-La Luna, Main Deck-

Liana peered over the side and gasped. What the hell did that! She looked over to Faris, then back to the boat. She opened her mouth, wanting to yell something, call for Paul, demand to know what was going on. She spoke horsely, trying to call for her guns.

"Paul,....paul get over here..."

She looked to Faris again then back to the boat. All the blood was...what was it, Human? had to be... her hand went down to her side, felling her hand gun she had carried, not quite trusting the crowd. She slowly undid the safetly catch on the holster and squinted. What monstrosity did that?

-La Luna, Main Deck-

Farik stared at the boat for what seemed like forever, greatly disturbed by what he saw. His eyes darted towards a figure near the trailer. It was Alexander White. Strangely enough, the man looked completely calm and unphased by what they were seeing. He turned and reentered the special trailer. Juan continued to shout, while staring over at the other boat. Farik noticed the other boat was coming a little too close.

"Turn about!" He screamed.

Juan nodded and rushed back towards the helm. If that boat came any closer, the two would collide and their journey would end before it even began. The boat continued to drift closer, obviously not manned by any crew. Farik stepped away from the railing as the other boat neared. He gripped the bars on the windows of the jeep and prepared for impact. Juan managed to turn the boat and avoid a direct collision. The other boat slid alongside La Luna. The boat shook hard as both scratched against each other's hull. Farik clutched the bar on the windows to steady himself. Finally it stopped, with the other boat parallel to theirs. Juan and Hector were screaming at each other in Spanish. Farik took a few tantive steps towards the other boat, wishing he had a fire arm on him. His eyes scanned their main deck and saw...

"Oh God..." He said, covering his mouth and nose from the smell. Blood was everywhere as were limbs...

"Madame Wilson!" Paul shouted, rushing towards her.

He looked her over, "Are you alright?"

Liana was on the deck from the impact of the collision. She looked to Paul and shook her head as she stumbled to stand. She saw the limbs and covered her mouth.

"Oh, god..."

Liana looked away, hinding her eyes as she huged paul for support.

"Oh,...that is remains of people..." She looked into Pauls face.

"People, Paul...."

She looked slowly over to Farik.

"What....I mean, who?...what is?.."

-La Luna, Main Deck-

Farik ignored Liana and snatched the micro uzi in Paul's hand. He checked to see if it was armed and then slowly made his way towards the other boat. Farik didn't even wait for anyone else to follow. He leapt over the railings and landed on the other side...

-Unknown Boat, Main Deck-

Immediatly, he slipped on the slip of blood but managed to catch himself on the railing. The massive spotlight was still aimed onto the main deck, which gave him plenty of light. Deathly silence was all he heard while looking at the corpses. Their bodies were mangled and killed by a large predator. One of the men were stripped down to patches of meat and bone. One of his eyes were hanging from the socket as if the animal was fighting to yank it out and then gave up.

"What are you doing!?" A voice asked.

Farik jumped slightly, frightened by the random voice coming from no where. He looked back towards the main boat and saw Juan on the other side.

"Get off that boat now stupido!" He yelled, "We need to get the hell out of here!"

"No," He said, "I want to know what happened to these people. What the hell kind of animal does this?"

He looked over at Liana, the renowned hunter. Would an animal from Africa have done this.

"Answer me!" He ordered.

Farik didn't really mean to be so demanding, but the situation was frightening and a part of him was worried that something would jump out at him in the darkness.

La Luna, Main Deck

Ariaal stumbled up onto the main deck, wrenched unhappily from her perch reading the latest in the American Journal of Medicine below. Her sky-blue eyes caught the scene, matte with fog. The people that were on the deck were looking over to a boat paralleled to theirs. Biting her lip, the young doctor ran her fingertips over her knife. She didn't feel she retained the priviledge to speak. Instead, she slipped over in between some of the people to get a better view, her black boots making a farmiliar hollow sound on the metal. What she saw didn't nauseate her. She'd seen blood, and body parts before, having worked in the ER through med school. She regarded the situation with sharpened calm--serene, but calculating, weighing the odds of what the danger truly was.

"Sh*t," she whispered under her breath, clutching her knife, a gift from her fiance, tighter in her hand.

-La Luna, Main Deck-

Alex had his pistol in his hand the second he saw the "corpses" on the other boats deck. His combat training took hold and he leapt over the railing just behind Farik. He walked towards the door that supposedly lead to the second deck. He waited for Farik to make his move, he was the team leader after all...

