Valandil fired another arrow and readied another as he spoke to Luthien. "(No time for debate, M'Lady)" Valandil swated Luthiens horse on the rear and in reply it grunted and started off down the road. Valandil shot the arrow then took off to follow Luthien, he readied another arrow, and aimed to provide a cover for Valathous and ����d�n.

~ Road / Woods, L��r�nthi� ~

Valathous had been unable to mount his horse for there was a Drow running close behind him. What he had managed to do, though, was cut the reines that had it tied to the tree and yelled at it in Elvish to run, which it did without hesitation.

Valathous ran quickly through the trees on feet. Branches were swinging and other just in the way leaving scrapes across his face as he ran. His horse was a much faster runner, obviously, and emerged from the forest far ahead of Valathous. After several moments he shot through the last of the brush, turned around quickly and threw one of his two hunting knives, hitting the drow that was immediately behind him in the chest. It dropped but only as several more Drow emerge from the forest after him. Valathous drew his other hunting knife but this time weilded it as a sword. Now bearing his sword, Esthysious, and the knife... He was prepared for battle.

Luthien had no choice but to hold on to her horse and continue down the road. She continued down the road a ways before she stopped and dismounted, sitting on the side of the road and taking out a small vial from a pack she was carrying. She poured some liquid into her palm and held it out for her horse, which nickered in thanks and began lapping it up from her hand.

There, Luthien waited for the others, hoping the Drow would not overpower them.

����d�n watched as Luthien was sent down the road. He did not like that at all. Drow could be down there and now she was alone. His attention was drawn back to the forest as Valathous leapt out of it. The Wizard was no where to be found.

"(Where is the wizard?)" He shouted in Elvish.

His fingers gripped the bow and he launched an arrow at a Drow that was approaching the rather tough Thyrak.

~ Road / Woods, L��r�nthi� ~

Valathous was suddenly concerned as it was brought to his attention that Geredar had never emerged from the forest after the Drow began their attack on the party... The Wizard was very powerful, though, and most likely dealing with the Drow conducting the incantations.

Valathous watched as one of the Drow snapped sideways but then collected himself and kept coming after being hit in the shoulder with one of the Elven Prince's arrows. He swung at Valathous who easily guided the swing away then quickly brought his sword and knife back and thrust it into the Drow's stomach. It dropped, leaving it's blood streaked on Valathous' weapons. He turned only to grab the arm of another Drow taking a swing at him, then headbutted him in the face, causing it to fall. Valathous placed his sword on it's throat and sliced.

����d�n was impressed with the way Valathous fought. He was certainly no weakling, but the Drow were too many. The Elf brought his horse closer, while launching arrows, which were running out...

"(Thyrak!)" He yelled, "(Come on!)"

He brought the horse's rear closer to him so he could leap on. Their only chance would be to keep running.

~ Main Road, L��r�nthi� ~

Valathous looked behind him and noticed that the Elf had positioned the horse in such a way that he could be able to jump onto the back if he were to get such an oportunity. Unfortunately with the overwhelming amount of Drow that were present, if he tried to run he would be hit in the back...

Valathous fought the Drow hard... He parried as many attacks as he was able, currently fighting two or the turned Elven warriors. He managed to block the swipe of a sword from one of them and followed through with a right hook to his face, only to duck immediately under the swing of another. As he ducked he extented his leg and swept the feet out from under the drow, then with his hunting knife, he brought his arm up quickly and jammed the blade into the Drow's throat and he fell. Now he had some time to run and took full advantage of this, turning on his heels and bolting in the direction of the Elf and his horse. Once withing a close enough proximity, Valathous lept with all he could and landed on the horse.

"Go!" He yelled at the Elven prince...

[Founder]

-Main Road, L��r�nthi�-

����d�n slapped the reins on the horse's back and cried out.

"Yah!" He yelled.

The horse ran from the approaching Drow, quickly leaving them behind. He could only hope the foul beings would not follow them. As for the wizard, he did not know what happened to him. The man could fallen against the Drow. He shook his head and made his way to Luthien and Valandil.

(He was brave...) He said to Valathous, about the possibly dead Wizard.

Luthien jumped back up onto her horse and reined her in, trotting quietly over to ����d�n as he headed towards her. She handed to him a small container made of leaves and sealed with some sort of balm.

"(this should refresh you.)" She whispered.
