Revan nodded and smiled lightly at the man. A strong, good, able-bodied officer, he could never ask for a better first officer than Sheldon Souray. The two had been through a lot together, as Captain and First Officer.
"Very good, Commander," the Captain replied. "I'm glad your trip was uneventful, and that the supplies arrived on time. Now, if you'll excuse me, Souray," he continued, bearing a sly smile, "I have an Admiral to report to. Then it's late, and I want to get to bed. Hockey in the morning?"
This time he grinned a bit. Though they, having become good friends over the years, did many things with one another, Hockey, Souray's favorite sport, was the one which they did the most often.
Given Revan was far older than Souray, in his 50s, and therefore wasn't...very good at the sport, but he did enjoy it, albeit his personal sports preference was Lacrosse, which he hadn't played since high school.
The Captain wanted to get a good night's sleep and that message off to whichever Admiral he could get ahold of.

Souray smirked and cocked his head to the side then returned it, almost like a sideways nod. He enjoyed playing against Revan in hockey, it was always great fun and great exercise. Souray felt lucky to have been placed with a captain who was so willing to have fun.

"Wouldn't miss it for the world," he said with a chuckle, "I'll let you get to your business," Souray said as he quietly walked out of the room and onto the bridge where he assumed temporary command.

The turbolift doors opened and Shorn stepped onto the bridge. He noticed the first officer moving towards the command seat. The Andorian bowed his head to him out of respect and then moved to the helm, replacing the no name officer sitting there.

USS Eagle Star, Sickbay

Vivian watched as the last of the officers left her Sickbay, each with a clean bill of health...after Vivian had fixed them up, of course!

When everyone had cleared out of her Sickbay, Vivian gathered back up her supplies, including the medical tricorder and dermal regenerator that she had used during the treatments of some of the more-heaviliy wounded officers. She gathered them up in her arms and held them to her chest, to prevent any of them from falling. She quickly carried them over to a medical chest. She pulled open the top drawer, with her free hand. After she had succesfully pulled the drawer up, with a slight struggle, she dumped the tools into the drawer and slammed it shut. Good riddance! Now, she had cleaned up...in a manner of speaking...

Vivian sighed, in relief. Everyone was gone. Her tools were back in place. She finally had some free time. Some piece and quiet. Vivian sat down on a medical console, thinking of what she she do now, with her free-time. After several minutes of thought, Vivian had decided on what to do.

She jumped up, off of the medical console, and marched off towards the door. She pulled her teal overcoat which hung on a plastic peg next to the door and slung it over her arm. With overcoat in hand, Vivian took one last glance around Sickbay before exiting the room, out into the adjoining corridor...

Shorn turned his head to commander Souray.

"Your orders sir?" He asked.

He wasn't sure what their destination was, if any. The Andorian looked forward to going back to Earth, whenever that was possible. Next to his homeworld, it was his favorite planet in the quadrant.

--USS Eagle Star, Ready Room--
After Souray had left the Ready Room and the doors closed behind him, James took a moment to compose himself before contacting Admiral Janeway at Starfleet Command.
His history with her went quite a ways back; they were both relatively young, he not too much older than her, when they had met. But that was a long time ago.
It was not important, nor relevant. What was important and relevant, however, was his need to contact Janeway to give her his report.
The transmission was sent, and it was soon received by Janeway. James Revan, she said, smiling her typical friendly smile.
Admiral Janeway, Revan replied, a sly smile following it. How are you?
Im fine, James, she replied. Its late, and I want to get home and go to bed. What can I do for you?
I felt it necessary to contact you and give you an immediate report on a mission several members of my senior staff and I carried out earlier today on the supposedly uninhabited world of Dantooine, or so locals have named it.
Locals? What locals? the Admiral asked, curiously.
Do you recall reading about the Federation Isolationist Movement of 2298?
Isnt that the group that called for the Federation to isolate itself from everyone that wasnt a member, and tried to end the peace treaty with the Klingons? Janeway inquired, for clarification.
The very one. If you recall, about 50 people left the Federation in 2300 in two ships. These people ended up in the Cordoba system, where they initiated a settlement on a world they call Dantooine. These people are the locals Im talking about.
The Admiral just sat there, listening to the Captain as he spoke. Ill talk about them further in a bit, but what I really needed to talk to you about was something that happened at the planet, starting with why we were there. The man then began his tale of what happened, starting with their reason for going to the planet, visit to the settlement, search for the source of the radiation, death of an officer, and, eventually, what happened within the ancient structure, along with everything in between.
I still cant quite explain what happened, Admiral, Revan finished, but there was something there, Im convinced. Something strange and powerful, and ancient, yetfascinating.
Well, if theres anything that comes to you--anything specific that you can remember from your flashes--be sure to let me know.
I will, Admiral, Revan replied. Now, with regards to those settlers. To be honest, they have really set up quite a colony on that world, and have even opened up trade with a few previously unknown alien races. In my opinion, their community is one which should remain, and should not be removed. I personally vouch for them, and suggest that Starfleet Command sends a detachment to Dantooine before condemning the world, so as to investigate the settlement before taking any course of action. I feel that not only should it not be condemned, its people removed, but it should be allowed to remain, and remain separate, and at most sign some sort of agreement with the Federation for reparations for their crimes and whatnot.
Well look into it, James, Janeway replied with a slight, friendly smile.
He knew she would.
Thats all I ask, the Captain replied.
The Admiral nodded, and closed, stating, Janeway out.

