Actually it's October 6 which is a Friday. The 5th is a Thursday. If you go to the website: http://www.scifi.com/battlestar/ It lists the date and the dates of all the webisodes which I didn't even know about and I'm going to watch them now! Ooh, look at the little topic that I started here. Didn't realize this many people liked the show as much as I did. Of course, I thought the same thing when I was at Comic Con and then when the whole entire room for the panel was crowded, like no seating left, and I was like, OMG! People dressed up as Viper Pilots too. It was so cool! I wish I got pictures of the costumes but I did get pics of some of the actors.

But yes, I'm so excited for the new season to start. I can't wait!

The season 3 premiere starts at 9pm and will be for 2 hours this Friday, Oct. 6. Airing 2 episodes called "Occupation" and "Precipice." I'm so looking forward to it! And the show will have a new time. It will now be shown every Friday at 9pm. And BSG episodes will also be On Demand the day after each new episode airs.

I didn't think it was all that good. It was okay, but by Galactica standards, it was no "Kobol's Last Gleaming". There was too much talk, and the transition back into the BSG world just wasn't as smooth as I thought it would be. I liked it, and I'm sure that the season will only get better though.

I just saw the first 2 episodes of Season 3, good stuff but not great lke Season 2.

Quote:
Man, Gaius what a traitor. But then again, a lot of humans now are traitors. These 2 episodes put this season a lot further then the previous 2. But they don't really make any new questions, just a lot of wandering what will happen next and what the plan of the different cylon models are(as i see they are all different in opinion). Anyway, i believe sharon is a lot more reliable then most humans, People will soon be liberated from new caprica and a civil war will start in the Cylon community. and is it me or does Colonel Tais wife have syphillis or something? i hope se does, and dies from it, or am i too cruel now?

I thought the first 2 episodes were great. Very dark and real. Also depressing though. I can't wait to see what happens next! The suicide bombers thing reminds me of what goes on in Iraq, and the executions type thing reminded me of WWII with the Nazis. But yes, very good! They did say that the episodes were going to be very dark this season so it should be interesting where they're going to go with the show.

I don't think that Baltar is a traitor. Well yes, he is a traitor in deed, but the events in the premiere show that he isn't anti-human. He's in love with a Cylon, much like Helo. It's just like when Number Three asked Caprica Six "Is the love of that man really worth all of this?", and Six answers, "If you've ever been in love you wouldn't have to ask." Baltar is a very complex individual, but I empathised with him in that moment of desperation when they wanted him to sign that order.

Yeah, I do agree with that. I mean he's screwed them over a lot. But he is very complex like you said. And the reason why the Cylons are there now really is because they did say, "Well you don't have a choice." Although saying if he cooperates, no harm will be done isn't true, because they have done harm. But I did feel bad when he was forced to sign that thing. And like they said, they'd find another president to basically cave under the pressure like that if they wanted.

Whatever happened to the hiding of spoilers?

Sorry, it's just hard to sometimes hide spoilers about anything all together on this website when you talk about this many TV shows. Especially with a topic that I put focusing on the show and the upcoming season 3 (which of course already started). Like for instance, I haven't seen all of DS9, yet there are times where I wish I hadn't heard about certain episode spoilers that fans of the show mention on this website because they've already watched the show and then I feel as if I can't watch episodes without being surprised anymore. Unless there's a way to edit the actual topic where I could put, *SPOILERS* on it. I guess next time, I'll try to put it in the subject reply so then someone knows that what's being said contains some spoilers.

I love Battlestar Galactica and Season 3 has rocked. Battlestar Galactica is my favorite television show...ever. I love it more than DS9. (*gasp*) Baltar is awesome. Not better than the Sisko, but, still frakking (BSG dialect right there) awesome.

Take a look at my sig. BSG. One of my favorite quotes. Kinda dark, no?

This season is awesome and I can't wait for the next episode...and the next one...and the next one...

Oh I know! Season 3 has been really good. The first few episodes were just amazing. I actually can't see your sig for some reason. I can't wait for this week's episode either but I have to work tomorrow night. Luckily it usually reruns again at 11 and is also On Demand. And Baltar is awesome! Even though sometimes he really pisses me off, he's still such a great character. I have now concluded it's my favorite show of all time...this surpasses anything Star Trek for me. Star Trek is still awesome but BSG is just too good.

So the season's fall finale has arrived. Frankly it was a lot better than the beginning of the season, but the season itself has been bumpy for me. I hate the whole dynamic going on with the Apollo-Starbuck-Dee-Anders quadrangle. :/ "Fight" honestly did nothing for me.

The silver lining has been the continued exploration of the Cylons. It definitely isn't a coincidence that the number 5 is of great importance to both human and Cylon . . . I have a feeling that their paths shall continue to converge. Exploring this aspect of the BSG mythos, and how the Cylons are fracturing within themselves, is really why I'm still watching.

Admiral Adama is such a hero. He has human flaws and human emotions, which make him a great, three-dimensional character. His capacity to make those decisions is admirable.

Yes it is supposed to be widescreen. I've heard a lot of problems about the itunes version of it.

OK.... yeah, most of the words are cut off at the bottom and eyelines are cut in half at the top, it's really distracting.

I'm looking forward to BSG starting up again. I have followed the new series since it's creation. BSG is one of three shows I keep up with and will always be a favorite.

/me is so glad that he is now seeing at the same time as his American counterparts. ^_^

That was a shocking new start, in a way, although I did enjoy some of the aspects, such as the tension between Starbuck and Dee, and the intra-Cylon conflict.

It's nice that the show is portraying the Cylons as truly three-dimensional enemies who have their own internal politics and who are as deeply flawed as their human counterparts. Moreover, it's made clear by how the Cylons react that this is the first time it's happening to them--they have been unified up until now, and now humanity is fracturing them. If Adama and the others knew this I'm sure they would enjoy it immensely.

Starbuck/Dee: All I have to say is, poor Dee, poor Anders.

Baltar's own obsession with finding the faces of the Final Five is compelling. I wish we saw more of the "imaginary" Number Six; her role as of late has seemed greatly reduced and I love how she provides a fanatical counterpoint to Baltar's otherwise calm and composed veneer of civility. Watching him literally lose that civility as he panics when D'Anna collapses in the temple was great.

As mentioned above regarding the Cylon internal schism, the final part of the episode in which the Cylons made a fateful decision was not surprising. Originally this was the fate I feared for the Sharons. Again, the writers are clever--the entire action demonstrates how much the Cylons depend on consensus and model unity in order to function, but also how utterly ruthless they can be to ensure that continued unity.

So any bets on who the Final Five Cylons are?
