I don't consider them a credible news source, I'm just saying that they're less...deceptive (I'm trying to come up with a word that fits, and deceptive sounds too vile, but it's the closest I can come up with at the moment). The regular news programs pretend that they're unbiased. The Daily Show and the Colbert Report don't they take the regular news and poke fun at them. In the process they cover similar news stories.
If I want credible news I'll go to a written source - my favorite right now (emphisizing the "right now") is BBC. That way there is less inflection with how the news is presented, and I can reread and double check the facts as well as cross reference it with other articles.
And as to the above comment: My sister watches Degrassi

Oh! And how could I forget about
Dead Like Me?
I love that one. Yet another show that was cancelled before it's time. Actually, Sam, I don't watch Degrassi. At least not regularly. I'm poor and don't have cable. I only see it once in a blue moon.

That's a'ight. I think that shows... become favorites depending on mood and who you're with. I just watched 5 episodes of Scrubs withj my parents because they wouldn't go to bed. So... it's not really at the top anymore.

Oh my! I almost forgot to mention that on my list. Definite addition for me, although not so much The Daily Show, it isn't that good anymore. It would be A LOT better if it had just Stewart, and not the others. Colbert is king though.

Boston Legal I think would be my current favorite. William Shatner and Candice Bergen are greatness.
