I thought there was a topic about this already, but I didn't find it. Anyways, the movie will be released in a little under a month (August 9th I believe). The trailer is on the movie's website.

There was one, but that pretty much turned into a Flight 93 topic, so I think a new one is wise.

From FoxNews.com:

First Look at Oliver Stone's 'World Trade Center'
By Roger Friedman

Six weeks ago, I told readers of this column about seeing the first half hour of Oliver Stone's "World Trade Center" at the Cannes Film Festival.

It was a sneak peek, but I predicted that Stone had made an excellent movie about the Sept. 11 tragedies based on what we saw that night.

Is it shot from "inside the towers"? Because that would be truly frightening and effective.

I believe we may see some of the inside of the towers, albeit dramatized, but I'm not sure.

Well in the trailer, they're inside one of the towers as it collapses.

Yeah, it looks like much of it will take place inside it. It looks like it'll be an intense movie (though probably not as intense as Flight 93, but then again, maybe not) and a must-see. It also looks to be well-done.

You can find a video interview with Friedman here, if anyone's interested, just to let you all know.

I'm just kind of pissed that Nicolas Cage is in it. He probably wanted to have his character save the world or something. He's too commercial. At least with United 93 they made an attempt to make it seem real with all the unknown actors and stuff. And I don't like Nicolas Cage.

I've only seen him in one movie that I can recall--that being National Treasure--and I see no problem with him or having him be in this movie, though I do like Flight 93's attempt at getting unknown actors for the roles.

I agree with Sam Kenobi. Nicolas Cage is really annoying. The film would feel more real if they had chosen lesser or unknown actors.

Hmm... too bad National Treasure sucked, especially since we could all guess that the "treasure" would be "love" from the beginning. What a kicker.

I liked it too. My Law teacher played the movie during class toward the end of last school year. I think Nicolas Cage is cool, especially in Con Air.

Nicholas Cage's acting always seems the same in every movie, like he can't relate to any of the characters, nor get into the roles. However, I don't think that he's really all that bad of an actor. I'll probably go see this.

Yes! Con Air was a great movie! I think Nicolas Cage is okay. I didn't see Flight 93, and I haven't seen any previews yet for World Trade Center.
