Atlantis is pretty good... right now I'm liking it better than SG-1. At least the Wraith are a convincing enemy. So far the Ori are just creepy. I liked the first season of Atlantis better than the second season overall though, because I think they regained contact with Earth too soon. Perhaps the Ori threat will require radio silence or something so that Atlantis can be back on its own.

Atlantis is set to return July 14th with its new season (or the second half or whatever of the other one). I can't wait until then to see what lies in store for the atlantis team and what surprises we're going to have this time 'round.

I'm just now getting into it. I bought the season one dvd set the other day and so far I have watched the entire season, I love it! This is coming from someone who also has all eight of the box sets of sg-1 also. As to terms whether or now I think that the show will last as long as sg-1, as talked about earlier, It's way to early to tell. I hope that Stargate turns into the next start trek.... maybe even another spin off.. but's it's very doubtfull. The show has it's ups and downs, both atlantis and sg-1. Looking foward to watching both seasons 2 and 3!

Hey, I saw that ENT guy on Atlantis the other night! (I don't really watch Atlantis, or ENT). Anyway, he played a Wraith who wasn't anymore, but became one again.
Can anyone tell me how that ended? I fell asleep,

Well, McKay and Teyla (?) and John Whatshisface were up in the Wraith ship, they captured in the previous episode and they landed in a puddle jumper they brought and saved the doctor, left a nuclear bomb, and went back up to the ship. They intended to set the bomb off, but the ENT guy disarmed it before they could do so. So therefore they started to fire on the camp from their ship, but then another Wraith ship that the Wraith on the planet had called with their ESP or whatever got there, and started firing on their ship. So then their ship was blown up, but they managed to escape in a cloaked puddle jumper. So you don't really know if all the Wraith on the planet are dead because the ship's targeting sensors were screwed up and they were just kind of firing blind. So yeah, the other Wraith ship left possibly taking the survivors (or not), and the Daedelus came and picked up the puddle jumper.

Is anyone else loving Atlantis right now?!?!?! Cuz I sure as heck am! Things are really starting to get interesting between the Atlantis team and other races they have previously encountered...not to mention their ongoing feud with the Wraith! And, John Sheppard teaming with a Wraith to escape from a prison cell thingy...Ronnan would be so mad if he...oh wait, he did know and was mad...at the Wraith! Wow, I just hope Atlantis lasts as long as SG-1 (which isn't being continued after this year by the way) did...or longer

Look what I found buried in the "depths" of this forum!
So, what is everyone thinking about Atlantis right now? I figure besides the movies (new SG-1 movies) we can also discuss Atlantis while its in its mid-season break...or something like that.

Heck yeah man! I love this show! lol
I thought season 4 was really up and down, there would be some amazing shows, better than any before, but then they would be followed by a few duds in a row...
Anybody know when the season 4 DVDs will be out? I can't wait...

Hmmm, I thought season four was the strongest yet.
I don't think they should have quite ended it like they did, though. Maybe stopping before Shepherd found his way back. All that's left now is to find Teyla, and I really don't care about her, personally. I'm not sure how everybody else feels. I think she's probably the weakest character.

I like her alright. She's not my favorite. I mean, I don't think she's that great of an actress. But I do agree though, it wasn't a very good cliffhanger. But if they had ended it before Sheppard got back, then you already know whats gonna happen, he's obviously gonna make it back.

Normally I'd agree with you, but with them consistently killing off characters in season four, I'd think it's a bit more possible he may not have made it.
And you know that they didn't die at the end, since... that would have been the entire team, and hence the entire show.

Yeah you got a point there. But I wouldn't expect him to die. He pretty much is the show. I could see any of the characters dying or leaving pretty much except for Shepherd and Mckay.
Speaking of dying characters, Becket is supposed to be back next season but only for like 5 episodes... Anyone else think Keller needs to die and Becket be brought back?

Actually, I do like Dr. Keller, but I don't like the fact of how she's trying to go on missions, that is soooo not for her, perhaps she could stay as the doctor and they could bring Beckett back as a full-time member of Sheppard's team and a back-up / field medic.

Yeah but, (and I know I have no proof to back this up ) I think Becket is the better doctor. I dunno, Keller is just really annoying to me. She's so deadpan all the time, and then when she tries to convey emotion it just doesn't work. To me anyway.

I liked Dr. Beckett better, too. I don't really mind Dr. Keller, but it looks like we're going to be stuck with her for the long haul based on this new McKay/her relationship. She definitely gets around. First the near Ronan kiss, now McKay. Teyla is probably next.

Haha, yeah. I dunno if her and Mckay will get together though since that never really happened. What do you guys think of Robert Picardo taking over next season?

Didn't she ask him to have a drink with her though after they were trapped underground in that mine thing? Gosh, is he? I thought that was just in the alternate timeline.

Yeah she asked him for a drink, but she also almost kissed Ronon. So who knows if it really meant anything. lol
And yeah, I read it on gateworld.net or something like that. Tapping is going to do her own show and Picardo is gonna be the new leader.

That could be quite interesting...so long as they don't make his character stay as annoying as he is and allow him to develop into a better character. Other than that, HURRAY, "The Doctor" is back in SciFi!!!

Haha, yeah I really hope he doesn't stay as annoying as he has been too. I still wish they hadn't killed Dr. Weir. I liked her except for that annoying thing she did with her eyes.

Hmmm, by her "own show" does that mean a Stargate spinoff?
I can't see them placing Picardo's character as the leader of Atlantis. I can see the IOA doing it, but the producers? It's difficult to like his character and he shows no leadership capability? It just seems like a way for Shepherd to become the leader or something in the future.

I'm pretty sure its not another spinoff. I think they probly just couldn't think of any other characters to take over that would make sense. And because he's a good actor.