"What the hell happend over here?" he said, beggining to sweat

-La Luna, Main Deck-

Liana jumped slightly then looked over to Farik.

"I...I don't know! Nothing I have ever seen,...or heard of. There are anmials that can rip a man apart, but...not like that."

Liana pointed to the mess near him. She looked to Paul.

"Paul, please get some rifles for whomever is...boarding the ship, including me. I...I've gotta know Paul,...."

She moved and made a similar jump over the rails of the two boats. She readied her weapon and made her way to Farik.

"My god...this...look, it's as if they were torn apart by something...."

Liana studied the mess. It made her to want to be sick, but she had to make her observations.

"It was strong, you see, while an animal can rip someone a part, they have to be strong, or have sharp teeth. Which could be this."

Liana pointed to a mass, it had some odd looking marks.

"This however," Liana pointed it out, "This...I don't know. Claws maybe? Big for a teeth of some kind..."

-La Luna, Main Deck-

Farik stared a the corpses, listening as Liana explained. Her friend or associate or whatever he was rushed off, obeying her order. He had a feeling that heavy weaponry would not be needed. Whatever did this...he doubted...or rather, hoped, it was not onboard still. The smell was enough to knock over a grown man. Farik kept his hand over his mouth, not wanting to inhale the filthy smell. Alexander and Liana had both crossed over, much to Juan's annoyance. He cursed at all three in Spanish.

"What is wrong you all?" He yelled, "I told you not to get on the boat! We must leave!"

He looked visibly frightened, shaking at the sight of the dead bodies or maybe it was just the smell. Farik ignored him and kept his finger over the trigger of his gun. He wondered if these people had gone to the same island they were about to head to. His eyes moved towards the growing number of people on the main deck, wanting to see what was going on. He noticed Alexander about to go into the lower deck.

"Wait up!" Farik said, rushing towards him.

Farik looked back at Liana, "Come on."

He would feel better knowing she was coming along and could take any predators down. Paul rushed out of the aft section of the boat, carrying three rifles, all Remington 710s. He tossed one to Liana and another to Alexander. Paul cast a dirty look towards Farik, annoyed the man snatched one of the guns away from him. He kept the last rifle for himself and moved towards Liana. Farik continued to ignore the disgruntled cries of Juan and moved to open the door to the second deck.

"With all due respect doctor," He said to Alexander, "I should go first..."

While he knew that Alexander could probably handle himself, the man was needed for this mission. It would be stupid to get the paleotologist killed. He opened the door and saw...nothing. The smell was just as bad. He placed his hand on the railing that led that downstairs and quickly pulled his hand away. It was now covered in blood, as was the railing.

"What the..." He muttered, while walking down the stairs.

Liana held the rifle close to her. She peered around the corner behind Farik. She groaned slightly, fighting to gag. The smell, and the site was awful. She looked back to Paul and nodded in aknowledge ment of his pressence. She looked ahead again and leaned close to Farik.

"What ever did this, we would be graced by god if we don't find it on the boat waiting for us..."

Alex put his hand on the railing but quickly removed it. The railing was covered in blood.

The stench of the rotting flesh was almost overwhelming, but Alex managed to hold himself together. He followed Farik down the stairs slowley.

"What the hell....could have done this" Alex said as searched his pockets for his flashlight....

La Luna, Main Deck

Ari looked from Juan to the others who had crossed over to the new boat. Yet unnoticed by anyone, the slender doctor climbed over to the boat of the dead, trotting over to join the man and woman who were venturing in further. If she was going on this excursion, the hell if she was going to miss any of the action. She kept her lips pursed, nodding over to the woman. "I'm Ari. One of the scientists," her voice was soft with a respect for the broken corpses.

(My apologies. I think I've been confusing people. Farik, Alexander, Liana, and Paul are NOT on La Luna.)

-Unknown Ship, Second Deck-

Farik stopped at the edge of the steps and raised his weapon, using a weak hanging light to see. He scanned the room and saw...a person's hand but nothing else.

"I've never seen any animal do something like this," He said, coughing from the smell, "I don't get it..."

He crouched down and stared at the hand, then recoiled in disgust.

"We should leave..." He said.

-La Luna, Main Deck-

Juan cursed again and pulled out a knife. He looked around and noticed Mark standing there.

"You!" He said, "Come with me."

He wanted back up in case something really was on the boat...

Liana nodded in agreement. She looked over to the new arival, the young slinder scientest.

"Hello, Ms. Ari."

She looked to Farik.

"I agree, we should leave. What ever did this....could come back..."