-Taylor's Quarters-

Taylor sat alone in the living area, reading a novel on a PADD. The children were asleep, as was Megan, who was even more tired than he. Taylor couldn't get to sleep, not now. He had too much to think about.

Obviously their experience on Dantooine had left its marks. Only time would tell if it amounted to anything, though.

Time: 2330 Hours
Location: USS Eagle Star, Captains Quarters

The days events had been most tiresome for Captain James Michael Revan, Commanding Officer of the USS Eagle Star, Pathfinder-class starship. What was expected to be a mere exploration mission to ascertain where the source of a massive radiation surge was emanating from turned out to be much more than anticipated.
The away team, led by him, consisted of his Chief HOPS officer, his Chief Security/Tactical Officer, his Chief Engineer, and several security officers. One of them died in combat with the Raiders, or the wolves; he couldnt remember which, but it didnt matter. An officer had died on what was expected to be a mere exploration mission.
The team had found not only a settlement of isolationists from eighty years ago, but they came upon an ancient structure which taught them something new about the galaxys history: There was once a massive empire which consisted of many planets, including Bajor and, perhaps, Earth.
James stood within the confines of the sonic shower, relaxing his tense body within it, feeling much better as he cleaned off. The rest of the senior staff was in their quarters as well, and the crew was en-route to the Neutral Zone for some last-minute patrolling.
The USS Monitor had been torn away for another assignment, and since the Eagle Star was the closest ship to the Zone, it was the prime choice for the job of patrolling the Monitors section of the Neutral Zone.
As the warm water rolled pleasantly down his chest and shoulders, Revan reminisced about the days events, particularly what occurred in that one chamber within the ancient underground structure they had entered. What was that crystal? What were those flashes of images?
He couldnt remember any specific images, but there were different flashes that quickly made way, ones that stood out more than all the others.
The radiation must have done something to his mind was all, he figured. Nothing harmful, but that had to have been it.
The Captain turned off the water and opened the shower door, reaching out to grab his towel. He dried off and began to change.
Several moments later, once entirely ready for bed, James gave the replicator an order. Milk, 1%, hot, he ordered.
A second later a glass of milk materialized in front of him, and he reached for it, took it to his easy chair, and set it down on the table next to it.
He then picked up a book--not a PADD, but a book. This book was The Holy Bible, the Holiest book of his faith, the Catholic faith.
The particular book which he was reading was that of John. He enjoyed reading closely the tales of Jesus, and looked forward to his completion of the Bible, which he had read in entirety several times before. The man sipped his drink often as he read, and, once he finished the drink and determined that it was time for bed, Revan, exhausted, set the Bible and his book down and made his way for the bed. The Captain laid in there, covered himself with his blankets, and began to drift off to sleep

Shorn yawned and stretched, growing rather tired. It was time for his shift to end. He motioned for an ensign to take the helm. The Andorian walked past the commander, a good friend of his.

"I'm off to bed sir," He said, "Goodnight."

Shorn walked into the turbolift and called for his quarters.

((This is an IMPORTANT POST! Please take the time to read it thoroughly!!))

Time: 0420 Hours
Location: USS Eagle Star, Captains Quarters

Captain James Michael Revan lay asleep in his quarters as a playlist of Blues music continued to play in the background, beginning when he first got to bed.
Though he did not hear it, the Blues music playing in the background as he slept was ancient, from the latter half of the 20th century.
It has been often said that music listened to as one sleeps can show up within ones dreams, and that was the case with James. Each time the Blues played in his sleep, there was always some point where it came into his dreams, and it was doing that at this very moment.
The man was at a Blues bar in Chicago, Illinois where Blues musician Buddy Guy was playing a song entitled, The Garbage Man Blues, a fantastic Blues song which often sounded quite freaky when it was dark and he was alone.
However, here he wasnt alone, in his dreams, and had multitudes of people around him, watching the wonderful Blues music ring from Guy and his band.
Yet suddenly something odd happened.
The music still played, the band still remained, the sound still rung wonderfully, the people still stood around him, but the dream Revan heard noises coming from the outside of the building--powerful explosions and many screams.
With the band still playing around him and the people, oddly enough, remaining in their places, enjoying the music, Revan ran outside, towards the noises.
The music ceased.

Upon exiting he looked around, viewing an environment nothing like he had seen before. The building housing the Blues musicians and people was no longer present, nor was the city of Chicago surrounding it, and he was within the midst of destruction on an unknown field on an unknown planet.
There were white, oddly-designed buildings scattered about, almost all either on fire or beginning to collapse.
Tanks of unfamiliar design scrolled across the landscape, weapons blazing from a central gun, and somewhat large, powerful ships flew above, some of them dropping powerful surges across the landscape, destroying everything in their path.
A large ship flew above the others, no doubt the command ship, and wasnt firing any weapons. Odd, but perhaps not so. He wasnt getting the complete picture, and therefore couldnt accurately judge the scene.

All he knew was that a world of unidentified and unfamiliar origin was being destroyed by forces of unknown, yet powerful origin.

The Captain suddenly vanished from his location and no longer appeared to actually be in any location. All he saw now were clear, vivid images of more death and destruction.
First he saw people of yet again unfamiliar origin on an unfamiliar world of a beautiful city of large skyscrapers, going about their business as usual.

Yet suddenly, without warning, a terrible explosion was heard, and the people began to panic.
Revans dream view turned towards a layer of buildings on the planet and in the city he had just viewed, exploding in a great ball of fire as blast after blast of superior power shot down at it, causing significant destruction like nothing he had ever seen before.

Debris soared all over the place, striking innocent civilians along the way. The destruction was highly deadly, and James couldnt believe what he was seeing.

