|
So, this girl who plays WoW (World of Warcraft) dies in real life, and her friends decide to hold a memorial for her in-game. A guild called Serenity Now gets word, and slaughtered every player at the funeral hostile to their guild, ie, any Horde players. Whats your opinion?
My personal take is, I applaud their actions. The memorial was held on obvious PVP territory, in a hotly contested zone. There were no guards at the memorial, and they were begging for an attack. SN did what they had to encourage PVP, which is dying on their servers.

I watched this video and I think this is ridiculous. They should have at least some respect to leave them alone. On my server, we have alliances between Alliance and Horde guilds just for this purpose... so if someone wants to hold something like this, they can let other alliance guilds know or horde guilds know so that they will be left alone.
Same concept with the Scourge Invasion right now on Gurubashi... we specifically deem certain areas for Horde and Alliance so we don't have idiot gankers running around being stupid and killing everyone. We figure, PvP is for Battlegrounds and when you're wandering alone in the middle of nowhere in a PvP flagged zone.

I'm sure that if people actually know what any of that means, then they can follow along and respond just fine without the video. I'm therefore removing the link due to the extreme language.

If SN knew that this was a memorial (which is sounds to me like they did know), I think they should have left them alone. Yes, true, it probably should have been held in a friendly zone, but just think. If it had, the extremely noobish General Chat posts would have been popping up every second. It'd kind of ruin the entire moment.
Also, if it's OK with the mods, could you PM me the link to the movie?
