Sci-fi does have alot of good shows, but also alot of STRANGE shows. Just depends on what you are into.

Scifi runs the sydicated "Star Trek" original series (Cptn Kirk), a.k.a. "TOS".
It is also the current home of Babylon 5, a very good show (like DS9 except more action, less romance), and Farscape, another good (but slightly wierder) show. "The Outer Limits" is OK, you have to decide for yourself.
Quantum Leap is also currently rerunning on Scifi, a good old show that made Scott Bakula (now Cptn Archer) famous.
There is also a show called "Viper" on there, don't know too much about it.

I don't think its possible to scientifically prove that. Statistically, maybe, but not scientifically.
Sorry if that seems unclear to some people.

Dark Shadows is also pretty good-a bit melodramatic, but good. Also, like someone else said, TOS and Babylon 5, and also Andromeda...wait, I think that's on the WB, never mind.

A syndicated TV show, as I understand it, means that it used to be aired on another network at one point in time, and it's basically reruns. Like the "Dear Abby" column is syndicated, bc it appears in more than one newspaper, and cartoons like Garfield are syndicated.

I'm not usually a sci-fi fanatic, but I like a couple of shows, including Voyager. So, I watch a few of them on sci-fi channel.

Forever Knight is a really good show.
The sci-Fi channel has everything from alterate realities, time lines,to the paranormal. As for shows it depends what you are into. I have a question. I've seen the end of advertisements of Farscape. What's the show about?

^To be honest I'm not sure. All I can tell you is that you're best bet is to watch 'Scape next time it restarts, because the couple of times I tried to get into it in the middle I was lost.