His mind then changed yet again, displaying now images of familiar nature--of Federation nature.
A fleet of Federation starships, along with Romulan and Klingon warships, was situated a relatively short distance from Deep Space Nine. It was lying in wait for something--something no doubt lethal.

The next thing he knew, similar starships to those on that first unidentified planet within his dreams dropped out of warp and began to fire at the fleet lying in wait.
Cardassian ships were also part of the Federation-Romulan-Klingon fleet, each ship fighting side by side against these ferocious alien starships, which destroyed ship after ship with remarkable speed.
A Cardassian craft fired at an alien spacecraft ahead of it, two Klingon Birds of Prey and one Cardassian warship swooping about in the background.

The defense of the alien spaceships was considerable, and it was clear that the joint fleet of four different superpowers was losing.
And the Dominion wasnt the enemy, nor was the Borg.
This enemy was absolutely powerful, and there was nothing that could be done to stop them. The blows just kept on coming.
The images drew closer to Bajor, the world near DS9. There tragedy was occurring as well, with the Federation unable to hold back the enemy, permitting them access to the planet.
It was being beaten senselessly by the bombardment, the world damaged severely by the attacks.

What was this merciless enemy doing?

Suddenly the view changed to display Qonos, the Klingon homeworld, aflame as a fleet of now-familiar ships, as well as unfamiliar ships, bombarded the world.

These unfamiliar ships were more powerful than the others, though no doubt of the same fleet. They were metallic and contained powerful blue-crystal weapons which launched amazing missiles of a powerful energy surge, the likes of which the Captain had never seen before.
A Federation ally, the Klingon homeworld, was aflame, and Revan didnt understand why; yet he was still asleep, unwoken by the nightmare he was witnessing.
There was something, however, familiar about this catastrophe--about all the images he was now seeing, but he couldnt quite pinpoint what it was.

The dream was redirected to Cardassian space, where starfighters and yet another unfamiliar design of starships were charging after a well-armed fleet of Cardassian ships which was attempting to prevent direct bombardment of their planet.

Unfortunately, he witnessed, the enemy fleet broke through, and Cardassia was vulnerable.
View changed to Cardassia, where the bombardment was thick, and the Cardassian defenses were unable to defend against such a thick enemy. Yet another world was lost to this mysterious enemy force, Cardassia now burnt to a crisp by the fleet.

Things changed one more time as the view was redirected to a massive Federation fleet massed in a location where it was to be met by these unidentified forces yet again.
This time, however, the Fleet consisted almost entirely of Federation forces, and it was much more massive than any of the previous fleets he had witnessed in his dreams.

What could be so important, he wonder, as to warrant this many ships?
But then it became clear.
The system they were defending was the Sol System.
Earth was under attack.

=============================================================

Ships across the system were fending off this brutal alien force; yet resistance, sadly, was futile.
Weapons blazed across the system, and nothing but phaser fire from ship to ship could be witnessed--nothing but explosions and shouts of terror and orders were heard.

Revan, for the first time, got a glimpse of the insides of a starship, unidentified to himself.
A Klingon Starfleet officer, flanked by four other Starfleet officers, moved ahead, a fifth extraneous officer attempting to open up a door to the ship.
The Captain heard footsteps from ahead, and saw blasts come right after them.
The Klingon fell to the floor, dead, followed by two of the five-total others behind him.
The three remaining officers fell back, attempting to find a more secure position, with another Federation officer dying on the spot, unable to escape the wrath of these ferocious aliens, the look of which Revan had still yet to see.

The image flashed again, however, to another section of the battle--directly to Earth.
In orbit stood three Federation starships, lying in wait for two of the crystal-weaponed ships to arrive at the planet, ready for combat.
In fact, upon the arrival of the two alien ships, the USS Defiant swooped in from behind, weapons blazing, causing, in conjunction with the other three ships, a power surge through one of the alien vessels.

This was, so far the only success James had seen occur during this whole tragedy. Perhaps the tide was turning?
Yet this wasnt, unfortunately, the case. He realized that that wasnt an energy disruption surge, but rather the charging of the enemy ship. Its power was great.

The images now sped up, displaying more quickly pictures of great tragedy, death, and destruction.
First he saw the destruction of two Federation starships in an instant, followed by the collision of a Klingon Bird of Prey into an enemy ship.
Next he witnessed the senseless bombing of Earth, particularly San Francisco. As a matter of fact, the next image that flashed in front of him was a crippled San Francisco, damaged like it hadnt been since the Dominion War, the Golden Gate Bridge absolutely demolished.

Flashes of more phaser fire and explosions throughout Earth, its surrounding space, and other worlds was seen as clear as day, and it all involved the destruction of Federation starships.
This was a nightmare, plain and simple.
He saw the USS Enterprise, at last, firing all phasers and torpedoes at an enemy ship. Unfortunately this only resulted in its destruction.
The Enterprise shot down towards Earth, leaking much exhaust and failing in its attempt to do some good.

Just then, as the Enterprises collision into Earth was fully witnessed by Captain Revan, his gaze changed towards a far more familiar ship than any other he had previously witnessed.

He was now witnessing a most tragic explosion of a familiar ship.
This familiar ship was the USS Eagle Star, his own ship.

There was a stunning final flash that suddenly displayed itself.
The image displayed was much like an ancient Earth pyramid, only with the tip region off and an eye inside of it, light shining in between the two pieces.

