Living in Colorado, I'm glad to hear this news. 12 years old is just a little too young for marriage, don't you think?

One of the english kings ended up marrying a 12 year old (one of the early ones, I don't remember which. I think it was an Edward)
And we're constantly having tabloid stories over here of 12 year old mothers (which is WRONG)
I suppose it depends on a lot though. A few hundred year ago they thought any girl not married by about 17 was strange and probably doomed to be a spinster.

A lot of states have laws like this. Especially if one of the teenagers is pregnant. Usually they don't go through the effort of banning it because nobody really applies for a marriage license so young anymore. So, why waste the time and money?

Actually, I recently heared on Fox News about a 13 and a 14 year old getting hitched in Georgia, and there was this case in Colorado, so while it may be rare, it does happen, which is why this ban is necessary.

Mmm. There may be some kind of new marriage trend among the teenagers.

Yeah, but then there'd be a divorce trend a few years later.
I'd like to get married young. Hell, I would've got married last year (if my boyfriend had actually loved me).
Starting a family earlier leads to healthier children.

But you don't want to start to early, like you said young ages leads to divource. People who marry young "because they can" or something like that, the marrige is often doomed

No, I meant that if there was a trend in young marraiges, many of them would lead to divorce.
Teen marraige does not always lead down that route. If two people know they can work and live together, then I see no reason why they shouldn't get married.
Although, I do know two people, the boy being 19, the girl 17, and boy is that a bad example of two teenagers who want to get married. She's bi-polar and he has attachment issues. If they get married, they'll probably end up dead in one of those murder suicide dealies.
