This guy who lives down the road from me has the coolest computer ever. It has a glass door and LEDs and *beep* all over it. And it's super fast.

In front of me I've got an old Compaq Presario laptop with about 4 GB memory.... only about 400mb left somehow.... because my family uses it sometimes... or my dad got it at work and it has all this old surveyor software that I don't think I should take off. '

At school I've got a custom built desktop with Pentium IV, XP, and 115 GB.... who needs that much space? I only have 98 left.... whatever will I do.

I actually saw someone do that for real. Makes a whole lot of noise, and from 4 stories high nothing survives.

At my work i have had the pleasure many times of putting computers into a gigant Pressing machine(a garbage disposal)

Now thats fun.

We have 250GB of hard disk space and we have only 55GB left...........

Guess we like to save things.

I have my desktop and my laptop.

My desktop is:
80GB harddrive
AMD Athlon64 3400+
256MB ram
Radeon 9600SE graphics card
Running Kubuntu Dapper Drake

My laptop is a Thinkpad T23:
20GB harddrive
Pentium III 1.1gHz
512MB ram
Running Kubuntu Dapper Drake (main OS) and Windows 2000 (for college work/games).

I'm actually happier with my laptop- things seem just to work on it

I only like laptops if they're on the ground or a table or desk or summat. I hate having them on my lap- it feels like they're cooking me alive.

I save doodles I do in paint and any old rambles in MSword, and now I have hardly any memory left.

Hey, can anyone tell me what "defragmenting" your computer means? I think that's what it's called.

Defragmentation is the computer sorting out the Hard Drives, putting all the pieces back together physically(the free space together, System files, putting lost files back etc). If you do the full scan, it takes a long time.

Depends on how fast your pc is. It takes almost no time for me....Also how much data you have stored.

Well, my primary computer is basically my laptop, soooo

Model: Dell Inspiron 8200 (Yeah, I know. Old. But I upgrade it.)
Processor: Intel Pentium 4 Mobile CPU 1.7 GHz
RAM: 768 MB
OS: Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2
Video Card: Nvidia GeForce 4 440 Go
Hard Drive: 40 Gig
CD/DVD: CD Burner/DVD Rom (Not sure what speed)
Monitor: 13 inch
USB: 2 USB ports
Cost: Not too much since I bought it used from my bro. (Normally, I wouldn't buy a computer used, but I know my bro took care of it.)

I'll get the details on my desktop when I'm on it.

The 2 computers we have at home are bought with my dad's extra hour of work.... Sort of a easy way to get rid of all your free time.

So basically they are free.

I also have an Xbox and Xbox 360 at home, but for the specs i need to find them. They are computers you know.

As for the desktop:

Model: Custom Made
Processor: AMD Athlon XP 2200+ 1.80 GHz
RAM: 1.00 Gig
OS: Windows XP Pro Service Pack 2
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 6600 GT
Hard Drive: 80 Gig
CD/DVD: DVD Rom and CD/DVD Burner (Not sure what speed for either)
Monitor: 16 inch
USB: 5 USB 2.0 ports
Cost: Can't remember. Slightly cheaper than buying a premade computer.

My HD has a total space of 52.9 GB, with 38.5 free, but I put stuff on CD's . Otherwise, my HD would be full . I make full use of my burner, I figure if I want to keep pictures or videos I have downloaded, there is no use for it on my HD other then to take up space.