The explosion, followed by this rather frightening image and coupled with all that he had seen before it, rocked him to such an extent that he awoke, quickly and suddenly, shooting straight up, sweat rolling down his corporal body.
The music he was now hearing showed, judging from the start of this frightening part of his dreams, that he had only been listening to the song for little more than four minutes, making it a brief yet packed dream.
Not only this, but the music he awoke to was rather frightening in the context of the dream he just had, being at a rather freaky part of the song, when played in the dark, and alone. All of this gave him great concern, and the man arose from his bed.
Computer, he ordered. Lights.
The lights suddenly flashed on, and he began to pace around, reflecting on the nightmare he had just had.
What had he just witnessed? Much of it reminded him of the Book of Revelations within the Bible. Could it be that? Or could it just be a simple nightmare that he had, yet coincidentally showed some familiar stuff? Perhaps it was a compilation of various images he had seen in the past?
He was especially curious at this time about the symbol he saw flash at the very end of the dream, just before he woke up. It seemed awfully familiar, which is what made it so stunning and frightening.
What was it, and why was it in his dream? And why were so many ships destroyed? Who was the enemy he had seen?

It wasnt until then that something further clicked. He knew he had seen all of those images before, only they went by much more quickly the previous time.
Yet why did he recognize those images, when had he seen them, and where else had he seen that final symbol?
It was then that that item clicked: the latter he still didnt know, but the images, he realized, were in those vivid flash-visions he had seen in the crystal chamber on Dantooine. The images that had flashed through his head contained the images he had seen in the nightmare.
Something more, it seemed, happened at Dantooine than they had originally thought. What more happened, however, was unknown to him. Only time, he resolved, would provide the answer to that question.
But one thing was certain: What he had seen in his sleep was no mere dream. There was somethingmore to itsomething
The Captain lay back into his bed and slowly drifted back to sleep to the slow Blues music playing in the background, awaiting the next days events--awaiting what more he would discover, if anything, of his tenure on Dantooine, of the dream he had just had

Time: 0620 Hours
Location: USS Eagle Star, Captains Quarters

It took James Revan some time--approximately 30 minutes--to fall back to sleep, and even that short remainder of sleeping time wasnt enough before he had to wake up once again, roughly an hour later.
His mind, while readying for Hockey with his First Officer, couldnt get off the dream he had had the night before. It haunted him like nothing else had.
But now it was 0620, and he was slowly preparing for his sports time with Souray.
Five minutes later the man, suited up, headed for the turbolift, entered it, gave the computer and order, felt it speed to the Holodeck level, exited the turbolift, and headed for the Holodeck, which he entered shortly after.
Sheldon wasnt there yet, but he nonetheless stated to the computer, Computer, begin program Souray-1.

USS Eagle Star, Quarters

Vivian stirred. Seconds later, her eyes fluttered open. Her vision was blurry at first but it returned to normal with time. After her vision had cleared, she glanced about the room, to get her bearings. To her suprise, Vivian found herself in a bed in a room that was unfamiliar to her. Where was she? What had happened? She couldn't remember the previous night.

As she propped herself up on her elbows, to sit up on the bed, Vivian got a better look of her surroundings. Apparently, she was in someone's quarters. However, these were not her own quarters but someone else's. Why would she be in someone else's room?

Just then, it all came flooding back to her...The previous night. Slowly, Vivian turned her head to the right. Just as she had dreaded, a man lay next to her in the bed. Had she slept with this man?!? Suddenly, Vivian had realized that she was naked. She must have! Why else would she be lying in a bed, naked, with some mysterious man?

Quickly, Vivian jumped up out of the bed, the covers falling off of her, revealing her naked body. The man hadn't moved an inch after she had moved. He must have been a heavy sleeper. That was good for Vivian. She didn't want to wake the man. She just wanted to forget that the previous night had ever happened...

Vivian scrounged around the room, in search of her clothes. She couldn't nude body and tied the sash together. Even with the sash tied as tightly as she could possibly tie a knot, the robe was still loose. No matter. When she returned to her quarters, she would be able to change into proper clothes.

After taking one last quick glance, to make sure that the man was still sound asleep, which he was, Vivian slipped out of the man's quarters, into the hallway, outside.

Eagle Star, Corridor

Vivian rushed down the halls, in search of her own quarters, hoping to avoid anyone she knew. She didn't want to run into the Captain. She didn't want him seeing her in such a manner. To say the least, the whole situation would be...awkward.

Vivian gasped for breath as she rushed down the halls of the U.S.S. Eagle Star, trying to make her way back to her own quarters. To her horror, she found that her quarters were on a different deck than she was currently on. She would have to use the Turbolift.

Vivian found her way to a Turbolift, without running into anyone. She entered the Turbolift, hoping that no one else would be waiting. To her relief, the Turbolift was empty.

Vivian breathed a sigh of relief and ordered the Computer to take her to the proper deck. While the Turbolift kicked into motion, Vivian leaned back against the wall, happy to have gotten away from that man. She couldn't help but wonder what would have happened if the man had caught her, when she had snuck away from the bed. It would have been...embarassing, to say the least.

While Vivian was lost in thought, the Turbolift doors opened. Two officers stood before her, engineers by the looks of it. They just stared at Vivian with a curious glint in their eyes. Vivian tried to conceal her suprise and frustration with a smile.

"Good morning." Vivian said, cheerfully. One of the engineers, a Human male, nodded in return.

"Same to you, Doctor." the engineer said, dumbfounded. It must have been quite a sight to find the Chief Medical Officer of a Starfleet starship, standing in a Turbolift, wearing nothing but a loose robe. Quite awkward.

Vivian let out an embarassed laugh.

