And some of us soar to the stars
And some of us sail through our troubles
And some have to live with our scars

Definately, Theresa.
Thank you to all those men and women who put their lives on the line every day to make sure that when I wake up in the morning, I can have freedom and safety in my own country. And thank you to all those men and women who have yet to join the military but will eventually serve our country in the years to come!

A good question indeed lionhead...
Happy Memorial Day...
Thank you to all of those service wo/men who have risked their lives in order to defend our freedom and our libirties, I may not agree with what Bush is doing now and what not, but I am still thankful and honoring of our service wo/men both past and/present...
Also, a special thank you to the service wo/men who ended up not seeiong the light of day during wars in order to protect our freedom...you may not have known it then, but its because of you people that we are a free country today.

But what's it about? Cause if I know then I can say whether some other countries might have something different...

Other countries most likely do have one, or at least I would think that they do. Basically, it is on the last Monday of May, and it is in commemoration of those members of the US armed forces killed in war.

Oh, okay, cool... well not cool but ya know.
Here in NZ, and in Australia, we have ANZAC day, it's to commemorate all those who died in Anzac cove on April 25, 1915. Now it's basically for anyone who served in the army and died.
