All excellent points Sazzy and everyone! J/7 forever! I was talking about this with someone the other day and even in Counterpoint there seems to be a serious tension in the room whenever Janeway and Seven are together, the whole body language of Seven suggests just briddled anger at Janeway and this alien dude....which could be translated to jealousy....

Oh Seven must have been very jealous considering Janeway was making out with another person. They must have talked about it but it still wouldn't make it easier for poor Seven!

34. Seven gets jealous when Janeway shows an interest in someone else (Counterpoint, Workforce)
35. Janeway gets jealous when Seven shows an interest in someone else (Unimatrix Zero - "Axum????" <shocked look> )
36. Janeway tries to steer Seven away from any such involvements (Blowing up Unimatrix Zero, Trying to get in on the act in Human Error by offering her assistance instead, changing history in Endgame!)

Seeing the love of her life again. She saw her die...in the arms of that man...from that moment on, the only thing driving her was the thought of finding a way to come back to the past and remedy everything! *sniff* So tragic. *sniff* I just love Janeway! She�d do anything for Seven.

37. Janeway gets completely irrational if anyone dares to take Seven away (Dark Frontier, Equinox)
38. Even the younger crew members recognise that Seven is Janeway's favourite (Naomi wanting to copy Seven to win Janeway's favour (Infinite Regress), Icheb getting Seven to speak to the captain for him (Imperfection))

39. The only time Janeway ever turned up on the bridge facing the wrong way in the turbolift was when Seven was there to distract her (Think Tank)

Janeway and Chakotay did actually have some chemistry between them (and should have been [b9the couple[/b] if the show had been ruled by decent people).
If we're gonna go for the events in "Endgame", there was a romance between Seven and Chakotay.

You obviously haven't met many lesbian couples! You quite often find one older than the other, as you do in a lot of straight couples too.
Anyway, Janeway was only about 15 years older than Seven which is nothing really, especially when you look at how spritely the aged Admiral Janeway was
And as for the seeing "hidden" feelings, founder...well, that's what this thread is about. We've been discussing quite a few of the scenes and episodes where you can see little indications that there may have been something more betweem them. However, if you want to join in and give us your take on any of the scenes mentioned, then that's fine - we love a bit of healthy discussion
We're not saying that everyone has to agree that Janeway and Seven should have been together, just setting out why we think they were/could have been
And as for the thing about fantasies JanewaysHott, have you never really been around the Star Trek fandom?? Let me bring you up to speed with this little thing called shippers and fanfic...everyone's doing it...
Oh, one thing I'd like to add is that if you did take the time to look at most J/7 fanfic, you'll actually find that's it's not just smut (like quite a bit of other shipper fic), but concentrates a lot more on romance and two women who love each other. Now what's wrong with a nice bit of love? |
Yeah, I'm straight and have a boyfriend and even I have read fanfiction anywhere from J/C, to P/T, to J/7, and actually, I think the J/7 fanfics have the best writing. (My boyfriend thinks it's kind of weird, but I have quite a few friends that are gay, and they write a lot of fanfics so it's just pretty normal to me to read them. Just because your straight, doesn't mean you can't enjoy a good story right?) Anyway, the J/7 pairings and writing are the only ones that I find that are true to the characters personalities. I do agree that on the show I saw Janeway and Seven having a mentor/student relationship, but I could definitely see all the J/7 subtext moments where people were wondering about them being a possible couple. And Sazzy, you the one who has the Voyager Conspiracy website right? I watch your videos all the time, and read your fanfics! They're awesome! Especially how creative your videos get. They can be so funny!
