I did not like the show, the entire thing felt like it was a puzzle that the pieces had just been jammed into place so it all did not make sense in the long run...

This finale was so bad that I'm surprised that it didn't exceed DS9's "What You Leave Behind - Part 2" in sheer crap.

^Indeed, DS9, I dare say was one of the best trek series finalies, of not one of the best finalies in a series. I felt depresed at the end (Must have been the DS9 theme remix) but it was still good. I will agree that the Enterprise Finale sucks

DS9 is my favorite ST series. With that said, my opinion of DS9's finale is that it is a complete pile of dung. It sucked.
Out of all the ST series, Voyager's finale was the best and there's no close 2nd.

I have to agree with Morphy. ENT's finale was a huge let down. I also got the feeling that the writers and producers just hacked out whatever came to mind just so that they could pack up go. Trips death was stupid and senseless except that it provided T'Pol a great mourning scene. It was the only one that had any emotional impact and I suspected (Blalock) was actually mourning that the series should end so dreadfully.
Enterprise was just beginning to mature, as any series does, when it had it's plug pulled. And yes, Voyager's last EP was very well done and brought the series to a more than satisfying conclusion.
Having cut my teeth as a teenager on the origional Startrek, it's hard to conceive that the epoc is over. Thank you Gene for enriching my life.

Yeah, Normally, I wouldnt bump an old topic, but there are some things I wanted to say, and I figured by now you probably have seen the episode, and if you havent,
SPOILER ahead
If you dont care *shrugs* read on...
What is there I can REALLY say?.....
Ok, six years in to the future? *Groan* so not only do you see how it ends, but NOW, it's "Canon" that the chars didnt grow anymore! I mean I can remember a Trip/T'Pol converstation in the shuttlepod. It's quite clear despite refernces to "being close" that after Terra Prime and before TATV, that they grew apart, so insulting and sad! what about what they went though in Deamons and Terra Prime? It's quite clear from the dialogu, that these two characters, and others, did NOT grow between 2155 and 2161, how sad....
Trip Dying? *Groan* puh lease. This is the man who almost died of being cooked by a sun? Rescued the ship when the ferengi boarded it? It was just to...odd. I mean, there has been plenty of times where it looked like it was the end and trip was like "Whats that? *Alien looks, trip knocks alien on rear* "Got ya...." (Ok, so not literitly, but watchers of the show know what I am saying hopefully)
Eh, I cant go on yet, I will say this more:
I hate this episode, the chars feel weak to me, under developed. I'm not one to "decanonize" stuff, but guess what? I am willing to with this episode, like other fans, I say I may go the rout cnsidaring Terra PRime the last episode of the series.
The pros of this episode? Like mentioned before T'Pol in mourning, this was the ONLY sign that things were the way the should be, look at the laast few eps of enterprise, before TATV, T'Pol and trip were CLOSE....
END rant for now....

I just saw it very recently and I would say:
It Sucked.
I think they had a couple of things going on in the episode, I also think it was pretty interesting how Riker was viewing the Enterprise's last mission...but I don't think they should have used that as a last episode. Also that mission with the andorian...could they have come up with a more lame last mission for the end of a series? Come on people your supposed to go out with a big bang...instead we get a hour...and HOUR...of a very lame plot.

It was a good standalone, but for a final ep., a mess.

The only reason why that epsiode was crappy is because the budget for the show was obvilously being cut long before that and they just ran out of money. I bet you if the truth ever came out the writers would say they had a different finale in mind but budget restrictions forced them to use this story.

It could have been worse, they could have just stopped it and been no ending to enterprise.
At least they tried something.

Bumping this dead-for-three-years thread. *BUMP*
So, I bought all of the Enterprise DVDs, not knowing what the heck it was about. All I knew was that it was Star Trek, and that was enough for me. I thought it was going to be awful though. "Handsome captain with Vulcan science officer on the Starship Enterprise, exploring new life and new civilizations." Sounded all too familiar to me.
Anyways, I REALLY got into it. I mean, I was spending HOURS a day watching the episodes. Heck, I re-watched some of the episodes. I thoroughly enjoyed it. I didn't want it to end.
BUT IT ENDED. "These Are The Voyages..." finalled came up on the beginning credits, and I nearly cried. I thought they could at least make it good, you know? It was the end. They should make it good.
THAT LAST EPISODE WAS TEH CRAPPIEST THING I'VE EVER SEEN.
First of all, it was pretty much focusing on the Next Generation crew! (And focusing even more on Riker and Troi) The grand finale of Enterprise, and they don't even focus on the crew!
Then there was the whole hologram thing. I just couldn't get into the storyline when the ENT WERE on there, because they were holograms in a holoprogram running on a holodeck! They weren't real, so the story didn't seem real, me thinks.
Finally, last but not least; WHO'S BRIGHT IDEA WAS IT TO KILL TRIP OFF? The guy survived everything; and he dies in a self-created explosion? Sure, he died to save his crewmates...but really. That was something that Travis or Malcolm should have done; not my dear Trip.
The ONLY thing I liked about this episode was the last few minutes; T'Pol mourning, the whole speech thing. That was pretty good, but it would have been better if Trip was there. And it would have been REALLY REALLY better if it was actually happening, and wasn't just a holoprogram.
I'm done with my ranting.
They seriously need to make an ENTERPRISE movie, just to fix the ending.

I say "Live Long and Prosper".
Then you say "Peace and Long Life".
It's the way of life.
Don't deny it.
LOVE IT.
OR DIE.

I remember watching the episode and thinking at the end "Was that it!?"
It was such an awful episode and the ending made me feel like the cast had walked of set and the producers quickly needed anyone to wrap it up.
