When I think Heath Ledger, I don't think Joker... Oh well, Bale was an ok Batman the first time around, maybe he'll get better w/ this one.
(If this is a dupe topic, just lock?)

Eh, he could do a decent job. His acting is really hit and miss. Sometimes he has a great role in a movie and dominates it, ala A Knights Tale, The Order, The Brothers Grimm, etc. and sometimes he Nails rock bottom.
The Joker is not an easy role to play. You have to act like a lunatic and at the same time be perfectly sane. There are some people who can play the role. Jack Nicholson: The King of Crazy. Pulled off the joker perfectly.
I remember another really good portrail of the joker in a fan created movie called Batman: Dead End. The acting is very good, as well as costuming.

I have faith in Mr. Ledger as The Joker. He has the devious smile that The Joker needs.
Now all we need is Mister Niles Crane (Frasiers kid brother) as The Riddler and Brittany Murphy as Harley Quinn.

I agree, I really like Heath Ledger, in A Knight's Tale he was amazing.
