Terror in India leaves scores dead

Do a little research, going back to the days of Gandhi, and you'll understand why there is conflict between Muslims (particularly Pakistan) and Hindus (the main religion of India). Research Kashmir, for instance. This attack is not surprising to me, although it is horrible.
Also, this is a global war on terror, so another country being involved doesn't surprise me either.

There was a whole thing with Sikhs about 10 or so years back as well. You used to be targeted as a terrorist for wearing a turban.

And the whole fighting over the Cashmere region would be enough to prompt this attack.

According to Fox News, the attack has the tell-tale signs not of Kashmiri rebels, but rather of Al Qaeda terrorists. There is ample historical context, however, for an Al Qaeda attack there, so I wouldn't be surprised if that were the case.

I suppose it is closer to Afghanastan than most people think.

They didn't have to think all that hard either. The trains in India are totally overcrowded. People ride them inside and out.

I just remembered, I think my friend's mother is in India at the mo, I better go contact him.

Yes, you should. I hope my cousin is okay in Chicago, where there was just an incident that occurred there, breeding a number of casualties. Unfortunately only Fox is covering it, but I'll post an article when it becomes available.

And yeah. Try this. Al Qaeda, in England? Al Qaeda, in Australia? Al Qaeda, in the US? Al Qaeda, in Spain?
Proximity to Afganhistan is irrelivent when it comes to a world-wide terrorist network like Al Qaeda. Consider the historical contexts of India, Pakistan, Islam, Hinduism, terrorism, and a number of other things. If this is an Al Qaeda attack I wouldn't be surprised. It is not illogical to form such a conclusion.

I guess terrorism is everywhere nowadays. And the police would be less afraid of doing something about it if they didn't get abuse whenever they try to do something and it goes wrong. But when the police follow up something everyone's like "You're invading people's privacy just because they're Asian!" and when they don't do anything (police had intelligence reports about July 7th before it happened) everyone freaks out and starts accusing them of not doing their job. I do feel sorry for those who are actively fighting terrorism nowadays.

Yeah. Sadly they're caught between a rock and a hard place.
But yes, this is a global war on terror. This is another reason why I call it World War Three, but we need not go into that debate again.
The point is that this is a global war, and there will be attacks and plots of attacks across the country. This war began, I would say, in 1992, when bin Laden declared war against the US.
