Just saw this. LOL, it was HILARIOUS. Well, most of it, anyways. There were times when I was laughing non-stop. Satire of humans and all that...Yet another children's movie coming out that's definitely worth seeing, and of quality and humor. I highly recommend it. You'll enjoy it.
Plus, it's got William Shatner as one of the main characters. What else could a Trek fan want?

I haven't seen Ice Age 2 yet, actually, but I think it's funnier than Ice Age 1, that's for sure.

I want to go see this (it's only just come out in the Uk). Hopefully it will teach a generation of young people to respect nature more, even if it does it through brainwashing them with humour.

I thought this movie was brilliant! It was really funny AND it increased my hatred of american suburbia.

Well, I can agree and happily accept the humor, because it was funny, but not the suburbia part. Why? Because I live in the suburbs!

It reinforced what I thought I already knew: American suburbs are suburban hell to me. Miles and miles or uninterupted houses, the only way to get around being a car. Destruction of beautiful natural places to make way for new, ineffecient houses. Ick!
See, I wouldn't mind if people had some foresight (and here I'm speaking to all countries, not just america), and when they built new estates, built them with new, efficient, eco friendly houses. Solar panels. Reed bed sewage systems. You get what I'm talking about.

Well, it gives a very jaded view, I would say, for non-Americans like yourself. It was meant as a satire of humans (Americans) and suburbia, not as an accurate representation of it.

I looooved it! Such a great movie. The 'wink' to people's eating habits was great. I loved the characters, they were great. I think it's better than Ice Age 2, yeah.

Wait a sec... why was the squirrel a RED squirrel? You don't get red squirrels in America! You hardly get red squirrels at all any more! Couldn't dreamworks make a grey squirrel?
And the bit where he was hyper and the world stopped was a total steal from the episode of futurama where Fry drinks 300 cups of coffee.
