In the year of 2375, during the Second Battle of Chin'toka of the Dominon War, the U.S.S. Dauntless, a Defiant-class starship, was disabled by the Breen energy dissipator. The Dauntless was subsequently "destroyed" by Dominon weapons...

That is what Starfleet says, anyways.

The truth is that the
Dauntless was NOT destroyed. The powerless ship drifted along in space, leaving the battle. Eventually, the ship was pulled into the atmosphere of one of the four M-class planets in the Chin'toka system; Chin'toka, Chin'toka II, and Chin'toka III, and AR-558. The Dauntless was pulled into Chin'toka III's atmosphere, the planet the furthest away from the battle.

No one knew what had become of the crew of the
Dauntless...Until now.

You will play as one of the ill-fated officers of the
Dauntless, struggling to survive on this planet of Chin'toka III. Your goal...to escape the planet and make your way back to Federation space. But, in order for you to do so, you will have to work together, with the few remaining survivors of the crash, to rebuild the Dauntless from nothing. You will have to live, co-exist, with these people, work with these people to achieve your goal. Things will not be easy. The harsh environment of the planet and the rugged terrain of the planet will not prove to be an ally. Plus, you will have to worry about your fellow crew-members. On Chin'toka III, rank means nothing. It's a free-for-all, in a sense. If you want to live, it will have to be a all-for-one and one-for-all.

What will you do?

It's a fight...for survival...

CHARACTER BIOGRAPHIES

Played By: La Forge
Name: Solia Veta
Age: 37
Sex: Female
Species: Trill (Unjoined)
Homeworld: Trill
Rank: Lieutenant
Position: Security Officer
BIO: Solia Veta was born on the planet of Trill in the year of 2338, to Jaxon and Cornelia Veta. Solia was most certainly a wild child. On Trill, she was constantly getting into trouble. Her parents didn't know what to do with her. Solia moved from one reformatory to the next, in a matter of days. She couldn't stay in one place. Solia had a bad attitude and an even worse personality. She was a mean-hearted girl. Solia had gone through many psychologists, who tried to find out exactly what was wrong with the poor young Trill. However, not one of the psychologists could understand why Solia was the way she was. They concluded that Solia had a mental problem. Eventually, when Solia was 16, her parents had given up on her. Soon afterwards, Solia was kicked out of her last reformatory, to live on her own. Solia managed, for a while, doing odd jobs here and there. At one point, Solia had stooped to such a low, as to be pulled into the illegal drug-dealing curcuit on Trill. With this, Solia's life was literally a living hell. In her few years, Solia had made many enemies and spent many a night in a cold dark jail cell. However, things had changed when Solia met a Andorian Starfleet Captain by the name of Shan ch'Thane. Shan took her under his wing and cared for the young Trill woman, pulling her out of the dark underground. Shan took Solia from Trill and took her back to Earth. With time, Solia had changed. Still, the darkness inside of Solia could never fully disappear. She would continue to live the rest of her life with a creeping darkness in the depths of her soul. But, still...Solia's life had changed for the better, at least. On Earth, Shan had taught Solia how to live. Eventually, Solia, who wanted to follow in Shan's footsteps, decided to join Starfleet. Shan consented, happy to see Solia try and do something with her life. Shan actually put in a good word for Solia. When she was 23, Solia left for Starfleet Academy, passing the entrance exam. At the Academy, Solia studied Security and managed to attain her Level-5 Pilot's License, in the process. Solia graduated from Starfleet Academy, four years later, with flying colors. Still, during her time at the Academy, Solia had made many enemies, with her odd personality. Solia had done everything she could possibly do to make it to the top, even if it meant standing on the head's of her fellow classmates. Despite her peculiar methods, Solia proved to be an excellent officer. With input from Captain ch'Thane, Solia had managed to bypass the rank of Ensign, moving on to Lieutenant, Junior Grade. Solia was assigned to the U.S.S. Firestarter, as the Chief Helm Officer. As many know, the Firestarter was one of the ships involved in the Battle of Wolf 359. The Firestarter was drawn into the battle, with Solia at the helm. Solia was no match for the Borg Cube. Because of a few mistakes on her part, the Firestarter was destroyed. However, Solia and a few others managed to escape via an escape pod. Even though her superiors said that it wasn't her fault that the Firestarter was destroyed, Solia felt that it was her fault. Eventually, Solia succumbed to depression. To make matters worse, Captain ch'Thane, the Captain of the U.S.S. Chekov, her former mentor, had been killed in the massacre. At this, Solia had resorted to her old ways. Solia resigned from Starfleet. Eventually, Solia was back in the underground, again, up to her old tricks. Now, Solia was involved with the black market sales of illegal weapons on Vulcan, one of the most unlikely places to find crime. When the Federation authorites caught wind of these sales, they led a raid on the warehouse where Solia was operating. She was arrested and taken to Earth to face trial. By this time, the Dominion War had began. In need of every troop they could get, the Federation Council decided to force Solia back into Starfleet, as her punishment. Solia was assigned to the U.S.S. Dauntless, as a security officer, with her former rank of Lieutenant. As one could guess, Solia is not all too happy with this decision. Solia is a cold, hard woman who only cares about number one.

