Jolar stared in the picture in sadness. He found it strange the Cardassians killed the woman and not Reigns. Then again, Cardassians have shown the Alpha quadrant time and time again, that they were ruthless and at times, barbaric. A quiet sigh escaped his through as he handed the photo back to Reigns.

"My condolences," He said, "I know anything I say is meaningless, but she sounded like an incredible women. Cardassia lost something very great."

"No Jolar, its not meaningless." Mitchell said to the Cardassian.

"Ive never shown that to anyone before, I'd probably be exhiled by the crew for marrying a Cardassian." he let out a short laugh.

"Anyways" he said. "I let you be on your way sir."

USS Ark Royal, Sickbay

Victoria's wounds had healed since the attack five days ago. She had slept the first three days, but, since then, she has spent most of her time awake. She wanted to know what was going on. Just because she was no longer a member of the crew of the Ark Royal didn't mean that she didn't wanted to be informed on the affairs of the ship. She had the same right to know as anyone. After all, she was stuck in this damn place, too, like everyone else. The Gamma Quadrant...why would the Federation want to come here in the first place?

"And, who do we have to blame for that?" Victoria thought to herself, with a smug smirk. Victoria hated Captain Yamada...Takeshi...what a fool. He caused all of this. He was the most ignorant Captain that she had ever served under. She wished that she was still on the Enterprise-E, safe and sound...at least Captain Picard was smart. Captain Yamada, here, was an imbecile who only cared about the well-being of his girl-friend, that Quack, Aleia Madre. Second Officer...how the hell did that trash become Second Officer? A Counselor...pathetic. That just comes to show you that Captain Yamada isn't very selective...or very bright. But, then, again, Victoria had known that last part since the day she met him.

Victoria propped herself up on her shoulders. She hated being the patient. This is...was...her Sickbay. She just wished that she could have her old job back. It was better than wasting her days away asleep or in the Brig...but, sadly...this would be her fate. And, none of this would have happened if Captain Yamada had just allowed her transfer, which she asked for in the beginning...no...the ignorant bastard. He was to blame...he was to blame for everything that had happened so far. How that fool had ever become a Captain eluded her. An Ocampan would have made a better Captain!

Victoria sighed and looked around, for the EMH. She wanted out. She wanted to be moving, again. She didn't want to be some life-less statue that slept her days away in Sickbay. She wanted to be up and about. Sitting her was just torture. It was worse than the Brig...

"Well, I don't know about that..." Victoria thought to herself, with a gleam in her eye.

Plus, she missed that Cardassian...Jolar. However much she despised him and vice-versa, fighting him never ceased to amuse her. Sadly, Victoria believed that she would never have the opportunity, again. She would get to spend the rest of her life out in a dark, damp cell on a moon on the edge of the galaxy...and that was if she was lucky. Killing another Starfleet officer is no little offense. Victoria had no idea what was in for her...

"But...it was an accident..." Victoria thought to herself, with a look of remorse on her face. It was the truth. She never wanted to kill anyone. Her finger had slipped and the trigger was fired...on Setting 7. It was all a mistake. She would change everything if she had the opportunity...

"What has been done has been done. I can't change what I have done." Victoria thought to herself, a solemn look on her face. She was right. It was not like she could go back in time and change the events of the last two weeks...no...she would have to live with her mistakes...for the rest of her life.

"...Which may be spent, here, in the blasted Gamma Quadrant..." Victoria finished her thoughts. She cleared her throat and called out for the EMH.

"Hologram! Let me out of here, now!" Victoria shouted out, at the EMH, who stood at the entrance to Sickbay, motionless. Victoria had no respect for this...hologram. She would never entrust someone's life in the hands of a...hologram. They had no respect for life...

"Maybe, I don't either..." Victoria shuddered at the thought.

Takeshi tapped his combadge. "Aknowlaged Mr. Onasi, good work to all of you." Takeshi tapped a wall com panel for ship wide announcement. "All hands, this is the Captain. We're at the planet to gather recources. Food, planets, minerals that we might beable to convert for energy or other uses. Now, this is not a request or an order. I'm asking some of you to beam down. IF you prefer to stay on the ship, thats fine. But remember...we dont know when we can go to a planet again, anytime soon..." Takeshi closed the line and looked over at Aleia.

Aleia smiled.

"It looks like we're about to go on a rather interesting mission or adventure... which ever you prefer."

~USS Ark Royal, Corridor~

Takeshi smiled and nodded. "It looks it...." The two continued down a corridor in silence. They neared the transporter room where several other officers were waiting to go down.

