PostFri Aug 25, 2006 10:08 am    My EXTREMLY controversial views

Okay first off i want all of you to know that i do not condone murder or terrorism and i value all life very highly.

This is about the planned terror attacks on 9 planes leaving england and bound for america.

In my opinion i wished that the terrorists did suceed. Im not saying that it was right what they had planned, far from it. and no i havent forgotten the fact that it would have been the worst terror attack in history with over 4,000 deaths.

But still i think that if they had suceeded then england would be forced to takes is head out of americas a** and actually take matters into its own hands. Econemy would suffer and as a result england would finally begin to show its teeth and make it clear they are a force to be reconed with. Finally the UK would become of the worlds super powers again. Then they would finally begin to make progress on the war on terror. The UK citicens wouldnt have such devided views and wouldnt be so clearly against their own governments decisions. We would finally be united as one again for the same cause. We wouldnt have to be so dependent on america and finally the government wouldnt run off to america before it made a decision.

I believe that in the long run, the UK would have benefited from the attacks. It is a terrible thing to say and as far as i know no one agrees with me. However those are my views, no matter how controversial.

The british empire, our empire is dead. We killed it ourselves, and now we let people who we "civilised" beat us at cricket.

It's the way of the world.

We have a stupid government- either deal with it or do something about it.
Don't just wish that innocent people die.

this is ridicolous. Let American civilians die so the Britain are getting stronger, well nothing will change if that would happen, only they would have a smaller army. Now it is going well, Britain is second to America, at least that seems, if they would retreat o dear you get mad Americans...

If you want Britain to "get it's head out of America's whatever" then do something about it.
Start a rally.
Go egg Tony Blair.
Spray some contraversial graffitti.

Dont just sit at your computer ranting about how your country sucks.

I was thinking of aiming for Mr Bush, if he ever comes over here.

It just really annoys me when people rant about where they live and how it's awful and then do nothing about it. I live in a place called Slough. It's a bit of a dump, but I don't winge about it constantly. I just try to improve it by picking up litter whenever I see it, and smiling at people all the time.

hahahaaaaaaaa! Never thought about eggs. Standard or boiled?

No i do not wish that innocent people, english or americans die. I live in a place called tamworth, its a fairly large town just outside of birmingham. Its not exactly a nice place but i have seen worse. i dont go on about how crap it is because at the end of the day its my home.

There isnt exactly much anyone can do now. The terror attack was stopped.

I'm not going to do much about it because i dont agree with what the terrorists are doing and like most people i hope they will be stopped.

At this point in time theres not really much anyone can do. Tony Blair is allegedly standing down next year and for all we know that could change everything. I simply wanted your guys opinions and wanted to see if there were other people who agree with me.

When this all happened i was in gran canaria at the time. Since then i have spoken to only around 30 people in GC and in the UK and no one agrees with me (to be honest not many people cared at all lmao)

I just don't want out econemy (sp?) to suffer, because I can't get a job as it is at the moment (although, in my town, that's partly due to a high immigration rate)

The only way I might possibly wish that the attack had succeeded, would be if it opened people's eyes to methods of transport other than air travel. Air travel is very bad for the environment. Commerical flights of less than 3 hours simply shouldn't be allowed. People should catch the train or ferry from England to europe. Cheap flights are killing the planet.

Thats actually something i have never herd before. You the only person to mention about air travel.

You know madlilnerd i like your fire! You've got alot of character hehe.

The econemy would undoubtedly drop for a while but it would probably pic up and get much better than it is now. Plus with those attacks plus the attacks on the trains and buses it doesnt exactly make england a desirable place.....perhaps there wouldnt be so many imigrants?

It would definatly reduce air travel from the UK. There are quite a few airlines on the verge of bankruptsy at the moment. Also less people have been flying since the attempted attack. If it had actually happened imagine how many people would stop flying. People be just too afraid.

I'm the total opposite of tha staement Sonic. I'm glad they stopped those terrorists before they could act while knowing they where oging to do something horrible.

Now we finally know we can stop them, and the terrorists now know too, its not as easy as it might seemed a few years ago.

After 9/11 Terrorism almost seemed a sport, in england, Spain, Italy. Radical muslims started shooting at protestors, politicans went in hiding. Now finally the day has come that we can go out of the caves and say "Tis has be going on long enough" and we make good decisions on how to deal with this problem (just yesterday in holland the new law came into action that no every business MUST pay minimum wages to personell, to prevent from businesses to hire Aliens for very low wages.)

This War on Terror isn't about England, or the US, its about Peace, Freedom of speech, freedom of religion..... and oil of course.