"Well...Good to see you, both." Vivian said, hastily. The two both nodded.

"You, too, Doctor." the other officer, a Betazoid male, replied. Vivian took a deep breath, thinking of what to say next.

"Ummmmmm...Have a good day." Vivian said, at length.

"Thank you, Doctor." the two officers said, in unison. "Good day, to you, as well." the Betazoid had finished. Vivian nodded, trying to conceal her red cheeks with a smile.

"Well..." Vivian began, but never finished. She clapped her hands and brushed past the two engineers, into the hallway. She didn't dare look back. She was just happy to have escaped the scene.

Eagle Star, CMO Quarters

Vivian hastily made her way back to her quarters, managing to avoid anyone else the rest of the walk.

Once back in her quarters, Vivian took a quick sonic shower and changed back into her medical uniform.

Once dressed in her proper attire, Vivian exited her quarters, off towards Sickbay, trying to leave the morning's events behind her...Most embarassing.

-- USS Eagle Star, Souray's Quarters --

Commander Sheldon Souray was in his quarters hastily throwing on some of his off-duty hour clothes. They consisted of jeans and a white T-shirt. He was several moments late after having slept soundly and comfortably during the night. He was late for something he had been cheerfully anticipating; a nice game of hockey with Revan.

After throwing on his clothes quickly, he grabbed his bag and his sticks; something he did that the captain quite dreaded. Sheldon hard-pressed to wear anything but his own real equipment. He refused to wear fake, holographic equipment. Souray already had all of his own things broken into complete comfort. Now, why the James Revan dreaded it, and frankly, any crewman who happened to walk past Souray on his way to the holodeck, was that with insense sports like hockey comes sweat... Souray's bag smelt like death... It was part of really getting into the sport, after all.

Souray rushed down the hall as quickly as he could with his bag and sticks, crewmen getting out of the way as they knew, impeding Sheldon's hockey could lead to pain. He arrived at the holodeck a turbolift ride and a jog later.

"Sorry I'm late," Sheldon apologized, "I was having such a great sleep."

James looked towards his friend with a tired smile as he entered the room. The man carried his real equipment, something Revan disliked. When you're in a holographic program, he felt, you needed to wear holographic clothing. But maybe that was just the fact that he grew up when the first holoprograms had begun, and that was the idea at that time.
He also hated the stench that it carried. Come to think of it, that was probably the majority of his rational for disliking the fact. But he digressed, readying himself to play, geared-up and ready to go.
But nonetheless, he was glad to see Sheldon. "It's alright, Souray," he replied, tiridly, and then said, "You're lucky you had a good sleep. I had one hell of a bad one."
That had to have been the understatement of the year. His sleep was far from a good one, and that really was quite apparent.

Souray smirked as he quickly began to throw on his equipment before the game. It only took him about 5-10 minutes to get everything on properly when he wanted to.

"Excuses, excuses," Sheldon said with a laugh, "You just don't want to get embarassed, again."

Souray was of course kidding with him, and believed him about the sleep but had to start a little pre-game blood warming if it was to be fun. He already had the lower portions of his equipment on and now slipped his shoulder pads on then his elbow pads, etc. He was ready to go.

Revan smiled lightly at the man as he joked around. He knew it was a joke, and what that did for him--it gave him energy he needed, started his blood pumping.
"Let's just start out with some passing, alright? Then we can start doing more," Revan said.
The Captain grabbed his stick from the wall on which it was leaning and placed it into the puck, begining to carry the object forward into a position that would enable him to pass the puck to his first officer.

After Revan and Souray warmed up with some passing back and forth, then shooting on the empty nets, Souray activated the teams and the crowd. They had a long game, for Revan's team anyways in a score of 7-3 and a few Earth spinning body checks. Now, rather than giving James some post game heckling, Souray gave the Captain a rather concerned gaze.

"You didn't play nearly as well as you usually do. You weren't kidding when you said you had a bad night, were you?" Souray started, "Couldn't sleep? Stressed out about the death of your office? Nightmare?"

Souray was generally concerned about the well-being of not only his Captain, but his friend. Normally he exerted far more effort into the game, even if it was something that wasn't exactly his favourite sport. The Captain wasn't one to roll over and play dead...

I apologize for the severe lack of posts. I have been quite busy lately and unfortunately, due to that busyness, my RPG posting has had to be focused on DSG. Im going away on Tuesday and wont be back until about the 10th of July. I will therefore be locking this topic now and, upon my return, will really work to get this RPG going, as I had hoped, and will be able to post a lot more.
Please look for my return and my post reinitializing the RPG. We wont be rewinding at all, but I will be putting us automatically, by default, up to the place I would like to be, which may or may not mean skipping a few days; it all depends.
Again, my apologies for the lack of posts, but when I return Ill start bringing this back up to speed and get it rolling again. I assure you that I will not allow this RPG to die. Anyways, heres my post before I request this to be locked:

Time: 0715 Hours
Location: USS Eagle Star, Holodeck

Revan discussed his recollection of his dreams that night before, from the battles raging on to the death and destruction to the fact that these images were extensions of what he had seen on Dantooine, as well as the odd symbol he saw in the end of his nightmare.
I am convinced that this was more than a mere dream, James purported. I think it has something to do with Dantooine and that crystal I touched while we were there, though Im not sure. It was a startling and quite frightening dream. Or perhaps, as I said, it was more than a dream. Perhaps it was an intentional, or a sub-intentional, vision of sorts. Im not quite sure, but what I do know is that Im going to keep as much of a tab on my dreams as I can for the next few nights. It was disturbing, and if theres more to these dreams, Id like to find it out what it is.
James went on to finish his discussion with his first officer, and soon after the duo ended their hockey time completely and headed for their respective quarters to wash up and report for duty.
Little did he know that his dreams would not only continue, but the intrigue surrounding them would soon expedite and the manner in which he experienced these visions would change beyond his expectations...