Played By: Founder
Name: Earokr
Age: Unknown
Sex: Male
Species: Changelings
Homeworld: Founder homeworld
Rank: None
Position: None
BIO: Born in the Great Link and sent out with 99 other infants to explore the galaxy. He, along with a few others, made it to the Alpha quadrant. Unfortunetly for him, he landed on an uninhabited planet and was forced to grow up with no one to assist him. Earokr mimicked the animals and planet life, not really understanding what he was, but simply enjoying becoming the other life forms. After nearly a decade of solitude on the planet, a ship landed there. It was an Orion pirate ship, landing to hide stolen goods on the planet. Very few knew or even cared about it, so it was an ideal choice to hide things there. Earokr, mimicking a bird, flew onto the ships and watched the solids step out. He had never seen a species like that ever, except for ape like creatures in the jungles. Earokr, taking the form of a tiger like animal, attacked one of the crewman who stood alone, patrolling. He didn't realized that solids were so weak and killed the being. The changeling took the form of the pirate and made his way back to the ship. He killed each crewman, one by one, finding them to be more barbaric than the animals. Earokr threatened the captain with death if he was not taught the ship's computers. It took him years, but he finally was able to access the volumes of stolen databases. He learned about the alpha quadrant. The changeling made his name based off the three major planets. Earth, Romulus, and Kronos. He killed the captain, enjoying the death of the savage solids. Earokr stayed on the ship, learning as much as possible. Eventually, he had a dampening device activated so no one can ever discover the ship and him. He took the form of the dead captain, although not perfectly. No one has come back to the planet....until...the Dauntless.

Location: U.S.S. Dauntless Crash Site - Surface of Chin'toka III - Chin'toka System
Time: 1850 Hours
Crew: 39 Survivors; Original Crew - 81
Casualties: Dead - 34 Wounded - 16 Missing - 8

"Go!" the exhausted-looking Trill woman shouted at the few scattered survivors of the horrible crash. "Go! Go! Go!" the woman continued, saliva flying from her mouth.

This woman was Solia Veta, a security officer aboard the U.S.S. Dauntless, a Defiant-class vessel in Starfleet, with the rank of Lieutenant.

She was still in uniform, seeing as the crash had only happened moments ago, although, her uniform didn't look quite the same. The unifrom was singed, from the intense heat of the nearby flames. The uniform was also dotted with many holes and tears, most likely caused by the jagged metals that were scattered across the landscape; scraps from the smoldering ruin, which was once the U.S.S. Dauntless. Her gold uniform was now red, soaked in deep red blood...This blood was not just her own, either...Much of the blood was that of her fellow crewmates, who had died during that horrible crash, moments ago.

Even though the blood could be easily washed off of the uniform, that blood would never truly go away. That blood would remain in Solia's heart and soul, never to be washed away, completely. That blood was a reminder of those who had died in the crash. That blood would cast a permanent dark shadow over Solia's already darkened heart...never to dissipate.

As Solia ran from the burning wreck of the Dauntless, leading the few remaining survivors away from the crash, she couldn't help but to think of what had led to the crash...

Seventeen moments ago...Aboard the Bridge of the U.S.S. Dauntless

"Fire!" the Human Captain shouted at the Novan Tactical Officer.

Seconds later, a series of phaser blasts soared away from the starship--the U.S.S. Dauntless, to be exact--towards the Jem'Hadar Fighter. Seconds after that, the Jem'Hadar vessel exploded, into a ball of flame. The attack had been succesful.

"That's one down..." the Captain--Captain Galen Tyrol--muttered to himself, under his breath. "But, there'll be many more to come." he continued.

Suddenly, an officers called out to the Captain, in fear and panic.

"Captain!" the officer had began. "There are three Jem'Hadar fighters, directly behind us!" the officer explained, pointing to the three blips on his monitor. "What shall we do, sir?"

The Captain sighed, in frustration.

"Dammit!" Captain Tryol breathed, burying his head into his hands, in dispair.

However, the Captain had no time to worry about his problems. He needed to deal with them.

"Launch photon torpedoes!" the Captain ordered. The Novan Tactical Officer did so. The Captain shot his eyes over towards another officer. "Put the fighters on the viewscreen. Reverse angle." the Captain barked at the officer. Again, the officer complied.

A new image appeared on the viewscreen. This time, it was a squad of Jem'Hadar fighters. Three, to be exact. Soon, three photon torpedoes appeared on the viewscreen, to match the fighters. The torpedoes shot towards the fighters, on a direct path towards their destination...

While two of the fighters were destroyed on the spot, by the torpedoes, one of the fighters managed to avoid the oncoming torpedo and continue on towards the Dauntless.

The Jem'Hadar fighter shot forward, in a suicide run. The fighter was on a crash-course collision path, sraight towards the Dauntless!

CRASH!!!

The Jem'Hadar fighter slammed into the side of the Defiant-class vessel. The entire ship shook, in response to the explosion. When all was good and done, after the smoke had cleared, a gaping hole had been made in the side of the small Federation vessel, near the Dauntless' left warp nacelle. A fire had sprung up in the area, flames flickering within the damaged ship. Lights flashed, on and off, in the ship, which was visible from the exterior. The ship was badly beaten and in terrible condition. It couldn't take another hit like that...

Back on the Bridge, things had gone from bad to worse. The Captain, Captain Tyrol, lay on the floor, unconscious, with a concussion. Now, the First Officer, Commander Sharon Valerii had taken his place, sitting in the Captian's Chair.

"Damage Report!" the worried woman shouted at the Tactical Officer, with a slight trace of fear in her voice. "Now, dammit! We don't have all day!" the nervous woman continued, obviously frightened. She wasn't in the condition to take command of the vessel. She hadn't expected in, nor had she prepared for it. Things were all shot to hell...

TO BE CONTINUED...

Anna tapped at her consol to get the damage report. "We've lost Warp Drive!. Torpedos are offline, shields are almost gone." Anna read some more to que a list so she could speak in longer sentences. "Sensors are damaged, Life support is as well. Casualties coming in from all over the ship!" Anna read more. "Sir!, the fire suppresioon system is damaged, Engineering is dispatching damage control teams...whats left of them." Anna turned to face the first officer. "What are you're orders?"
