To me, this is big news. I mean, you have Bill Gates, richest man in the world and one of the most recognizable people in America (in terms of name) who started one of the most influential companies in the world, and he's stepping down from all his responsibilities except for chairman. His reasoning is good, wanting to focus on his foundation, but I was just shocked when I found this news on the site.

Yeah, I'm surprised he didn't do this sooner. When you reach a point where money is no longer an issue, then why bother? Unless of course you truly enjoy your job.

Not surprising. I highly doubt that he's actually been doing day to day buisness for some time. And he's been putting a lot of effort into the Gates Foundation.
