I am just going by your "qualifiers" on what you have to be to be human. I am not sentient when I am sleeping, momentarily unconcisous, or comatose. Therefore, according to you, if I am in any of these conditions, I am non-human.

Embryo's don't feel pain. You still do if you are asleep.
And sleeping is not the same state that embryo's are in.

That fact has been disproven, too. They have photos of babies at 4-5 weeks reacting to outside stimuli.

(I don't have them in my posession, it was part of a presentation)

Embryo's aren't at 4-5 weeks. They're barely even fertilized. Embryo's aren't in a state of unconscious-ness. They are basically brain dead.

embryo

Early stage of development of an organism in the egg or the uterus, during which its essential form and its organs and tissues develop. In humans, the organism is called an embryo for the first seven or eight weeks after conception, after which it is called a fetus.

Definately is clear how careful we are going to have to be if we are going to define when and why someone is human, and when and why someone is not.
