K'Ehelyr's. Of course, you didn't really *see* her die, but you see the aftermath, and it's fairly bloody. Spock's death was pretty hard-hitting too.

Poor Worf, what a tragic life. First his parents, then K'Ehelyr, then his family gets dishonnored, then to protect his brother, he has to get a new name and face, then Jadzia died. and among all this, a strained relationship with Alexander.

Jadzia's is most memorable for me. The only thing I hated was that Sisko and Dax didn't share a scene before her death. After watching so much of the earlier seasons, Sisko and Dax were so close to rob them of that. Same thing with Sisko's "death". He didn't even talk to Jake before leaving. It seems that Sisko is always robbed of that...

I agree, it kinda disturbed me almost when worf was chanting and Sisko just stood there, I kinda understood WHY he did out of respect, but I half expected him to join in. Also, what bothered me? No one was like "Do you want me to call the Enterprise?" I mean... come on...

Yeah, I'd have to say that Jadzia's death really stood out to me. It was just so sad. She was pregnant too. I remember getting pretty teary during that episode. Yeah, Sisko was so close to Jadzia that I was surprised about that too, but I think he didn't start chanting with Worf because she was his wife. And no matter how close Sisko was to her, it's just really different when you lose your spouse. Who knows how Worf would have reacted since he was grieving. But you're right, Lord Borg, Worf has had a really hard life. I keep forgetting that K'Ehelyr died. I'd have to say, Jadzia's death, followed by Spock's really stood out for me. It sucked when Tasha Yar died too because she died instantly. I think Data's "death" sucked too. It was just so damn sad that he did the most human thing, sacrificing himself when he wasn't even physically human.

Every time I see the Nemisis ending with Data coming to the rescue of Picard.I cry heaps,its so sad when he puts the transporter pin on him and whispers 'goodbye'.
Jadzia is also a very sad death too.I hate that she left with only one season remaining!I would have loved to see worf have had a happy life for a change!

I'd have to say Spock's death. It is forever engrained in me, and it is indeed my most prominent Trek death memory.

Spocks is the best performance.

Jadzia had the most impact because no regular character had ever been killed before, during a series (Tasha I understand but she was only around for a small amount of time).

I thought that the scene from Lower Decks where Picard tells the crew that the young Bajoran (can not remeber her name) had been killed was pretty hanky worthy , although that probably does not apply to this thread.

I'd say the most memorable death in Trek for me would be Janeway's in Course: Oblivion. That really was heart braking.

For me the death of Jadzia impacted me more than Tasha Yar. Jadzia was there for almost the whole series. Where as Yar was only in the first series of TNG (correct me if I'm wrong).

I'm currently watching DS9 episode by episode from beginning to end and have so far reached the end of season 2. I think once I reach DS9's end, I will most definately agree with you on that one!

(You're right, Tasha Yar was only in the first series.)

I have to say Data's death really bothered me.....and I always think of it. And Janeway's in "Coda"...I know she didn't REALLY die......but.....when the episode first aired, I had already seen the previews for it the wednesday prior....and was crying because I thought she was going to die.......and then I watched the episode.....and cried again....and then was all happy when I found out she wasn't actually dead. But I love the eulogies that the crew does for her and she's standing in the room, fighting tears....
