|
First, it's funny and entertaining. Shatner is funny narrating and hosting it--quite funny, lol.
Second, it's informative. You learn about the million ways Trek changed the world, such as how cell phones wouldn't have been invented without a man seeing Trek on TV, Quicktime wouldn't have been developed were it not for this one Apple developer who saw Data access tons of songs just by ordering the computer, how people are working towards becoming more like the Borg (literally), and things like that.
So, have any of you guys seen this? The encore presentation is happening right now as we speak on the History Channel. If you haven't seen it, well...look for it in the future. It's kinda cool.

I haven't seen it myself yet but I believed he and Trek helped changed the world. I will however try to check it out when it is on again, preferably late night when I watch everything good...otherwise my parents hog the night time TV

Yeah, I watched it rerun on the History Channel and I thought that it was pretty funny and interesting. That whole thing with that guy with the chips in the skin for being more "Borg" like was kind of scary...William Shatner was pretty funny though.

saw it didn't think much of it. Some cheesy 2nd rate acting from Shatner (as usual) and all I got from it that a couple of ST fans invented the Cell Phone, some laser tool for medical uses, and helped along the computer.
Also I don't buy Shatner's explination of why they named the doc. using his name.
