PostThu Jun 01, 2006 10:42 pm    Happy Birthday, Odo!

I didn't know where to put this, but, today (June 1, 2006) is Rene Auberjonois' (Odo from DS9) 66th birthday!

Happy Birthday, you sly shape-shifter, you!

Joyeux Anniversaire!

Probably one of the best things in DS9. What a great actor and character. Although...does anyone know how to pronounce his last name? lol.

Dan! Where are you? We need a French person or someone who understands it.

Wow...I watched some show on TVLand called "Benson". To my suprise, guess who was in it? Yep...You guessed it...

Rene Auberjonois!

He played a character that was completely different than the Odo we have come to know and love...Crazy, eh?

- I completely agree. I'm just now starting to get into DS9, and he's such a fascinating character.

Happy Belated Birthday Rene...but hey I wasn't a member of this forum then. Your birthday is a day before mine.

I just turned to that show on accident the other day. Along with Rene, I heard another familiar voice, and it was Ethan Phillips (Neelix). Even starnger was, the episode I was watching made jokes about Star Trek, years before either of them would have been considered for Star Trek roles.

- Fate? LOL. I've heard of stuff like that happening before. Before Julie Andrews was offered the role of Maria in "The Sound of Music", she did a parody of it with Carol Burnett.
