Star Locke proposed:

A $10,000 tax on abortions
A %100 on Video Games, and Junk Food

Is he some kind of far-right loon?

Only if something huge happens will people change their minds.

Campaign season's just started up. Two months before 1994's election Newt Gingrich had no idea what would happen. There was no hint that the Republicans would gain control of the Congress, and yet what happened? They did. A lot can change, especially if something big happens. It's like a Football game that's just entered the second half.

As to Locke, he's no conservative with all those proposed tax increases, abortion or not.

I know. That doesn't even hint of conservatism, though. Not a bit.

He's decreasing taxes on other things, and increasing them on others. How he expects them to balance..

He's not well known, but he has a pretty loyal following.

He got 25,000 votes during some election...

Kinky calls Katrina Evacuees "crackheads and thugs"

AUSTIN -- A Houston-area lawmaker said today that she is "vehemently insulted" by independent gubernatorial candidate Kinky Friedman's derogatory comments about Hurricane Katrina evacuees.

Friedman last week attributed a spike in Houston's crime rate to the "crackheads and thugs" who evacuated New Orleans.

"He has demonstrated a total lack of human sensitivity," said state Rep. Senfronia Thompson, D-Houston. "The people of Katrina have lost everything and are suffering not only from the loss of loved ones, but the trauma of the event itself. What has precipitated from this tragedy is behavior that results from a disastrous event."

He also called Liberals "Un-american" a few weeks ago as well.

The more i hear about this guy, the more i dislike him. He is an idiot!

I am so glad to finally hear someone else say that.