Please DO NOT POST.

((I am once again starting up the RPG! I've had this post ready since the day the site went down, so yeah. Let's get started again! ))

Time: 0310 Hours
Location: USS Eagle Star, Captains Quarters

The night was dark, as it always was in the quarters of Captain James Revan on board the USS Eagle Star. The music of Federation Jazz hologram Vic Fontaine, emitting from a recording given to Revan by his friend Dr. Julian Bashir of Deep Space Nine, played the song Ill be seeing you soothingly in the background as the captain slept.
This time he imagined himself on board Deep Space Nine, within the confines of Vic Fontaines in one of the holosuites on board the station. The only other corporeal being present was his friend Julian, and Vic was, like Buddy Guy the previous night, playing the song to which Revan was currently sleeping.
As the song got about mid-way and a saxophone solo commenced, Revan rocked with an explosion to the station. Having spent a few days on board the station during the Dominion War, though not being present during one of the battles there, he immediately, in his dream state, assumed it to be a Dominion attack.
The captain rose from his seat in the bar and exited the holosuite, rushing for the turbolift to head up to Ops.
A moment later he arrived there, exited, and turned to Colonel Kira Nerys, inquiring, Whats going on?
Several unknown alien ships have dropped out of warp and are pounding the station, Kira reported. Were taking a heavy beating.
Revan nodded and rocked with the station. He then looked at the screen and recognized the two incoming ships. They each had some sort of crystal-like weapons that reminded him of a deathly force he recalled vividly.
He turned his head to see a human male and a Trill female disembark from the turbolift together, and when he returned his gaze to the viewscreen the whole scenario changed.
He was no longer on board DS9, but rather on Deep Space Guardian, in the Vega System. Looking around he saw a cyborg Commander he recognized as Commander Malcolm Jones, the stations first officer. He also recognized Captain Ian Xavier. Looking at no one in particular the Captain stated, Whats going on?
Jones looked at the man, intrigued as to why he didnt know what was happening. Were under Vong attack. The fleet is doing what they can to fend them off, but were not having much success. Theyre just too overwhelming.
James looked at the viewscreen and glimpsed the combat--combat which was oddly familiar to him.

He saw one ship, Thunder-class, explode following an alien torpedo hit.
We really need the Eagle Star out there, Jim, his friend, the other captain, said.
Revan, still slightly confused at the situation, nodded, turned, and rushed for the turbolift. Almost immediately he arrived at his destination and exited the lift. But what he saw upon exit was not what he expected.
Instead of being on the station he was on an unidentified world. Yet again there was the familiar sight of an intense ground assault from a number of unidentified crafts and vehicles.

Buildings were on fire and the assault thickened. A bomb dropped right next to him and the man dived to the right, barely missing the assault. He ran on ahead, nearly missing yet another attack, and hid behind a boulder.
What the hell is going on here? the dream man thought to himself. He recognized the view but couldnt put it into context or recall what it was he was remembering. The bombing began to subside and the noise came from a farther distance.
Knocked unconscious by a sizzling blast, Revan awoke to find himself yet again in another location. This time, however, there was no war, no explosions, no killing, no burning. Instead, there was peace, tranquility and beauty.
Revan was now on a beautiful beach, connecting to a gloriously blue ocean, a number of trees all around and birds gliding about in the air above.
For the first time in a while James was at peace. He took in the serene scenery for a moment, taking it in, stood, and began to walk around the beach.
There were a number of rock formations at the back edge of the beach, and trees and other plants were scattered about the area. As he walked around James noticed a sandy pathway that rather intrigued him. He resolved to walk up the path and see what he could find.
The path took him around an immediate bend and then a succeeding bend. At the end of that path there became a two-way fork in the road. For no reason at all he decided to take the rightmost path, continuing down it until he reached the end. There he took a left, where he saw, in a distance, a rather large, intriguing, grayish structure.