~USS Ark Royal, Cargo bay~

Several officers were at wokr preparing contianers for the things that are collected. Food, minerals, what ever it was, there was a container for it. The contianers were placed on cargo transporter Pads to await beaming down to the planet.

~USS Ark Royal, Bridge~

Saria turned to face Onasi. "Sir, should I enter standard Oribt?"

Bridge
"Please do, Ensign," Onasi replied from the Captain's chair. He then proceeded to tap his commbadge and report, "Onasi to the Captain. We've arrived at the planet and are now entering standard orbit."
The security chief wished that he would be able to go down to the planet, yet felt more of an obligation to remain on the ship. He knew that his duty was to make sure that it was tactically secure, and with their current situation that security was more necessary than ever.

Saria nodded and placed the ship in standared orbit. She then called for a replacement. She turned to Onasi again. "Sir, I will be going down to the planet, a replacement is on the way..."

Takeshi tapped his combadge. "Aknowlaged Lieutenant, good job." Takeshi nodded to a passing officer.

The EMH sighed. She was so rude to him. Figures. He walked over to her. "I can't let you go just yet, I'm afraid...."

-Ark Royal, Corridor-

Jolar was walking down the corridor. He was still disturbed by what Reigns showed him. His mind drifted to other victims of the Cardassian brutality and he thought of Victoria. He rushed towards sickbay...

-Ark Royal, Sickbay-

The doors opened and the Cardassian strolled in to see Victoria and the EMH arguing.

"Computer," He said, "Deactivate the EMH."

The hologram looked at him in shock.

"I am speaking!" He yelled, "You cant-"

He was cut off and dissapeared. Jolar cared nothing for the hologram, not considering it alive anyways. He walked over to Victoria and an awkwardness ensued.

"How are you?" He asked.

Victoria, who was now sitting upright, with her back to the fluffy white pillows and her white cotton blanket spread across her lap, looked up, at the sound of Jolar's voice. When she noticed who it was, she folded her arms and scowled.

"How are you?" Jolar had asked.

"Oh! I am feeling so much better now that you are here." Victoria snapped, sarcastically. "You've just made my day! Why are you here?"

Deep down, Victoria truly DID like Jolar...in a twisted sort of way. She had missed the arguments...Also, after her little "trip" with Jolar, she had felt that she had got to know Jolar...to see a little below the surface. Deep down, Victoria could see that Jolar was actually a good person...even if he didn't show it. The way he had resisted the Dominion...Jolar was a strong man. Plus, he had saved her life...twice. Jolar had earned her respect, even if she didn't show it...

Aleia continued her walk with Takeshi, falling silent.

"So we're supposed to gather resources?" She asked Takeshi offhandedly. "That seems like a rather strange mission."

Takeshi shruged. "Well, we don't know when the oppertunity will be again, and after all the battles and such we've gone though in the last few days, I thought that maybe some time to do something differnt would be nice."

Aleia nodded and smiled.

"You are right. A break would be nice. I totally forgot that this was a sort of... vacation of sorts. New lands and new things to view." She laughed lightly. "I must admit I'm excited for this adventure."

Jolar smiled and shook his head, exasperated with her.

"I'm sure I did," He said, "We're going down to the planet to collect resources. Do you wish for me to bring you anything? An animal perhaps?"

He held his hands up.

"Oh wait," He said, "You'd probably train it to kill me."

Planet

Aleia laughed lightly and smiled over at Takeshi, blushing a delicate pink.

"Thank you, Takeshi." She held the flower and smelled it for a quick second. "It's beautiful. Smell it." She held it up for Takeshi.

Victoria looked up at Jolar, with wide-eyes and scoffed at him.

"I might..." Victoria said, sarcastically. Victoria let a heavy sigh escape her lips. She had missed these fights with Jolar. She didn't know why...fighting with this uptight Cardassian was just...fun. 'Fun'...Now, how often did she use that word, nowadays...? Victoria hadn't had 'fun' for what seemed like years...Ever since the day that she, along with the rest of the crew, had been and still are, trapped in the Gamma Quadrant...

"And, who's to blame for that?" Came a soft voice in the back of Victoria's head. It seemed that every time that Victoria even thought about Captain Takeshi, as she so fondly called her dear Captain, or about her current situation, she had always subconsciously brought that same thought up...After all, it was the truth...All of this was the Captain's fault...the idiot.

Victoria looked back up at Jolar and smiled. "Get out of here, Cardassian. Don't you have to head down to the planet or something?" Victoria barked, her cheeks blushing. "Go on! Get the hell out of here!" Victoria shouted, pointing towards the door, with a wavering hand. Even as she did so, Victoria couldn't help to crack a grin.
