(OOC: Aia has her own way of organizing things. It doesn't matter how orderly Julianna is, she'd find it repulsive. And as far as Aia is concerned, she's back in her arena. Number one lesson, you can't take anything Aia says or does as being from me. This is her. Not me. I have no control over what she says or does, only that I'm the one who does the reading here. And Andy, sorry... I was just reading the stuff from the shuttle at the time. I should know better than to do that. )

DSG, Sickbay

Aia's retort was cut off by Ian's presence and less-than-slight reprimand. Her temper flared in Julianna's direction, and she had to take a very long, very deep breath to keep it to herself. "Aye, sir."

(Its ok Exalya, it happens. )

-DSG, Sickbay-

He turned around, motioning for Aia to come with him. As soon as they made their way out into the corridor, Ian checked to see if it was empty and then looked back at her.

"Why?" He asked, "Why did you leave with Fito? Did he take you by force? Did you go willingly? What happened?"

Aia fell into step beside Ian, lacing her fingers behind her back. Her face was flushed with still-boiling anger, it was virtuous that she could contain any of it. She closed her eyes, licking her lips. "I didn't want to go. I had to go. I went because of you." She looked over at him, pleading with him silently to leave it alone. "All of you. I went for the Federation, not for him. I never betrayed what I stand for. You can check with anyone you want... I can assure you that I've been protected. Whether or not you take me back is up to you. I'm still within my rights to wear this uniform and maintain my position."

"The hell you are!" He said.

Ian began to pace in front of her, a habit he always had when he was angry.

"Damnit Aia!" He said, "I know the truth. I know you willingly joined Fito but I...I don't know why. I know that you and I didn't know each other that well but... I knew that you cared about people, didn't want to hurt them..."

He had considered her a friend, before he knew the truth. Now, he didn't know what he considered her as.

Aia's hand clenched into fists. The anger towards the Federation, towards Fito, even towards Julianna, was too much. She sucked breath through her teeth, trying to ignore the tears brimming in her eyes. She glared at him openly, unafraid.

"What else do you want me to tell you? I can't explain everything to you, Ian! Do you understand that? I do care about people. I went through so many months of hell with a man I once called mentor. Fito's insane, you think I don't see that? Do whatever you want, transfer me off this...this..." She seethed, "station. If I've lost your trust I don't need to be here. But I worked damn hard to stay alive all this time. I've seen more than you might ever see, even in battle, so I could save you and everyone else who wears this uniform. I don't need you to tell me what I did and did not do. I know what I've done. That will always--" She paused, relaxing a little and angrily wiping her eyes. When she looked at him again the same intensity was there, but without the malice. "That will have to be enough for me. I won't tell you again that I've been cleared of all charges and reinstated. That's as much explanation on that end as you'll need, and as much as you'll ever have."

Ian stared at her, unable to speak immediatly. He had no idea that she been reinstated and he had no idea what she meant about how she left with Fito FOR the Federation.

"You what the worst part of it is?" He asked, staring into her eyes, "I do still trust you, I just don't know why...."

Aia bit her lip, closing her eyes and leaning against the wall. Her fingers traced idle, lazy patterns over the cool metal. "Maybe you're just more intuitive than you realize," she said softly. She didn't know what there was to say any more. The decision was his. He could do anything she wanted with her... and for once, she was willing to surrender to someone else. She tensed, expecting the worse, but didn't dare raise her head.

Romulan Battle Cruiser TKere

TRell approached the ops console. Are we within 5 light years?

Yes sir.
and the cloak is stable?
The ops officer nodded. TRell placed the apparatus on his head and attempted to contact Kiris Ditex.

Kiris Ditex- Unconscious Active Thought

Kiris felt a presence in his mind. It was trying to contact him. It was the person whod contacted him before. Without being conscious Kiris wouldnt be able to respond. He felt so powerless. Kiris felt the presence withdraw. NOOO!!!

Ian sighed, thinking about what to do with her. He did still trust her and probably always would. She didn't strike him as "evil" and being with Fito was probably literally hell for her. The amount of information she could offer to the Federation could change the fate of this war. It was almost as if she was a Godsend. She was also a friend...

"Computer," He said, "Reinstate all of Lieutenant Shoran's command codes. Authorization Xavier-Gamma-01. Welcome back...doctor."

He felt a sting of pity for Julianna, the chief medical officer that had replaced Aia. She was very nice, if not a little too forward. She had also done a tremendous job, filling shoes that was not easy to fill. Hopefully, some compromise could be worked out.

"While you maybe the doctor once more," He said, "Doctor Roberts has not been relieved as of yet. You would do well to look over the information she has accumulated since you left and tried to work with her until she decides what she wants to do."

