I saw this today, it was pretty good and I guess I enjoyed it.

You can't really compare it to the original, calling it a remake. I'd say it was more a different telling of the same story

I thought that this was a pretty good movie. Some of it was rather similar to the original, and yeah, some was different.

Anywho, it was more based on suspence than actual fear, and that's good in a movie. The only thing that annoyed me was that Julia Style's acting wasn't really all that great. Maybe it was because of all the soliloquys she had. Overall, I thought it was well made.

I just felt that there were many moments in the movie where it felt cut short, especially in the zoo. There were moments when you expected it to be more frightening or explicit and it wasn't.
The dream sequences would have worked better if we had seen the family bathroom before the sequence. I found it a little confusing and distracting because I didn't know they were dreaming.

From what I've seen and read its almost the same as the original. Whats the point. I wont be seeing it.

A pointless remake.

Yeah I agree with CJ Cregg.. It is just pointless and it doesn't look good to me. I don't even like the actress. So, I won't be wasting Charlie's money to go see it.

I've seen pointless remakes. I haven't even seen this one yet, and what I have heard, is that its not a 'pointless remake' but we each have our own opinions. My father, Sister, and I are gonna go see it next sat (supposedly) I shall make my judgement then.

Saw it. Disliked it. Won't Recommend it.

Not much that I can really say other than that...

It didn't fulfil the potential it had, which was disappointing, because it had the ability to be an excellent retelling. Too much of it was rushed, the acting was ropey in places and there were plot holes and moments where you thought "Why didn't he just..."
Take the kid to the hairdressers and ask for an all over shave, for pete's sake, and then you won't get a loony with a croquet raquet after you.

The other first nanny was better too, with her delievery of the "Look at me Damian! It's all for you!" lines.

I haven't seen the orginal movie but i saw the movie today and i thought is was terrible... Just a bad horror movie as the most of them that are made these days... still prefere the japanse ones most... HollywoodHorrors are just bad...

Little review:
There were no things that were new to horror... not one of our (at least my) fears were not put in... The last hollywoodhorror that i liked was the blair witch project one...
Because of it felt real.... And you didn't see what... and I think is what fears us most... The fear of the unknown...

And that's what i disliked most about the omen... Seen it all nothing new and not scary... And the believe in god thing... We'll to put it most nicely... Believe causes more trouble than it gains...

Maybe someone can relate to this all...

I get what you're saying, about how not knowing what's coming to kill you is scarier than Damien.

The original looked WAY too much like my brother.
