What about the Enterprise confronts the Cube and Picard says he can hear the borg.
What about when Voyager encounters the Sphere and both Seven and One admit to hearing the Borg.
One has to assume Picard is not totally free of Borg Technology. They just never talk about it on screen.

I don't know why Picard heard the Borg. There has been nothing said to lead us to believe that he has ANY borg technology in him. I'm not denying that it's not POSSIBLE...but I doubt it...I wish I had "The Best of Both Worlds pt II" then I could see if Crusher says "I took out MOST of or ALL of" the technology...hmm...there's the answer possibly...???
And it's obvious that Seven and One could hear them. They still have the technology. One's various borg parts were activated...they tapped in through those parts...and it's only logical that the same thing happened with Seven.
So again, there's no real "sensing" on the part of Seven of Nine...
