I am looking for a Voyager complete series DVD Set. I have looked on EBay and am cofused about the myriad of choices: The most expensive are the US released new sets, followed by the same in used.
I see many Asian imports claiming to be official licensed releases, but have heard many bad things about them. (are they low quality MPEGs?) Also, some sets are 60 DVDs, while others are 49 or 47. What is going on there?
Is there a difference between the US releases and region neutral Asian ones?
what about full screen vs wide screen?, 5.1 digital audio?, subtitles? HELP!!

I had the same confusion as you when I started with E-Bay. I was actually tricked into buying Imports of Seasons 1&2. One of the sets only has one or two playable discs. The other one is OK... but tends to stick a lot. I guess considernig I only paid about $20 for each of them it's not so bad... but they are certainly a lower quality. My advice is to save up and buy the real ones.

I wouldn't lose any sleep over it (maybe from watching all them DVDs ). In Dutch law however you can make a copy of a friends DVD and it would still be legal. But maybe from a yankee perspective it is, I dunno.

Ebay: If you see Voyager for like 150 for all seasons...don't get it. It's a scam.
If you have Spike wait til it comes on there. Or do what I did...I would buy the seasons, one at a time. I know the price is insane...but it is better than being scamed by someone on ebay - which is what happened to me. I didn't want to buy it in stores because the insane prices, but I got scamed on ebay, and went the way of the more expensive more direct approach.