After glimpsing the structure and becoming quite fascinated by it, Revan decided to take the path around the rock bent in front of him and head for the structure.
He continued down the path until he arrived at the end of the pathway. The structure, he noted, was of great size and appeared to have been disrupted in some way. Part of the right side was shattered. He was curious as to why, but thought little more of it. It did look as though it may actually have been incomplete, though he guessed that it had previously been attacked.
Revan also witnessed a number of aliens similar to the hologram he had witnessed on Dantooine walking around. James continued onward, interested in what was taking place.
The alien spoke a language he did not understand, and yet as he came closer he did understand it. He was close enough to the point where he would have assumed the aliens would have noticed him, but they did not.
The New Age is upon us, one of the aliens said to the group of six.
The war will end, another said. The Star Gate will be activated and the energy shield will protect us.
It is most assuredly necessary that we secure the Temple, a third said.
I agree, the second stated. We must prevent access to the Temple so that none can interfere with the process.
We must not allow the Star Gate to stop its task, a fifth concurred.
It is settled, then, the first decided. Access to the Temple must be restricted upon initiation of the Star Gate. Only the Priests must be permitted access.
The sixth nodded. I am in agreement, she said. We cannot allow the petty warlords and lower Caste to gain access. Or worse: the Vong that will inevitably crash onto this planet.
We cannot allow interruption of the Star Gate, the third agreed. The consequences are too great.
Revan, who was now close to the group and quite close to the structures entrance, spoke up. Pardon my interruption, he said, raising his right hand in greeting, but are you...are you the Architects? he inquired, but received no answer. It was as though he was not present.
Interruption is inevitable, the fifth stated. In 20,000 years the field will collapse, and the Star Gate will be inoperative.
The Vong will return, the fourth contributed, and a new age of terror will reign upon the galaxy.
This cannot be allowed to happen, the second said.
It is inevitable, the first replied, looking at the second. Our technology was only able to sustain the Star Gate for so many years.
Was this expected? the fifth inquired.
It was, and is, the first said.
Has notice been made possible?
The warning has been declared.
Then the Intimations have been placed? the third asked.
They have been, the first answered. The crystal is to be placed within Edean. The One will find it. The One will gain access to it. The One will be permitted to find the Star Map and Rakata Prime thereafter and to assist the future priests in returning operation to the Star Gate before twilight comes upon the galaxy.
The fourth shook his head. How can this be assured? he inquired.
The Master Priest had foreseen it, the first replied. It will be done as I have spoken. He looked over each individual. The visions have been emplaced. The message may be dispatched. The power of the Master Priest will do its work. The Rakatans may no longer have the Power, but the crystal has it. The Master Priest foresaw it. The Master Priest touched the crystal before his death. It will be as I have said.
The crystal? Revan thought. Is this the crystal I touched back on Dantooine?
And if it isnt? the fifth stated, skeptically.
It will be done, the first replied. It has been foreseen. The One will receive the Intimations, and the One will find the new Rakata Prime.
But what if he does not? the fifth pressed.
Then the future will not be written as it was intended, the first responded, and the pain will once again be unleashed upon the galaxy.
But it will be worse, the fourth contributed.
The Empire will not be available to fend it off, yes, the first finished.
Either the One will come, the second surmised, or the visions will materialize. He directed his attention to the first speaker and asked, When is the crystal to be placed?
It is to be sent to Edean tomorrow, the first replied, before the war is brought to the new Rakata Prime.
The second nodded. Then the history and culture of the Empire will survive?
The Empire is everlasting, the third stated. It will survive.
The Star Gate will remove the Vong, the first summarized. The crystal will be sent, the Temple will be secured, and the One will find the Intimations. The Intimations have been set. The One will come, and the Empire will be secured.
The agreement amongst the six was resound as they each turned away, heading in a westerly direction. Revan then noticed, as the group treaded away, a small symbol on the wall near the entrance. It was familiar and he walked closer to it.
The inscription was of the pyramid he had seen previously, with the eye, though it had more to it than he had previously seen. He leaned over to read the inscriptions on, above, and below the pyramid and, as he often did when viewing such things, Revan touched the symbol, following along the textual line. This caused a shocking surge through his body, causing him once again to convulse and fly back.
Numerous familiar flashes of alien ships combating one another, of modern ships combating unfamiliar ships, and of death and destruction displayed themselves again, showing past and future destruction of people, planets, and starships. A flash of the aliens he had just witnessed also showed itself in the middle of the other flashes, with the one alien saying, The Empire is everlasting. It will survive.
And again, the last thing he viewed before awakening was the familiar flash of the oddly familiar pyramid.

The only difference this time was the recognizable voice of one more of the aliens stating, Novus Ordo Seclorum.
All this woke Captain James Revan once again from his sleep, breathing heavily. What the hell was going on?
Computer? he said. Lights.
For the second night in a row he had woken up from a dream elaborating on the flashes he saw after touching the crystal on Dantooine. There was something going on here, something about that crystal, and he was determined to figure it out.
He recalled familiar words at the end, along with the familiar image of the pyramid with the eye. What were they? Ah, yes. Novus Ordo Seclorum. Why in the world did that sound familiar? He knew he had heard it before, but he wasnt sure from where it originated.
James decided to try to fall back to sleep but found himself unable to do so, as was the case the previous night. And so he decided to look up the words he heard in the end.

He stood up from his bed, had the lights reactivated, and sat at the console in his quarters. Computer, look up Novus Ordo Seclorum. I know its Latin, but I want to know from where the phrase might have originated.
The computer beeped and the sound of its search emanated from it. Searching, the female voice said. The search then stopped and it stated, Search complete.
Revan nodded at the computer and then listened as it relayed to him the information he wished to hear. Novus Ordo Seclorum is a Latin phrase translated in English as New Order of the Ages. It appeared on the reverse of the Great Seal of the United States of America and was one of the initial mottos of the United States. The motto has been traced to Virgil, the renowned Roman poet who lived in the first century B.C.
You said it was placed on the backside of the Great Seal of the United States, James said, inquisitively. Please display the backside of the Great Seal of the United States.
The computer chirped and did as ordered, presenting a moment later the image. Revan gasped, shocked at what he saw.

