Well, being inside the sphere wan't the reason it got destroyed so easily. The transphasic torpedo's can destroy the sphere from the outside just as easy. 2 shots for a Borg Cube, 1 shot for a sphere i would think.

But just like Voyager2004 says, thats the way its a fact.

No, it wasn't behind it, it was inside it. Its a fact. Btw, a Borg ship doesn't have shield that protects the Outer hull.

i guess in the long run the Sphere didn't really expect Voyager too go inside. It could well be that the Sphere understood it could not Destroy Voyager, at least not untill it reached its destination. So when Voyager headed inside the Sphere the Borg must have thought it would be an advanctage for them too have the Ship inside so they could destroy it.

Just a speculation.

The borg obviously wanted voyager to go inside it, mostly because you see the sphere open its doors to allow voyager to enter it!!!!!!!

^ This is true too.
I don't have my EF2 game with me, so I can't go check up on it to make sure I'm correct, but I think I remember some type of explanation as to why they wanted Voyager inside. I don't remember, but as soon as I get my game back, I'll check up on it and let you all know.

Sometimes, great shows are so great they don't make sense.
However, no, I can't say I was confused!

Perhaps they tractored it inside. or at least they wanted too, but stopped when they realised voyager went inside voluntairly.

^^^Or maybe Voyager only went inside voluntarily b/c they realized the only way to make it to the Alpha Quadrant without being destroyed was inside the sphere protected by the outer hull of the sphere. Then they knew that from within the sphere they could destroy it. I mean...even with a normal photon torpedo...I think that if they were to hit the correct junction or whatever inside the sphere, that they could destroy the sphere with only one shot...but the enhanced weapons just made it better.

The transphasic torpedo's destroyed Cubes with just 2 shots, i don't think a sphere would have been a problem. Voyager is stronger then a Sphere, especially with armor and transphasic topredo's.

But a niice possibility, that they went inside the sphere to protect themselves from the collapsing conduit.

They did went in voluntarely, i'm positive of that but the exact reason would always be a mystery.

Its eighter too evade the sphere for whatev reason or to protect themselves from the collapsing conduit.

I think we got cheated. Okay so Voyager did make it home, I was never in doubt of that. But couldn't we have seen them in their future lives on earth? We did in the beginning but that reality doesn't exist anymore.

How about this for a new ending - Voyager doesn't get back to earth and everyone realizes that home is right there on Voyager.

We got to blame Berman and Braga for screwing up Star Trek... There's no more trek due to them. They messed up Voyager and Enterprise.

PERFECTLY said. I thought that Voyager should have returned only to find a VERY different Federation that they had left. A Federation much more militiristic, broken, and battered from the Dominion war. This new Federation tries to decommision the ship and send them in various postings and the crew come to realize that VOY was their home. Hell, even Harry Kim, who was obsessed with getting home, realized that in "Endgame".

Not to mention, the glaring plot hole. Janeway goes back in time to save CERTAIN crew members? What about the others who died? What about going back just a few weeks/months back and saving Joe Carey? Didn't he have a family? I guess that didn't matter to Janeway.

Another plot hole is-why did the temporal Federation allow her to do that?

Or its just a plot hole that ENT and VOY shouldn't have kept pushing.

ENT never pushed it per se, You noticed how soemone from the future rarely did the work? I did find that interesting though.... BAH

ENt didn't push it? Half the show was about the temporal war. I liked the idea of a temporal war and a temporal Federation, but in the grand scheme of things, it made absolutely no sense. In VOY, they didn't do the work either. They had Seven of Nine try to alter things. Why didn't they interefe when TOS Enterprise went back in time? What about TNG? What about DS9? It was such a bad inclusion, cause in the end, it made no sense in comparison to the other shows. That isn't the topic though... I'd make another topic, but no one would post in it. You do, so you're a good person.

I just don't understand why they wouldn't stop Janeway. Not to mention, what about the many other species that would have benifitted from running into VOY? How many lives WONT be saved now thanks to Admiral Janeway?

- Why Thank You!

Look at these people, Starfleet and Maquis, Borg and other odd alien's obtained through the series. All so different, most sworn enemies at one point in time and look at them now! They are a family. As Janeway said in "Year of Hell pt 1"
- "I'm not breaking up the family, Chakotay."

- So True. After all of that time, about being so careful with the prime directive, not letting people like Q 'blink' them home - and such. Suddenly she's going to screw up the timeline for three people.

Timeless & Year of Hell were much better timeline episodes.

I agree completely. There didn't seem to be any complications with having a Maquis and the Borg being onboard the ship. All is forgiven I guess.

Thats another good point. Janeway was not willing to sacrifice personal beliefs or morals or break the rules to get them home earlier. Suddenly, she does that? As I said before, what happened to the species that they affected later on?

- Janeway's become Annorex. Erasing timeline after timeline for 200 years in order to restore the life of his love. In her case going back in time w/new tech to save the life of Chakotay, Seven and keep Tuvok's sanity.

I agree. I dont see why the VOY or Janewya fans like this depiction of her. Its complete lunacy.

She changed...over the years. And with the guilt and such of everything that happened and then to find out that the way that you told Harry Kim you weren't going to explore was THE WAY HOME, that would put alot of weight on someone's shoulders...

Yep, agree completely...

Now, as for not saving other crewmembers, yeah, that's debateable...but at the same time, those other crewmembers weren't the reappearing cast every week for 7 years...
