Well, i've just seen X3: the last stand.

I think the movie stinks. Big time.

A lot of it is wrong with it and it didn't feel like watching a movie at all.

Here's a list of things gone wrong:

Cyclops, Xavier and Jean are dead, no nightcrawler, Juggernaut is weird and dull(I'm the juggernaut bitch? Was that serious?), Wolverine is weird and dull(he isn't as renegade and agressive as he should be, he's more like a leader), Jean is weird and dull(the phoenix a second personality? Please, that so dull), why was Kitty pryde so good in combat without training?, Rogue has lost her powers, Magneto has lost his powers, Mystique has lost her powers. Where are the sentinels?

Sure its a movie, but they could have made the ending a whole lot better. They should have made a series with these actors instead of 3 movies.

nope, a definit Flop.

I saw it thursday, it was allright. I never read the comics. I read what was supposed to happen in this topic, and it's a shame they didn't really follow the book, imo.
I still liked it, the special effects were fun.

I loved Jean's face when she turned into Phoenix, I though that was really well done.

What's about that scene after the credits? Was there another one after that scene with Magneto? Can someone tell me what happened?

There is a scene after the credits finish...

Quote:
It shows Dr. Moira Mctaggert(sp?) near the comatose body that was depicted earlier. The body suddenly moves and says "Moira..." and her eyes widen and she says "Charles...." This of course implies that Charles tranfered his consciesness into the comatose body, like he said was possible during the class. BTW? In the comics, Moira and Charles had a thing, which is how she recognized his voice in the other body.

This movie was mediocre and the worst part?

Riight.. Thanks Founder! Now I understand..

But that would mean there would be another movie after this one. Or was that the plan all along?

And about the last thing you said; Yeah I assume that was different in the comic?

There might be another movie after this one, I'm not sure. They seem to imply it. It all depends on box office numbers...

I'm not sure. I know that Cyclops never died in the comics, so that is different. In fact, in the comics, Jean killed her self because she couldn't stand hurting Cyclops as the Phoenix...

Did you play X-Men: The Official Game at all? I think there is some tying information in there that can tie some loose ends between X2 and X3...including the sentinels!

I myself haven't seen the movie yet, but will see it this Friday and post my full opinion on it then, for now...I can only hope to contradict most of your opinions in my own way, but who knows...maybe I won't and we'll all be not-so-big-fans of X3

I didn't catch the post-credit footage, though I would have liked to; however, I must say that I, personally, thoroughly enjoyed this movie. Yes, it was sad to see that
Quote:
Cyclops died in the beginning, and that good ol' Patrick Stewart had to "die,"

but I'm not a long-time X-Men comic fan, so I'm not going to argue semantics. I enjoyed all three of the movies, more than Harry Potter, and would gladly go see a third, which may, actually, be made, a friend told me, along with, definitely, a Wolverine movie and possibly another movie, of a focus I can't remember.

Anyways, I enjoyed the movie and plan on buying it when it makes its way to stores.

The other movie would be a Magneto focus.

They talked about him in the video game and explained why he wasn't there.

SPOILER FOR THE GAME!

That pissed me off most.

Oh, and calling it XIII is weird, that is the same as 13.

Well, I just saw the movie last night (as I said I would *lol*) and I must say, it was better than some of you guys made it sound. Granted, as some experts or whatever stated, it did lake the emotional compacity that the other movies had, but thus the action was very much improved and I really enjoyed seeing
Quote:
Beast fight as one of the X-Men and the comment he made putting on the uniform.
Also, I agree that what happened in the beginning was sad but Wolverine made the good point sort of tying it together

Anyway, after seeing this movie and the post-credits scene...I'd be excited to see possibly another movie and I think this one was quite entertaining and very fulfilling (not sure what I mean by that).

I had the unfortunate experience of seeing this. There was absoulutely no character development besides the chick with the white/black hair making the choice to get the cure and maybe Mystique changing sides, but that was strained at best.

The only really interesting part was the effects, which were well done. Plus the new Mercedes models. Those were even better than the effects.

I can see why they made this movie the way they did with the storyline, since it was inevitable, but they could at least have made it less cliche, especially towards the end. I mean "'I love you'-- *stab, tears, scream*" How tacky was that.

It was understandable that blah and blah had to die early on, though.

This is probably the only comic book series resurected as films I've been interested in. But I do think 3 is enough even though I've heard about three other films they plan on doing. But I think by then everyone will lose interest in the comic book film craze.

"Resurrected as films"? You make it sound as if the comic book franchise had died-off.

Nice movie, definately gonna buy it on DVD, but they made a couple of big mistakes.

1. Way to many irrelevant mutants instead of using fewer mutants and exploring those more that they did.

2. They didn't use the Cyclops character. He is supposed to be this great leader type, but we only ever saw him in the movies when he shot his eyebeams or when he was trashed by Wolverine.

The good things about the X-Men movies is the casting. With a few exceptions the casting has been briliant.

Famke Janssen: My God that woman is hot. Ever since I saw her in Goldeneye, wearing that tight russian uniform I've had a thing for her.

I just saw it, pretty interesting. Not as bad as I had feared. Could have been better perhaps, but it was still good!