She looked over to Ari.

"I am Liana Wilson."

If you want me to fight Ill need a gun. Mark was a little nervous. He wasnt a combat specialist like other people around here were.

Unknown Ship, Second Deck

"Greetings." Ari shifted, glancing over at Farik. "And we leave with no more information than before we stood on this boat?"

-Unknown ship. Second deck-

Alex heard his heart beating in his chest, his pulse was starting to race.

"We should leave" Farik said

Alex nodded his head as he gripped his rifle and kept it close to his chest. The hand in the center of the floor was laying in a pool of blood the sight of it made Alex cringe.

-Unknown Ship, Second Deck-

Farik noticed this new woman come onboard, some scientist. She seemed to be intent on exploring more, despite the possible danger here. Then again, hadn't Farik been intent on exploring as well?

"Fine..." He muttered, not pleased.

-La Luna, Main Deck-

Juan stared at Mark, surprised at what he had said.

"If I had a gun would I be carrying a knife?" He said sarcastically.

He motioned for the man to follow once more and headed towards where the others were.

-Unknown Ship, Main Deck-

Farik turned his eyes towards something at the end of the long corridor. He noticed rapid movement from the floor and it dissapearing into a room.

"What the hell was that!?" He said.

He motioned for the others to follow, lifting his gun in front of him.

Liana looked in the direction Farik was looking in. She aimed her rifle to that spot and glanced around. With out looking back, she unholstered her hand gun and passed it to Ari.

"Here, take this" she whispered. She inched foward towards Farik.

She made a motion for him and her to mirror each other's movements, providing a flank for each other. She looked down the corridor...

Unknown Ship, Main Deck

Ari didn't bother to thank the woman. She tried not to smile at the pistol. It wasn't bad, but she longed for the Rugger she'd left in her bag. She followed the others carefully. She'd never shot a man before, but had vowed long ago that she could... or... whatever came out at them. Natural selection. The better equipped should save themselves. And she promised Julian she'd come home. She would keep that promise.

Alex was walking a pace behind Farik, but quickly fell behind to bring up the rear, or to cover the team if they had to retreat.

"Ill cover our backs he said tossing his flashlight to Liana.

-Unknown Ship, Second Deck-

Farik continued down the corridor, slowly approaching that door. Liana was close to him, providing cover. He appreciate the gesture, but was not quite ready to be buddy buddy with her just yet. Alexander was quite the interesting scientist. It was obvious he had some combat training and quite frankly, he was glad. He hated the idea of babysitting a bunch of scientists. At least, he knew that Alexander could take care of himself. Farik stopped when he heard a rather strange noise from within the room. He prepared for whatever was on the other side. Farik nodded to Liana, preparing her for what he was about to.

"One..." He said. "Two...THREE!"

He kicked the door open, causing it to swing against the wall. What he saw caused him to almost throw up...

-Unknown Ship, Main Deck-

Juan continued towards the door the group dissapeared in. He looked back at Mark.

"We have to get those idiotos off the boat," He explained, "and FAST."

-Unknown Ship, Second Deck-

Farik looked stared down at the floor to see nearly two dozen Compsognathus longipes, better known as compys. Small reptiles, scavengers, but deadly. They were crowded all over the dead body, picking apart it's flesh. Whatever killed him though, was not the small animals. They compys ran quickly in fear as soon as the door slammed into the wall. They made soft, but constant chittering sounds as they ran apart. Farik fired his uzi into the room, trying to hit as many as possible. They managed to flee, hiding in small spots where the bullets couldn't get them.

"What the hell are those things!?" He demanded.

Liana shook her head as she looked around trying to find a target.

"I...I don't know! I've never seen anything like that before!"

She looked around the room for any signs of one of those things.

"Oh, god...."

The sight of what was left of the person, or persons was not a pretty one. Hearing a similar sound, Liana turned and fired towards a wall in the room, not sure if she hit anything.

"Those...those things, their much, much to small for it to have been what ever killed these people."

Mark nodded and continued to follow the man. He opened his wrist com and licked up with the GPS satellite. At least hed be able to keep tabs on where he was. He closed the com and continued following the man that was leading him.

-Unkown Ship, Second Deck-

Alexander ran to the front of the group to get a better look at the creature, a list of small dinosaurs ran through his head.

"Compsognat--....Compy's." he said awe struck. "Judging by their size." He stepped back "but...they...they're dinosaurs they're extinct..." He looked from the dinosaur to Farik. "I suggest we get the hell out of here....now"
