Not to mention, waitors/waitresses rely on tips as their primary income, and forcing restaurants to pay them more just means that there will be fewer waitors hired.

Um...no...actually. Take it from someone who actually was a witress for years.
Server minimum wage is much lower than regular minimum wage. The tips are supposed to make up the differance. That's why people who don't tip should be kicked in the eye.
