BORG CUBE 31572 HISTORY LOG:

Disconnected from the hive for 12 days. Transmitter is broken, cannot connect to each others mind. Need to start repairs on the Transmitter for reconnecting with the hive... Error. Impulse not to activate. Must analyze current situation and act upon it. Repairs are not commencing until analysis is complete. Must finish analysis as soon as possible and repair the transmitters...

Intro
Borg cube 31572 is a new Borg cube created to deal with the ships in this sector. But 1 Cube was not enough. They got trapped and took heavy damage. This caused the cube to be disconnected to the Borg hive because their transmitter and some other systems got damaged by a attack. Their primary goal is to repair systems and return connection to the hive. But will that actually happen? Scavengers are familiar to roam the place. They could be dead before the battle started. Their chances to survive are minimal but it could be done...

The Commanding Drone over the Cube is "4 of 13" a drone assimilated a week before the cube was created. But there is something strange about him. The drones all have been rearranged in usefull positions to replace the computer systems that had fallen out. Drones are getting errors receiving images of happy times, strange people and more... perhaps memories?

Assimilated Species: Klingon Sub-Class specie
Bio: PRIOR to bieng assimilated during a borg spat along the klingon border, the bieng once known as Laurent was a starfleet officer, who had taken on the male form of his tutor, Captain Lauren Van den Haus' name, as per tradition. Shortly after the klingon victory, several klingons, and one klingon sub-classed specie was partially assimilated with a last-ditch virus attempt. Now known as 12 of 21, Repair adjunct of unimatrix 03, He looks slightly more menacing, considering he is still 6 foot 4, however he no longer has his bright orange hair. Still, he is quite a force to be dealt with, considering he has been fitted with a borg repair arm, equipped with a cutting torch, which can be fired almost like a phaser.

4 of 13 awakes from his regeneration cycle. He checks the panel in front of him. He enters some commands

"Analysis is progressing slow, cause: Damage to sensor, repairs are slowed, cause: insufficient Technical drones."
"Change Repair drones to Technical drones."
"Change completed. Estimated time for repairs: 25hours 33 minutes and 57 seconds"

3 of 12 disengaged from his alcove. Instructions had not been given. 3 of 12 accessed the internal scanners. Systems had been damaged. Technical had not responded. The analysis was inconclusive.

A stray thought flooded into 3�s mind. A farm house. Five people. Three girls, two boys. The other two were older. Mother and Father. <System malfunction, purge individual thought. Secondary orders active. Restore tactical systems.>

Priority 2: Assess System Damage
Priority 3: Reestablish link with the Collective.

Stray thoughts flooded 3�s mind again. Someone was speaking to him.

4 of 13 was walking around the ship and saw that the other drones were acting strange, he ignored it and went on with his business. Then he heard the computer in his mind.
<<Vessel detected in grid 136-7, 79 lifesigns species 5618, 3259, 2594, awaiting tactical orders>>
He walked to a console and checked the ship status. The ship could be capable of fighting and assimilating but it could suffer great losses. He let the decision over to the Head Tactical Drone as he had other things to take care off. He moved further around the ship when he suddenly had a quick feel off guilt. Then it dissapeared as he moved further trough the ship...

3 punched the required code into the replicator and created regeneration sequencers. 3 received a notice about a nearby vessel. The cube was in no condition to fight. Most drone hadn�t been able to disengage from their alcoves. That left very few to assist the vessel in repairs.

=<Tactical recommends disregard of the vessel on sensors. Keep sensor lock on said vessel for possible later assimilation.>=

6 of 12 came out of his regeneration alcove andd proceded to a nearby panel
He quickly checked the Cubes Current condition and then proceded down the corridor towards the Vinculum On his way he ordered several dones to proceded there as well.

Then he got a quick vision of a woman saying: "Honey, are you alright?"
It dissapeared. He ignored it thinking it was an error.

At once a armada of 5 ships appear, of the same ships that the cube saw before.

<<Alert, ships coming out of grid 057-85, entering attack positions, activating shields>>

The ship got a hit.
<<Hit... shields at 61%... adapting to fire, firing photo.....>>

The cube got hit again
The computer fell out, they needed to arrange this manually now.

