PostFri Sep 01, 2006 12:18 am    Brittish Universities

I've been selected as a canidate to exchange with a Brittish University. I know nothing about Brittish Universities. I know several people here are from the UK and might be able to tell me which of my choices are the best. I'm studying Music and Drama.
My choices are:
University of Birmingham
U of Durham
U of East Anglia
Lancaster U
U of Leeds
U of Manchester
U of London, Royal Holloway
U of Sheffield
U of Sussex
U of York

from what I have heard thusfar I think that Lancaster, Leeds and Sussex are not the best choices for me and that East Anglia and London are the better ones. Input please?

University of Durham is only 20 minutes away, Johny

Of those, the University of Durham is considered to be one of the best, and it's one of three unis that do the college system (the others being Oxford and Cambridge). I don't know how any of them are for music and drama, but I can find out.

Durham is supposed to be the "best" but when i stayed their on a college trip i was very disappointed, its a bit run down.

Personally i would go to Leeds, I've been to that uni and its pretty good.

lol alright...hmmm, (and if I go, I will visit no matter where I am ) I will be either a junior or senior by US system which is 3rd, and 4th year university (It depends when I go, it could be as early as January) I am Studying music and theatre so I am looking for someplace with well develped music and theatre programs...
I've heard on my own that leeds, lancaster, and sussex don't have a good music and/or theatre program which is why I had thought those wouldn't be as good. I also heard that London has a good theatre program...
And what I have from you guys so far is that you like Manchester, Leeds, Durham, and London?
