PostWed May 03, 2006 10:21 pm    Wal-Mart Worker Finds Man Glued to Toilet

Quote:
AP
SALISBURY, Md. (May 2) - A 20-year-old was found by a Wal-Mart employee in the bathroom Sunday night after he sat down and was glued to the toilet seat.

The man, whose name was not released by police, was taken to the hospital late Sunday night, said Lt. Cheryl Rantz of the Salisbury Police Department.

"The man had gone into the bathroom and sat down," she said. "He was banging on the wall when the employee came in."

Rantz said the man was treated and released.

There was a case, about a year ago, where a man was found glued to a Home Depot toilet. Turned out the guy in that case glued himself to the toilet, so that he could sue Home Depot. I'd bet this is the same story, second verse.

I mean, come on. You sit on a toilet covered in glue, you're going to notice and stand up before the glue dries to your butt.

SCAM.

While I agree with Theresa on the part that this is very and she had to post it , I also agree with you that it is a SCAM. I mean...besides what you stated about the noticing and standing up part, doesn't glue have a destinctive scent to it as well, and wouldn't you also see it on the seat before sitting down and opening your paper (not included )...I swear, people get stranger and stranger by the day in their efforts to sue companies.

Probably a scam, but take note.

There is such a thing as "contact cement". You can apply it, and it will sit there for days. But the first thing that touches it is stuck. And this one of the strongest types of adhesives.

You might have thought it was water and due to the loo paper supply running dangerously low, you wouldn't have stood up and wiped it off.
And we all know how long some men spend on the toilet- plenty of time for the glue to dry.

Oh disgusting. I'm sure if he saw the seat was wet, he'd have stood over it or something, *puke*

I don't know about you, but when I'm desperate, I don't inspect the seat unless it's blatently obviously dirty or wet.

Uh... I'd have to be on the verge of dying to use a public place, let alone not inspect it first....