"I..." Aia squirmed, rising and looking back up at the Captain, sighing deeply. "Thank you, sir. Anything I can do..." She shrugged, leanding out a hand. "Let me know."

Ian took her hand gently and shook it.

"Thank you doctor," He said, "Good to have you back. Its starting to feel like the old days all over again..."

-DSG, Sickbay-

Frella rushed towards Julianna, pulling her towards Kiris, who lay in a biobed.

"Doctor!" She yelled, "I'm reading heightened neural activity in the patient. His condition is deteriorating."

Aia nodded, wincing a little and taking on her usual confident stance. "I'm afraid we'll never really be able to go back to those days. Fito really was a good man once, sir. I don't claim to know what happened to him, but he's gone. As much as if we'd had a formal funeral, we'll never see him again... I've known that for a long time. He did teach me a lot, even if I wasn't on his side. I'm the only person on this station who really knows how to take him on."

Juliana, who had the EMH remove the cosmetic alterations, before she was dragged away to the Romulan/Human patient. Apparently, as Nurse Frella had said, the man, Kiris Ditex, the Assistant Chief Engineer, was unconscious, with hightened neural activity. Nurse Frella had said that his nerves were literally detaching themselves from the brain.

Juliana, who had done a thesis on the use of Borg nanoprobes and their medical purposes, while in the Academy, considered the use of the Borg nanoprobes, to reconnect the nerves. Kiris' former doctor had considered the operation, as well. However, Starfleet Medical had ruled against it, years ago. She would have to find another way...

"Get me a cortical inhibitor!" Juliana shouted at the nurse.

Romulan Battle Cruiser TKere

Helm, get us out of here.
Course setting sir?
Home.

The Helmsman set the course and took the ship to warp.

Problem sir?
The Admirals son didnt respond.
Any idea why?
Its possible theyve discovered the Synaptic Tranciever and had it removed. Its also possible that hes been injured. If He wasnt conscious he couldnt respond.
Are you sure he wasnt sleeping?
Yes, the transceiver is designed to wake him if he was sleeping. I tried that. He must have been sedated or behind a force field of some kind.

TRell went back to the middle of the bridge and sat in his chair. Admiral NTran wouldnt be happy about this.

Frellis handed Julianna a cortical inhibitor. She rushed over and activated the "clamp" for the biobed. The device lifted up and closed two feet over his body. She was surprised to see a problem with the Human/Romulan hybrid. Usually, this did not happen. He was obviously some kind of a special case. She began to run scans, trying to determine what they could do about his situation.

-DSG, Corridor-

Ian slowly nodded his head, remembering his fight with Fito on the holodeck. He had lost to the fiendish being and thanks to Aurora's sacrifice, he was saved.

"If that is the case," He told Aia, "Then all our hopes lie on you."

Juliana snatched the cortical inhibitor out of the Bolian nurse's hand and pressed the device to the side of the Romulan/Human hybrid's head and activated the device. The cortical inhibitor worked, instantly. Juliana placed the device back on a nearby tray, before she looked over to Nurse Frella, who was currently running scans on their patient.

"His neural activity should have dropped. As a result, most of his memories should be repressed, as well. I believe that he is dreaming. That would explain the hightenened neural activity. His dreams should stop, for now...if I'm right. We'll need to keep the inhibitor handy. Just in case his neural activity rises, again." Juliana explained to the Bolian, before walking over to examine Nurse Frella's console. "How is he?" Juliana asked, softly, while examining the console, herself.

Nurse O'Harra was sitting at another console running every possible scan on his head. No matter what, even temporal scans. She detected something rather strange in one of her scans, something that would never ship up normally. Nurse Frella, meanwhile, was standing over the clamp of the biobed and looked up at Julianna.

"He is stable doctor," She reported, "But I'm detecting minor damage to his neural pathways. We can repair it, but if this happens again? He'll die."

O'Harra walked over to Julianna.

"Doctor," She said, "I was running a scan and detected something very strange. There is a device...not organic or natural in origin, inside of his brain. It has some kind of dampening device, thus preventing normal scans from finding it. I had to do several cellular level scans and detected it latched onto his brain."

She handed her a PADD with a picture of it.

"Its Romulan in origin ma'mn." She reported.

Frella looked at the officer in shock.

"You think hes a Rommie spy?" She asked, paranoid.

Juliana examined the PADD, for a moment, before looking up at the two nurses. She simply shook her head.

"No, I don't think that he is a Romulan spy. However..." Juliana sighed, folding her arms across her chest and turning around to look at the unconscious man. "There is something...peculiar...about this man. Kiris Ditex, was it?" Juliana asked herself, before turning around, to face the two nurses. She handed the PADD back to Nurse O'Harra. "I haven't a clue what this...device, is. Maybe you should bring that to an engineer. An engineer would have a better idea as to what that device is than I would. I am not a very...technical person." Juliana suggested, before turning to face Nurse Frella. "Nurse? I have to make a few calls. I would like for you to watch the patient. I'll be in my office. Inform me if anything changes in his condition." Juliana ordered, before nodding to the two nurses and entering her office.

