PostSat Aug 26, 2006 11:56 am    Janeway- amnesia?

In Future's End, she claims to have no idea what her ancestors were doing at the time

"For all I know, she could be my great-great-grandmother

Yet, in 11.59, we have all that reminiscence about her family and the Millennium Gate. I wonder what's going on...

- You have to remember with a series, stuff like that writers wont remember. Future's End happened years before 11:59, as all the things they do remember their bound to forget some things.

well, in 11:59 she does end up saying that she did a lot of studying up on her family, so maybe her suddenly knowing about them came from that? Just a suggestion...

I've recently found my heritage back 8 generations. To do that, I had to know my grandpa's name, and the internet. Voyager's computer can carry many times more information than our current "internet", so know doubt the information was already in the computer's for her to research whenever she had time.

But more than likely the writers just weren't paying attention.