"Attack position Delta... adapt to weapons fire... disable weapons and engines, assimilation beam after disabling... Head drones required at their posts..."

3 of 9 acts quickly, her hands fluttering deftly over the glowing green and white controls.

The female drone faltered, her hands frozen over the console.

A vision swept over her.

Laughter. Faces smiling. The voices of family members.

"Varaxae, come inside, everyone is waiting for you to blow out the candles !"

A house in the hills.

3 of 9 blinked furiously, her focus reinitiated. She continued to execute evasive maneuvers.

"Maneuver complete. Recommend activate Tractor Beam."

"Initiating tractor beam, bringing in vessel... vessel in dock... adapting to 2d vessel's weapon..."

When the Cube started to win the 3d vessel fired a unknown weapon disabling the engines off the cube. The vessel then fled away to avoid destruction. But they still have 1 vessel in their dock...

"Transport drones to vessel in dock... assimilate crew and ship... transport me there too..."

4 of 13 got transported to the vessel with 30 other drones spread around the vessel. Assimilation had started... proceed...

(OCC:All of you who joined this... I understand if you are busy atm, but I get the feeling that everyone forgot this RPG or think it is boring... Well yes I could agree with the 2d, but we are only at start and I don't have much experience with beginning rpgs. I just ask 2 simple things of you, 2 things: 1. If you are there please take effort to read the posts and actually post something, it will take only a bit of your time and I would appreciate it. 2.If you are stopping with this AT LEAST send me a pm with says that you stop, reason is not required but I would like to know this. At least I can take you off the list. So now that you have read this do one of the 2 things above, this bothers me alot)

The typical oddness of things didn't surprise him, but he noticed that he would talk to himself, and himself would usually answer.
5 of 8 also tended to respond as 12 of 21, although he didn't understand why.
He also didn't understand why he kept refering to himself as one individual, when in fact he had two seperate personalities inhabiting him.
They/He sort of understood what was happening to him/them.
It was known to happen among his/thier species when the tutor whom the being is bieng tutored by gets assimilated, and at a later time, the tutor gets assimilated, by dies in the process. That bieng's mind tends to stay with the being who was tutored.
5 of 8 remembered someone... a pretty face. It scared him.
Memories were not typical of borg. They were bad.
They/he had to dissolve this malfunction, however They/He could not.
5/12 of 8/21 stared at the console, and saw the uplink was incredibly damaged.
To the point where it would take days of walking outside the ship, slowly replicating the required parts.
Computational Error.
5/12 of 8/21 does not want to repair the uplink.
Want is irrelevant.
Resistance is futile.
But the uplink is too broken.
Lame excuses are irrelevant.

But 5/12 of 8/21 cannot hear other drones to understand what they are doing.
Other drones are irrelevant. Lauren/Laurent can fix the uplink alone.

5 of 8 and 12 of 21 can fix the uplink together.
But 5 of 8 and 12 of 21 are the same drone. They can think for two people, but not act for two people. This does not compute.

But 5/Lauren of 8/Van Den Haus and 12/Laurent of 21/Van Den Haus are repair drones. The universe must compute.

4 of 13 was walking around the alien ship while other drones were assimilating the ships systems when...

"Lifeform detected, species 5618."

4 of 13 rushed to a little girl who was hiding with her teddybear.

"You will be assimilated"

The girl began to cry and screamed: "Mommy, Daddy!"
He tried to assimilate her but when his hand was near he stopped. The girl looked at him and cried even harder. He got an urge to comfort her, he put his hand behind her back but then

His hand went by her neck, and the assimilation tubes were injecting nanoprobes into the girls body. She fainted and for a moment it was quiet. Then 4 of 13 saw the girl being transported away to a assimilation chamber. A thought went to his mind.

How could I have done this...

And suddenly 4 of 13 didn't knew anything about the girl and her teddybear.

But just before 4 got transported out, he grabbed the teddybear that was lying down there, and decided to take it with him.
