best series of their franchises!

It happened in the Wrath of Khan as well. When Chekov and someone else (I can't remember who dammit!) got those worms put in their ears and then they were being controlled. But back on topic, I didn't like much episodes from the first season because they were so 80's like. I think that's why I got kind of bored with the original Star Trek. But I actually like Encounter at Farpoint. The whole part with Q was very interesting. Though you can definitely tell how old it is when you watch it now.

There was one episode where Riker was having hallucinations based around a part in a play that Beverly was directing...I actually liked that episode very much, but as for my vote of worst TNG?
I'd really like to have a do-over of much of the entire first season of TNG, employing the Season 4 ENTERPRISE writing staff (with the exception of that last ENT episode)

You know, I think this is one of the better episodes...which is saying a lot.

I thought you might have meant this episode.
There was also a Voyager episode, this one, that is somewhat similar. All of them are not so good.
So, the worst episodes of TNG (can't choose just one), are the following:
Time Squared,
Legacy,
Hero Worship,
Lessons,
and most of the episodes with Ensign Ro