How can this be? he said quietly to himself. Computer, run a background check on the backside of the seal, and the phrase Novus Ordo Seclorum. Tell me what you find.
The computer searched once again and then reported its findings. Search complete, the computer stated. The reverse of the Seal of the United States displays an incomplete pyramid resembling that of the Ancient Egyptians. Above the pyramid stands the Eye of Providence, or all-seeing eye, which derives from the Eye of Horus of Ancient Egypt, an Ancient Egyptian symbol of protection and power, from the deity Horus or Ra. Above the eye is the statement, Annuit Coeptis, a phrase translated by the United States State Department to mean, He [God] has favored our undertakings, though it literally means that someone or something, presumably the Eye of Providence, has approved our beginnings. Below the pyramid states Novus Ordo Seclorum, translated as New Order of the Ages. It has, since the formation of the United States, often been misinterpreted as meaning New World Order.
Revan nodded, recalling the misinterpretation. The bottom of the pyramid states the Roman numerals MDCCLXXVI, meant to mean 1776. However, there have been a number of popular culture interpretations of this phrase coinciding with a number of conspiracy theories surrounding the numbers and pyramid as a whole.
In summary, what is the most prominent of conspiracy theories? Revan inquired. Some of this logo was within his dreams. Of that he was sure. He had seen the pyramid, along with the Eye of Providence and the markings of 1776 and heard the phrase Novus Ordo Seclorum. But he did not hear or read the other phrase. While the image flashed to him at the end of his dream did not contain more than the pyramid, the eye, and the numbers, he was quite sure that the inscription he saw on the structure in his dream did include it.
Generally, the computer began to respond, it was believed by conspiracy theorists that the United States was created in accordance with a conspiratorial organization of world conquest, an organization known as the Illuminati that was working behind-the-scenes in a plan for world domination to create, in essence, a New World Order. This fit in with many ideas of freemasonry. The Eye of Providence and phrase Novus Ordo Seclorum were said to represent this new world order that was to dominate the Earth. The numbers--
Revan thought he had heard enough and prompted the question, What of this Eye of Providence? You said it goes back to the days of the Ancient Egyptians? How so?
The Eye of Horus was a symbol that signified royal power, though a decimal system was worked through it. It was adopted by the designers of the Great Seal of the United States as a representation of something or someone favoring the beginnings of the country and the prosperity of it, the computer replied, in full.
Revan thought on this for a moment. Why would his dreams for the past two nights display this symbol, though not in full, and then a phrase would be attached to it this night? What was that temple he had witnessed those aliens talking in front of, and why did the Great Seal of the United States appear on it? Could these aliens have had something to do with the country? What did the crystal have to do with this? What was this war the aliens were talking about? Intimations? What could they be? Was he being told something by an unidentified alien group? Was he to be the One they were talking about? This left more questions for Revan than answers.
What he needed was a cup of coffee, a beverage he normally didnt drink. Computer, he said, standing up and heading for the replicator, coffee, black. A steamy cup of coffee then appeared in the replicator. He took the cup, blew on it, sat back down at his desk, and took a sip.
Again he contemplated what he had just saw and been told by the computer. What he was able to deduce, for the time being at least, was that he had touched a crystal the day before, one which caused him to fly back and view a number of images in quick flashes. That night he dreamed the images once again, only this time more vividly. The dream ended with a portion of the reverse side of the Great Seal of the United States. The next night, tonight, he had another dream showing more flashes of war with an alien race he surmised, from his dreams, to be known as the Vong. But then the flashes ended and he witnessed a discussion between two aliens of the same species as the one of which the Dantooine hologram was. Perhaps these were the Architects it spoke of? Revan was unsure, but continued his deductions.
The discussion he witnessed spoke of the Star Gate which was referenced by the hologram the day before. It also spoke of a terrible war with the Vong, one which was eliminating their Empire. There was something about the Star Gate that he couldnt remember, but he recalled that the planet he was on, Rakata Prime, was to be secured with an energy shield of some sort. He gathered that intimations, or clues, would be spread throughout the galaxy for an individual known as the One to find, clues which would lead him to the planet where he could prevent a terrible pain from being unleashed upon the galaxy once again. These intimations, he surmised, resulted from a crystal. He assumed that the crystal was the one he touched, but he was unsure. The aliens said it would be found on the planet Edean. Perhaps Dantooine was Edean? He was unsure.
And then there came the symbol of the Illuminati--the backside of the Great Seal of the United States. Why did it appear in both his dreams and on the structure he touched in his latest dream? Perhaps the founding of the United States had something to do with this ancient Empire? Impossible. It was an ancient empire, having collapsed millennia ago, which would mean that he had just witnessed a past conversation and that it could not have had anything to do with the beginnings of the United States.
But then again, this Eye of Horus of the Egyptians was intriguing to him. Perhaps there was some relationship between ancient Earth civilization and this massive empire?
There was something important here and he knew it. These couldnt be mere dreams. There was no way. For such stunning things to be involved in the dreams was just too strange to be mere coincidences, and he was going to find out precisely what it was. He needed answers, and the concern that this Vong situation brought him caused him to believe that he needed them fast.
Tomorrow morning he would speak with Souray about these dreams, and he would do what he could to develop some answers to all the questions he was developing. Now what he needed was some rest. Despite the coffee he was having, Captain James Revan was incredibly tired. He set the cup down, turned everything off, and got back to bed, where he managed to quickly fall asleep.

((I want to have one more night of dreams, just to let everyone know. Then well get this moving.))

Due to lack of activity and a long-term writer's block on my part, but especially due to my wish to create a new RPG commemorating the 5th anniversary of September 11th, I am at least temporarily putting the RPG on hold. I have not yet asked it to be locked because I want to see if individuals sign up for the RPG before doing so. If this happens I will request that the RPG be locked, though I plan on unlocking it eventually.

Thank you.

I closed my above 9/11 commemoration RPG due to the fact that there was no interest in my method of commemoration for those events and those that died on those events.
And so I intend on continuing this RPG and will be posting the final dream hopefully today, the dream which will move us on to actual action in the RPG.
I hope that you will all continue to serve as members and we can finally bring this RPG up to speed and make it the best it can be!

If you leave and come back after two weeks, do not expect your RPG to be there. There is no purpose in starting idle RPGs.
