I don't really watch the show mainly cause of characters, it does help. But I love the cases. And I disagree, the show will go on if Petersen goes. And if it don't it don't. But, I am sure it will. I mean the show shouldn't evolve around Petersen even though he is an awesome actor. There are other great actors on the show to help it along. Can't expect Petersen to stay on the show forever. He wants to go back to his love of theather.

- true, I don't expect it to follow L&O. They don't have the same cast they did when the started. The oldest cast member is Epatha Merkerson.
That is if you don't count Dann Florek or Chris Noth, who've been resurected in the other series.

Hey Leo Wyatt, or anyother CSI fans that might know...does anyone know what happened to graveshiftcsi.com? I've been trying to get on to CSI in Las Vegas forum but I can't sign in for some reason.

I guess I done put my foot in my mouth ... I said I would never watch CSI: Miami... I like it. But, Las vegas still better maybe. I just so sick of the GSR thing... Gross... Grissom and Sara Romance. You know if they want to get into a love thing, William Petersen and Jorja Fox can always go to a soap opera.. There's always All My children or As the world turns.. lol Don't want to see a CSI Soap opera...
Well anyway I watch it cause of Nick basically

- Well I know it's going to be continuted in the next season. But they said it wouldn't become a Soap even though I have a feeling another couple on that show will probably get together. So why bother calling it a Crime drama anymore?

Lol I know .. It is nice to see some romance between characters but not when it is going to turn into a soap opera. I don't want to see that kind of drama. I just hope it don't get too mooshy.

Heres an interesting story:
Quote: | Body washes up on CSI: Miami set
The set of CSI: Miami became a real-life police investigation scene when a body washed up during filming.
An off-duty police officer working on the set was alerted to a body floating in Bicentennial Park.

What happened to the police department in the cities were the CSI shows take place?
It seems like the forensics department does all the work.

- Well...if it were just forensic's work the show wouldn't be very thrilling or as interesting as it is. That's why I always say, that the show isn't very realistic because what CSI is going to go out and interagate a suspect?
Also did you know that people have actually gone into the field of forensics and thought that they would be interogating suspects!?

Anybody see the season premire of CSI?
I thought it was a good episode...not a great episode and nothing special (except the last ten minutes of it.) I hope the action is in the second part. I also hope it's nothing like "Way to Go" It was also beautifully shot.

Yeah, I have to agree that the last ten minutes were the best part of the whole episode. Although I did like the way they snuck in the Grissom/Sara storyline without making it into a big deal.

Actually, they (the CSIs) don't arrest people on the show.

- Yeah your right they don't.
WeAz wrote: | It just seems like it does... |
- I think where you getting is that they tend to stick closesly to a suspect...follow Brass or another cop when they make an arrest of their suspect and their always in the interigation room.
But I do partically agree with the comic and disagree. The job of a CSI on the show is blown out of proportion. In the show are they are CSI's + Cops without arresting the suspects. They carry guns (in "No Humans Involved" Nicky hadn't done his quals for his gun, so he couldn't go out into the field and collect evidence.) What is a CSI going to use a gun for? By the time their called to the scene it's secured by the cops and the suspect is long gone...except for those extermely rare cases. Also why would they go with a cop to arrest a suspect...? They'd be a liability, and the suspect could easily grab one of them hostiage. In "No Humans Involved" one of the CSI's runs off after the suspect to collect evidence, and Grissom basically says to her that their CSI's they don't chase after the suspects, they collect the evidence. They also collect evidence on suspects but I would say that's the extent of the contact between a CSI and suspect.

It is just a show. It wasn't meant to be like in the real world. I think the creators knew that. Plus, I got to remember not to get mad at certaun little things in the Las Vegas one... But, I won't repeat what everybody knows lol... Just a show.
But, yeah CSI only suppose to collect evidence. I think the Miami one is a little different from the Las Vegas one though I think?

- Yes that's true it is only just a show. However there are people out their that think that the show is much more realstic than it is. Their have been people who have gone into forensics thinking they'll interogate suspects. I'm not making that up, either.

- I think when Miami came out they tried to correct more of their mistakes.

I know the las vegas one can't arrest anyone they just collect. reason it is not realistic as Miami and New York. Cause they are the cops doing the forencis work. I know I am putting my foot in my mouth by saying I love Miami and New York after saying I didn't like them. Well I gave them a chance. I still love the Las Vegas one but not too happy with season 7.
I am loving CSI Miami this season... I cried when Eric got shot.. so glad he was okay. But only thing I saw wrong that they put him back to work too soon. I always said I hated Horatio... he grew on me.. He isn't ugly well he is so ugly that he is cute if you ever heard that saying.

I don't know why I continue to watch CSI: Miami, other than it's on. It's complete *beep*.
Horatio so murdered that guy in Rio. The dude is lying there on the ground, unarmed, with a bullet in his shoulder, and Horatio shoots him in the head? Come oooooooon. And then that freaky guy who's dating Caine's son's mother. Like interview rooms don't have CCTV.