Once inside her office, Juliana made her way to her desk and sat down at the chair. Juliana activated the computer and opened a channel to Starfleet Medical...

"Hello, this is Doctor Juliana Roberts, of Deep Space Guardian. I need to speak with the head of Starfleet Medical. Now, please."

"Romulan"

T'Sa stood, her hair was back, her ears were in normal shape, but some of her skin tone was still altered..

"It's, Romulan."

T'Sa steped over to the group.

She looked at the face of the patient. She sighed internaly, and decided to go find Ian and Aia, she was still partialy altered, but in order to prevent mishaps with...Roberts. T'Sa headed for the door and went out into the corridor.

The screen simply showed the UFP symbol while the message was being sent across subspace. After a few moments, Starfleet medical finally answered. A lieutenant appeared on the screen, the Starfleet Medical insignia, hanging off the wall.

"This is Lieutenant Allen Carey," He said, "Can I help you?"

Juliana sighed a sigh of relief, after her transmission was finally answered.

"Ah, hello, Lieutenant Carey. Yes, you can help me. I'm Lieutenant Juliana Roberts of Deep Space Guardian. I need to speak with a certain Commander Hayes, immediately. It's important." Juliana replied, solemnly.

Lieutenant Carey nodded and then checked his computer.

"He is available," He said, "Please hold momentarily."

He got out of his seat and left for several minutes, leaving Julianna to wait. Finally, the familiar form of commander Hayes appeared.

"Julianna?" He asked, surprised to hear from her.

Juliana smiled at the familiar form of Commander Hayes. She had gone to the Academy with him. He was a few years older than her. Still, they had been close friends, ever since their Academy days.

"Jack!" Juliana exclaimed, happy to see her old friend. She hadn't seen or spoke with the man in over two years. "How have you been? You look like you gained a little weight..." Juliana joked.

Romulan Battle Cruiser TKere

Bring us out of warp.
Aye sir, dropping out of warp.
Sir, Admiral NTrans Warbird has been joined by three other ships.
Whos are they?
Ill give you two guesses but you should only need one.

TRell sighed. Not her again.
How many checkups this month now?
To many.

TRell transported to Admiral NTrans Warbird. There were other guards outside the admirals quarters in addition to his regular guards.

TRell approached the door. Two of the new guards who stood as frigid as and Andorian winter suddenly moved forward. The Admiral is in a meeting. You can wait here.

I dont think hell mind.
We have orders, no one is to go through these doors.
Who gave the orders?
General Sela.

TRell went and sat in a chair not far away.

Admiral NTrans quarters

the tenth time this month.
Am I to understand I have to check with you before I make reviews of vessel movement and tactical data?
Normally it wouldnt matter, what does matter is the frequent reviews. Youve made several in the past month and I get the distinct feeling you were trying to hide them from me.
What ever gave you that impression?
Security bypasses and I have recovered deleted access logs.
Im sure youve done the same thing General.
Were not talking about me.
Im not sure what logs youve recovered but Im certain they arent mine.
Ill be watching you Admiral, very closely.
Im sure you will.

Sela straitened up. Jolan'tru.
Jolantru.

Sela left the admirals quarters and transported back to her ships which left the area shortly after.

TTrell stood up and entered the Admirals quarters.

Shaoi dan.
Shaoi dan.
Its been awhile since you used the old greeting.
We to often forget our ways sir.
Yes I suppose we do.
What did she want this time?
Checking up on us again.
I have some disturbing news.
What is it?
I couldnt contact Kiris.
Why?
Unknown sir. The only thing I can think of would be damage caused by that Transceiver.
The Transceiver couldnt cause brain damage.
Not if it was installed by an actual physician.
What do you mean?
I mean you should have just had a doctor do it. Youve always been to proud to ask for help sir.
I asked you to stay and help me with the final preparations.
I stayed because I owe you my allegiance and because you need support. I didnt stay because you asked me. I stayed because I knew youd need me.

NTran thought about it. His son may be dying because of his carelessness. He had to see him as soon as possible. NTran stood up.
Ready the fleet, were joining our brethren at Elerra Prime.

Hayes laughed and patted his stomach, some of which potruded through his uniform, creating a bulge.

"Yeah yeah yeah," He laughed, "I sit around and do reports all day, what can I say. Unlike someone I know who chose to leave Federation space. I bet you get a lot of excercise running away from Nautolians and Romulans."
